A Tail of Two Feet. Thanks for the review. I absolutely love my Mach 6's and was looking for something a tad more aggressive. This may fit the bill. I find my shoes seem to fit more on Nick's sizing almost 99% of the time. Have a new pair on the way, and looking forward to trying them out.
Look forward to a versus with the Speed 4. Not really feeling the Speed 4 after loving the Speed 2s I really thought I would…maybe these will be better?
Have you guys been sent a pair of Open Run 2s from Shokz? Be very interested to see your feedback in those and if they're a worthy upgrade on the orginals?!
I'm preparing my first marathon (that is in 2 months, nov. 3rd) with a pair of Clifton 9 and Mach X for tempo/intervals. I've used the Mach X also for 3 10k races this year and a for an half distance triathlon in may. I'm still thinking what shoe to get for the marathon, being a big fan of Hoka I was leaning towards the Cielo X1 but now the Mach X 2 made me question if they're worth the price and if I can use the X 2 succesfully in a marathon. I would love also the carbon X 2 but I think I'm not fast enough, my estimated time is 3h15-20.
Superblast is still the 🐐. The upper is a deal breaker for the hoka. IMO the blast 2 and the endorphin 4 are my favorite daily trainers of 2024 so far.
I don't know who are the runners that are part of Hoka's testing team, but they need to hire other people too. Clearly they are getting a very limited feedback and impacts their decision making.Every new shoe is narrower than the previous one. Awful.
It comes in a Wide version as well. Although probably the Hoka Wide is similar to other brands "normal"...but the fact that they release a normal and a wide in many of their models is positive. However, not a lot of shoe reviewers highlight this point when discussing the fit...let alone test the wide version. @TheRunTesters Kieran who seems to have a wide foot could benefit from that🙂
Wow, this looks to be the perfect training shoe for my Cielo X1. Can't wait to try a pair.
Currently doing most of my running in the Mach X, my race day shoes are the Rocket X. 👀 looking forward to this shoe.
I saw a Hoka ad and then saw only one stock in my size, watching this while i slowly purchased. Ill just return it if not a fit
with this review I just purchased the mach x2 to my rotation
was really waiting for this

Sounds like a great shoe...I just wish HOKA offered better/cleaner/wearable colour options on release. Great review as always still.
Hi guys, thanks, great review as always from you! Looking forard to comparing with Endorphin Speed 4.
Will definitely be getting these shoes
Awesome review!
I think it’s coming out in a wide width as well

This shoe comes in wide width too, but only for one seasonal colourway. More colourways will soon follow, since this shoe has just launched.
Need to find it in WIDE 😂
Just got released
I believe another colourway comes in wide, not the one in the video.
My store just got the black colorway of these a month early, they are sick in person.
Thanks for the video! How would you compare it to the Endorphin Pro 4?
Do you know when it will be released in the UK?

How would you choose between this and the cielo x1? I’m after a fast trainer I can wear into my first proper fast half marathon
for a marathon just under 3 hours, are these Mach X2s without carbon plate or Rocket X2s with plate better?

Bruh that’s a great time.
So when will these be available in eu?
They come in wide ?
One major flaw on the Hoka mach x 2. No cushion on the inside heal which causes bad blisters, so please beware before burying!
I had the same problem. I did multiple runs and it kept bothering me and I came to the conclusion that I'm going to return them.
How does it compare to the New Balance SC v3?
Looks pretty narrow. Hopefully a wide comes out
Is it better than rocket 2?
similar to Saucony endorphin speed 2?
VS the Skyward X?
Skyward X is a much bigger and supportive shoe. This would trend closer to the Cielo X1 than the Skyward. Both very fun to run in.
Superblast is still the 🐐. The upper is a deal breaker for the hoka. IMO the blast 2 and the endorphin 4 are my favorite daily trainers of 2024 so far.
Superblast way too big and bulky .., like running in moon boots. This Mach X2 is a proper running shoe; very impressed
Mach x2 is good, but wide feet as mine would not fit very well @@NickBritten
@@AS-rj5qt Buy the wide version then … they are a brilliant shoe
@@NickBritten I agree having all 3, superblast are bulky to run in & prefer Mach x2 to my endorphin speed 4’s
OMG dare I watch this review, will i be spending more money on my ever expanding shoe collection addiction...
So they made the midsole more comfy but the upper less comfortable. That makes no sense

It’s a fantastic shoe .., actually fits better the more you wear it
Also do a wide version
@@denisp8396 Have you even tried them? They’re actually wider than the Mach 6 … an excellent choice for faster (sub 8 min mile) runs
There is a wide option FYI 👍
so stoked to see a wide version-just ordered to try it out!
Hoka is really out of touch. Who has feet that fit these shoes comfortably?
hoka continues to disappoint on the fit ... and the heel situation on this shoe makes no sense.. pass
