    OMG! Excellent information, Mark! I was absolutely immersed in the presentation and was taking copious notes. I was very fortunate when I'd sent you an e-mail a couple of years ago describing an FTE issue, and you'd recommended the replacing of a number of springs, (which I did, BTW) and got my HP back to working like the day I got it! Thank you so much :-)

    Re: cartridge angle in the magazine causing failure to extracts. The bottom of the slide is pushing down on the top cartridge, holding it level until the slide has passed the mid-point of the cartridge during recoil. Also, the case on the breach face is about 1/10 " above the bottom of the slide, making contact with the next cartridge in the magazine very unlikely. That mag may be contributing to failure to extract, but not due to cartridge angle.

    Would like an extended barrel to add a suppressor.

    I have a t series in perfect shape. It has began to not fully cock the hammer after firing but however it does place the hammer in half cock. I have tried different ammo and still have this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

      Your T-Series needs service and specificallyf, the Hammer/Sear/Sear Spring because the hammer is slipping past the sear which is why it's not staying cocked. Your firearm is subject to fire when you load it when the slide goes forward and should not be loaded or used further until that's resolved. If ALL Springs in your Hi-Power have never been replaced, it's a few decades past due at this point. I invite you to reach out to us at 1-877-423-BHSS(2477). We have extremely fast turn-around times of if you are proficient with the Hi-Power's detail strip and reassembly, we can guide advise you on the springs/components to replace and how to test that this malfunction is resolved. In any event, do not chamber a round in that one anymore until the condition is resolved. Take care and be careful. Mark

    Hi Mark can a over stiff hammer spring contribute to failure to eject..my t series 69. Has a very tight hammer making it firstly hard to cock and it feels like this may slow the slide down substantially on backward movement when the hammer is pushed back on cycling.

      It's highly unlikely. A spring out of specs has the potential to bring the whole system out of balance though. The main spring plays a great role in the slide velocity during the recoil but with flawless extractor and extractor springs the lower speed of the slide should not cause any problems for the extraction. I also have a t series 69 model thats in perfect shape. As of late it sometimes fails to fully cock the hammer after firing. It does half cock but does not fully cock. Tried different ammo and it still has the problem. Any ideas?

    Ok it fails the wobble test. After I put a small brass spacer under the spring..cleaned the claw up a bit. In the absence of a new extractor and spring. Would it be readable to shave down the inner foot stop on the extractor to get a tighter bite on the cartridge..

    • @bhspringsolutionsllc555
      @bhspringsolutionsllc555  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      NO! Extractor is produced as it should be. If you shave down the inner foot stop, you'll increase the spring length and the spring will apply less pressure - the problem will remain. New extractor and new spring...

      @@bhspringsolutionsllc555 problem solved..spacer under the spring and a light file on the foot. Passed the wobble test..I out the mag safety back in. It seems to stabilise the trigger bar a bit which was quite wobbly. So for now it's functional until I can find a way to get parts. Hopefully from you.

    As a Tisas Regent BR-9 owner I can assure you, it is a POS. The change out of the extractor and other springs mentioned in this kit were ineffective. I won't buy a new barrel for the thing because I'm sure that won't work either. Tisas refuses to answer my emails about this gun because they know it sucks. The guns simply refuses to extract even the 1st round fired in a cold gun. Remember, Browning died before the final design of the gun. I have NEVER seen any Browning design malfunction so seriously. Whatever you do, avoid Tisas. By the way, BOTH the Tisas and BH extractors failed the rattle test, even with the new extractor spring installed of course. Hi-Powers are too finicky, I will get a 1911 9mm and be happy as a clam.
