Yes he screwed into the frame to fit a rail. Could have used the Ramlite magnetic solution lol.

In older guns like WW2 vintage with internal extractors, should these parts save slide and frame battering ?

I own 2 hi-powers different types. I accidentally mixed the slide stops together when i was refinishing my pistols. I dont know which one goes to each gun... Is that bad?? Or can you just change them and theyre ok??? Please respond.

The slide stop is different in some FEGs and Ishapores. Test the function of the slide stop (keeping the slide open when there is no ammo in the magazine). When installed, the slide stop should remain downwards, and pushing it upwards should require some force. In general, the slide stop is an interchangeable part. Like already said, if the guns are not FEG or Ishapore, you should be OK.
