      TVS is a really good company and especially it is the first company in India to take motorsports seriously for the past 30 years albeit with small capacity motorcycles, but it has the pedigree also it is a great company when it comes to fit and finish quality and is the second largest motorcycle manufacturer in India. There Motorcycles are always known as great handling machines due to their local motor-sporting presents for 30 years now, But now they have started to venture outside of India and I think that will help them make bigger capacity motorcycles and it is good for both India and Europe, as it is a very trustworthy company (cannot be said the same about servicing network which has been a hit or miss in India at least).
      Tvs recently acquired Norton motorcycle UK and great things are about to unfold. Europe is actually getting a good option with TVS if they enter the market with large capacity motorcycles.

    I am the owner of this bike. TVS is motorcycle company which manufacturers BMW's 310 series which by the way is around 25% of its sales. TVS calls Ronin as unscripted ie. does not fall in standard categorization. Its good candidate if you want to customize it. Its power may not be sufficient for empty and good quality roads of EU and NA but in India it has got perfect speed + fuel efficiency combo. If driven well it can give upto 50 KM/Litre of Petrol. Surprised and delighted to see Ronin running in EU Alps.

    Lol wasn't expecting to see this TVS in the hands of international reviewers
    Edit:- it's no scrambler, it's a wierd crossover between a scrambler and a cruiser. Yeah doesn't sell well in India either. Comfy city commuter though

    • @arindamchowdhury4231
      @arindamchowdhury4231 หลายเดือนก่อน +54

      Yes it's a crossover but not weird. It's actually a very balanced machine targeted to young and beginner riders who wants to use their bike for occasional touring and daily city rides. Their are plenty of bikes in market for different purposes like adventure, tourer , scrambler, sporty....but you can't buy all . Customer must understand their purpose then choose. I've seen many sad customers of Royal Enfield as well as I've also seen many happy customer of Hero super splendor.
      If the rider is good he will surely find a way to get the best performance of his bike.

    • @Darptrolling
      @Darptrolling หลายเดือนก่อน +34

      Very stupid comment. I guess you haven't ridden the bike well. I personally own tvs ronin & ridden almost 20,000km in 1 year, very balanced machine with enough power (I used to cruise at 90-100 with saddle, tank bag and with pillion), seating position top notch with lots of features and good power to weight ratio. You can ride it in the city, bumper to bumper traffic, do some little off-road, anything. A very well built and smooth machine by tvs. At least better than any bike in this price segment.

    • @ScootScoot125
      @ScootScoot125 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@arindamchowdhury4231 I found it weird because a scrambler shines in the rough stuff while a cruiser is the exact opposite, good for TVS though, tried something different and unique.
      And RE very rarely has happy customers, most of them haven't ridden it for long or haven't lived with it long enough. It was all mechanical issues before the twins and J series, after this it was mainly electrical or SC messing up. If your luck was really bad then mechanical issues too.
      Can't argue with the rest of the points, makes sense.

      Any chance you were in the Bullet riding group out of Mumbai? One of my friend from there currently rides a Ronin with similarly high running. He's done numerous Goa-Ladakh, Darjeeling and many more on the Ronin so the touring capability isn't the one to be questioned. He's a little over 52yrs old so that makes it even more impressive.
      The point was, this bike isn't the one for me. Ik any bike can be a touring bike but 20hp out on the highway is just a sedate cruiser, not into it anymore. Can't beat the value in the price segment though, far better in the city than it's supposed rival from RE.

    I wasn't expecting to see TVS in Europe tbh, but otherwise I quite like your video!
    I live in Indonesia, and here, the price and the market situation is completely different compared to Europe or India.
    Here, its closest competitors are Yamaha XSR155 (~2200 euro, converted) and SM Master 200 (~2500 euro, converted). TVS Ronin 225 is actually the cheapest (~2000 euro, converted). Forget about the likes of Triumph and Royal Enfield, as they're much more expensive here (Royal Enfield meteor 350 starts at ~6000 euro, converted)
    I tried Ronin at my local dealership, I didn't really like its color but I quite like its seating position. However it's too heavy for me (~160kg?) since us Indonesian have smaller stature compared to Indian or European

    ◆ Fuel tank that belongs to a Muscle bike (an Intimidating Street fighter bike).
    ◆ Tyres , Ground clearance and Engine gaurd from a scrabler.
    ◆ Seating and Foot Pegs position from a cruiser bike.

    Brother it does not have riding modes.. the modes button is only for the ABS. Rain and urban mode.. in rain the ABS will intervene more and in urban mode there will be less intevention. Actually this makes a lot of sense as in rainy season in India on a slippers road rain ABS mode works perfectly fine. Hope this helps. I think a person who does not have a preconceived notion will be able to judge TVS Ronin better.

      Thanks for clearing that up. But I wouldn't say that I had a preconceived notion, although I am for sure used to a different kind of motorcycling, which probably is true for every European rider. But I really liked and appreciated the Ronin for its sturdiness and the pure joy of riding it provided. Cheers, yoyr McGregor ✌️

  • @shree397
    @shree397 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

    TVS is a really good company and especially it is the first company in India to take motorsports seriously for the past 30 years albeit with small capacity motorcycles, but it has the pedigree also it is a great company when it comes to fit and finish quality and is the second largest motorcycle manufacturer in India. There Motorcycles are always known as great handling machines due to their local motor-sporting presence for 30 years now, But now they have started to venture outside of India and I think that will help them make bigger capacity motorcycles and it is good for both India and Europe, as it is a very trustworthy company (cannot be said the same about servicing network which has been a hit or miss in India at least).
    Tvs recently acquired Norton motorcycle UK and great things are about to unfold. Europe is actually getting a good option with TVS if they enter the market with large capacity motorcycles.

It's power is almost 40 bhp and this got only 20 bhp. Offcourse There will be difference in performance. But if you compare hunter and Ronin hunter got top end but Ronin got good initials because both of them comes almost in similar power (around 20bhp)
