Nice video show how to use the product, thank you Emily. Would have been interesting to have done a scope exam of the valves before the treatment and after to see if removed any of the carbon on the back side of the valves.
I use the CRC intake valve and turbo every 5,000 mi because I do an oil change every 5,000 mi with mobile one full synthetic on a 2019 Hyundai Tucson 2.4L
I would just like to say Ms. Emily, that’s got to be the coolest belt I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to go to Pull-a-Part and grab a super cool vintage belt. The only mustang I ever had did NOT have any seatbelts so I’m guessing this came from one that was made after 1967. Anyway, I absolutely love it. Very good video. So glad I run across it. I’ll have to start looking for more of your videos. Great job! Thanks!
Great job and yes this should be part of regular maintenance. After 50 miles of performing this, you need to change the oil and filter. You don’t want the carbon deposits that came loose circulating in the oil and possibly restricting your oil filter.
@@GMK6300L But it has port injection. Those valves should be clean from constantly being washed by fuel. Significant carbon deposits on valves is a GDI issue.
Nice video! Knowing what vacuum port you used would help, although I simple go through the TB. I like your belt! I got a Mustang friend that would really love to have one, but he might need the extended version. Oh, and yes, finger nails come in so handy, I know because I don't have long ones, so I'm always looking for something to remove those foil seals. Not sure if that's your husband, but I'm sure there's a lot of men that would love to have a women that likes to work on cars...like how a lot of women would like to have a man that will cook and clean....but then where's the challenge in that! Keep up the videos, you're doing good!
Straightforward & informative demo.! Question.! Wasn't reprogramming required.? Didn't the car throw a check engine light after removing & installing the throttle body & mass air flow sensor.??
thanks for the video.... good job ..but unfortunately test have show that The GDI cleaners including CRC do very little as far as cleaning the valves themselves.. Direct injection is a real problem with no cheap solution..
Use an old toothbrush and cleaning time cut in half and use much less chemical. Also keep actuator at the top so cleaner doesn’t go into circuit board.
You skipped a step. Your supposed to rev the engine a few times to 3500 rims after spraying the can in. Then let it sit for one hour before driving it.
There is such a thing as replacing them too much. You can actually "dust" an engine out when you do that right(/s)and if inspection deems it still has life then why not.
I don’t understand why the CRC company would make a video with someone using the intake cleaner sprayed on it side. The instructions clearly state not to spray in that position. They really need to make a longer straw or maybe a detachable tube. Everyone else that make its type of product does. And another thing is that no one mentions the turbo cleaning effect. No one anywhere even mentions the word yet it is right on the face of the can.
No chemical can help you. You have to 100% take the intake manifold and clean the orts that are closed and then turn the timing belt or chain to clean the ports that were open. Honestly there's tons of videos that show people cleaning them with different products just be careful not to clean an open port. Hope this helps.
If you have port injection and fuel is being sprayed on the valves. It's the EGR system bringing in the carbon. Good quality oil may help more and more frequent oil changes. With GDI fuel doesn't hit the back of the intake valves.
This actually didn’t look as intimidating to do as I expected. Thanks for the walk through!
Watching this video makes me miss my silver Corvette C6 very much!

Love Emily and CRC.
Could sure see the carbon on the MAF and T body, that worked great cleaning it right off! Nice job and good product 👍
This stuff works great I use it every 12,000 miles.
Thanks for the great feedback!

Great video Emily. You do know that C6 Vettes are port injection and not GDI, right?
Exactly lol.
Such a great kit!!!!
Excellent video and insights, thanks you that... gotta love the Texan gals with the getr done approach!
Emily is a keeper. Reminds me of the gal in "Rolling Thunder".

Nice to hear simp
Love the Mustang seat belt. Belt

Great video 🙂
Emily is much more knowledgeable than the "influencer of the year" who allows dad to build, tune, and maintain her cars for her.
Help me out, who was "influencer of the year" ?
C6 does not have GDI.
😂
Still has intake and valves that need cleaning
@@GMK6300L But it has port injection. Those valves should be clean from constantly being washed by fuel. Significant carbon deposits on valves is a GDI issue.
Please do a video on a 4 cyl. KIA 1.6L Turbo Smartstream Engine? 😊
Looks like a decent bit of kit. Did it help with tuning?
Great job and results, but i would change the oil after that!
Great suggestion. We recommend a GDI service with each oil change
Nice video!

muy buen producto gracias a este video aprendi a darle mantenimiento al cuerpo de aceleracion de mi carro gracias
The LS3 or any other LS isn't a GDI (direct injection) engine.
Why’s the check engine light on?
Often the valve cleaner will do that due to the chemical in the system and the loosed carbon being flushed out. Usually clears itself up in time.
Next time you should have them use it on a GDI engine. The LS in that video is port fuel injection.
thanks for the video.... good job ..but unfortunately test have show that The GDI cleaners including CRC do very little as far as cleaning the valves themselves..
Direct injection is a real problem with no cheap solution..
LEFT THE BRAKE CAP OFF THE TANK
AND HOW WOULD THIS WORK ON A HYBRID GDI ENGINE? (IONIQ HYBRID)
Using the new Valvoline Restore & Protect oil will remove gunk and carbon build up on GDI engines, free sticking oil rings and stop oil burning.
Lucky guy...enough said!!!
Good points.
Use an old toothbrush and cleaning time cut in half and use much less chemical. Also keep actuator at the top so cleaner doesn’t go into circuit board.
Do you still have a check engine light on😅?
But the vette isn't GDI... why cleaning valves ?
You skipped a step. Your supposed to rev the engine a few times to 3500 rims after spraying the can in. Then let it sit for one hour before driving it.
How about using a car that actually has GDI when you title the video how to maintain and clean a GDI engine
Nobodies noticed apparently😂
The LS 2 engine is not GDI.
Why not a new air filter?
There is such a thing as replacing them too much.
You can actually "dust" an engine out when you do that right(/s)and if inspection deems it still has life then why not.
Hmm. I smell BS.😂
Older filter, better filtration.. Proven fact
on most japanese cars DO NOT move the butterfly valve on the TB otherwise you'll need to do a TB reset

Is about atoms!
How was that a cute backfire? 🔥
I might be in love!
The best way of cleaning valves on a GDI engine Is a mechanical clean
Them valve cleaning products don’t work trust me waste of time and money
Like crc products
this is not a gdi motor, not helpful as i have a gdi

Much of this can be avoided by running quality gasoline.... shell ..exxon... chevron..to name a few have more detergents than generic gasolines...

This stuff does nothing
Emily, do you cut grass?.
