    Something I have done for my dirt bike tubes is I put a thin layer of axle grease one the tire to avoid pinch flats. I’ve been doing it for years and it works great! It also helps put the tube into the tire

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Honestly I would be hesitant to use that method because the grease could potentially break down the rubber or cause it to swell. But if it works well for you, I guess what the heck. lol. Baby powder, soapy water, talc powder, and Tire lubricant are best choices

    I bought brand new tires for my son's pit bike and I put the rear on with a new inner tube, no problem, I put the front tire on the rim with a new inner tube, it won't hold air. Turns out I pinched a hole in it while popping the tire onto the bead. I have destroyed SO many inner tubes that way and I'm just looking for some way to avoid it.

  • @isaacgentz3319
    @isaacgentz3319 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    First time taking the rear off of a Honda XR650l. It was pretty easy to break the bead and get the first iron over once, but the subsequent ones were really hard. However just wearing gloves so I could push harder was the trick! Then you could hear the second iron "pop" past the inner bead and then it right around the rest of the way
    Now to just do the rest...

I've actually started carrying a modified ski pole on my bike, that way if I ever get a flat in the desert (where sticks and logs are not readily available) i can still chock it up on the side stand with it. This is the best video hands down . I’ve watched them all they barely explained anything , like I was stuck on the last part of getting the tire back on and once you said in the video you have to make sure everything is exactly in the bead I went back outside with that rule and kicked that tires behind thanks you earned a sub and follow
