Thank you for the video - definitely something for everyone. Glad to hear your opinion on the new Hoka Mach 2. Good luck for the XC and also for the forthcoming marathon training. I look forward to seeing further videos.

Thanks, Sarah! Fingers crossed I get a marathon place. I haven't booked anything yet; I'm holding out to see if I get a GFA place. Unfortunately, by the time I get a decision, all the main events like Brighton and Manchester will be sold out, so there’s a chance I might not be doing one next spring.

@@inmruns I hope that you get a marathon place. GFA for London would be amazing. Having done Brighton and London in the same year, I would be tempted to bag a place at Brighton then at least have one marathon to do. Then if get London, you have the choice of doing both or just doing London! Good luck.

Good luck with the x-country. We thought about it but they clash with races we've entered.

Thank you! I'm looking forward to gaining more strength from the races and having a good time. I'm not too concerned about being competitive, so I'm just focusing on enjoying the races. Best of luck with your races! I hope you’re both doing great.

looking forward to your xc vids. I agree about shoe reviews as different ones suit different people but interesting on individual runners thoughts. (I wonder if a different lacing system would help the slight heel issue? )

appreciate your feedback! That's an excellent suggestion! I’ll take a look at the lacing to see if it makes a difference.

Good to hear your thoughts on these Hokas Ian👍
Size 12.5, how much larger do you normally size up on your running shoes to regular shoes? When I had a gait analysis as a running noob at a high street running shop they measured and sold me my regular size shoe. Some black toenails later I’ve now 0.5 sized up in asics gel nimbus and they feel much more comfortable

I appreciate your input! Personally, I tend to select a half size larger than my usual size 12. Since there aren’t numerous brands that carry my size, I typically opt for Adidas or Hoka. It's unfortunate that the store sent you the incorrect size; finding the perfect fit can be challenging. Once you discover what suits you best, it's best to stick with it.
