    Spot on man. Luckily, my testosterone has never taken a dip during the worst of my IBD. Interestingly, my LH was in a clinically supraphysiological range of 10+ mIU/mL. This was likely due to parasitic/fungal infection, and I am getting it retested post treatment.
    A few tips for those testing their T:
    1. Do it as early as possible in the morning, when your T is highest.
    2. Fast for 12 hours before the test
    3. Sleep well the night before the test
    4. Eat well in the days prior to the test
    This should give you the most accurate reading of your peak endogenous production.

    Been dealing with the crohn’s and low T combo for about 8-9 years now. I was put on trt for quite a while, that was the best i ever felt. Now i keep my levels under control with diet and herbs. What a drastic change back while being sick to just getting my levels together. Also along with testosterone producing iron to the body it worked hand and hand. Great watch Kenny 👍🏽

Will my doctor take tests if I tell this to her? I have been suffering for years and doctor have not even mentioned this. I think when it comes to testosterone, stress plays the biggest part in low markers. I always notice my libido going away when I'm stressed out. Also masturbating too often can cause low testosterone.

    I'm actually surprised that you didn't shut down the peanut butter idea given that it's a legume that's high in lectins and pro inflammatory (Oméga 6).

    • @team_honnas
      @team_honnas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you’re really trying to be extremely disciplined and not have any junk, then yeah peanut butter is not the best thing. I generally think more in terms of “make sure to eat lots of good things from a gut microbiome and hormonal standpoint, and then you should have wiggle room to eat other things that aren’t on protocol or are that great for you”. Essentially it’s just the 80-20 rule. And since I remember how challenging it was to gain weight bc of IBD, I’m okay with utilizing something like peanut butter or other nut butters to get some extra calories as long as it fits within the 80-20 rule- and as long as it doesn’t noticeably derail your progress obviously. Definitely not my first choice, but if utilized correctly I think there could be some benefits to it despite the lectins and the Omega 6. In my opinion the downsides should be negligible if the other 80% of what you’re eating is geared towards gut microbiome optimization. Hope that clarifies my line of thought!

    • @team_honnas
      @team_honnas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m honestly not sure about the estradiol but I will look into it. There definitely seems to be potential that the 80 ng/dL test could be contributing to IBD symptoms. I believe elevated estradiol is also common when testosterone is low from what I understand, so that might be a link between estradiol and IBD right there. Will need to double check all of that

    Analysing testosterone is a mechanical view of the body.. everything works synergistically so cholesterol, all the other hormones and chemicals that trigger and are triggered by dis-ease are involved. So someone watching this will go out and take testosterone but only cause another problem somewhere else in the body..

    • @team_honnas
      @team_honnas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes there are definitely pros and cons to taking TRT like I said at the end of the video. Not a perfect solution by any means. Way better to try and improve your T levels naturally. Still want people to understand that testosterone levels impact IBD and if they’re a candidate for TRT and their doctor thinks it’s a good idea, might significantly improve their quality of life despite it being an imperfect solution
