  • Winter is here, and that means it's time to wean beef calves. We already put the quiet wean nose flaps in a week ago and it is time to pull them out and separate the cows from the calves. We've used nose flaps for a few years and have really noticed a positive effect on calves health at weaning time. Follow along as we get this job checked off the to-do list! Video 30.

They are an excellent tool to reduce stress at weaning time. A very merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and yours!

At what age are the Quiet Weaners put in, & how long do you leave them in ? When are the calves born ?

We put the Quite Weans in when the calves are around 7-8 months old. They can stay in for 5 to 10 days. Our calves are born in April and May
