  • Finished a walnut bowl but never removed the tenon. It’s finally time to get this project finished. The longworth check helps hold projects in place while removing the tenon. However on this project I wasn’t able to properly hold the project due to the rubber grommets we’re not Able to be reduced enough to fit inside the bowl. I did what I could on the lathe and hand sanded the rest. Thanks for watching

You just can't go wrong with walnut, it's such a beautiful wood. And the bug holes add to the character of the piece nicely. Another beautiful piece. Had me a bit worried with the chucking situation... but it worked out well. Great job! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Glenn, I really appreciate your comments. I agree with the chucking situation. I have seen a great way to re Chuck vases and narrow bowls somewhere in the past. I’m looking for it to make one for myself.
      Thank you. Again

Hello, I would like to ask what brand of spray do you use?

Thank you for watching my videos. I sprayed watco simi gloss lacquer. It dries really fast and doesn’t smell as strong as some other brands.
