    hello, I love your channel and i was hoping to get a good response on this question. For the 2 8pin power connectors intel boards require. How do you bend those cables and get clearance for the 360mm AIO? I was so afraid to flex the cable. Using an Asus Tuf z790 board, this case, Corsair iCUE H150i Elite CAPELLIX XT. Currently I have the CPU cables running along the top right side of case through the grommet to the pins. Is it possible i can bend the corsair rm1000 shift CPU cables enough to not break it then attach it?

    Nice detailed video. Question if you don't mind? I'm currently doing a build with this case and 10 QL 120 fans and the new iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT AIO. I'm thinking since the AIO comes with the Commander Core and I bought a Commander Core XT I can remove the PWM repeater and lighting node core that come in the case and control all 10 fans and their LEDs with the Commander Core and Commander Core XT?

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi BP, yes, that is how I would do it. You gain the ability to control all the RGB and the Power/Speed control in ICUE doing it that way, along with some RGB expansion ports and Temp Probes.
      Sounds like an awesome build going on! Good Luck and have Fun with it! Thanks for watching!!!

      ridicolous....its way to expensive...
      take arctic p12 argb fans
      arctic freezer II 360 aio
      you dont need the commander for this.
      put 3 fans together and put it in 1 sys fan port on mb
      you can do all settings from mainboard...and the rgb goes with the mainboard software in windows, on my point i use msi dragon center.
      dont like the corsair rgb capelix things, all rgb components of corsair are extreme expensive and not the money worth.

    Excellent! I ordered my 5000x today and your video gave me even better insight as to what to expect, good job! My biggest concern is my AIO, my current Phantex case claimed it could handle an AIO on the top with (3) 120mm fans, but I found that it's way too tight and actually covers a portion of the top of my motherboard and interferes with my ram...not good. This case looks like it will support a top mount of my 360 AIO without interfering. can you confirm that? Did you have any problems installing yours? Thanks for the helpful video!

    I bought a 5000D (not the 5000X depicted) and I'm a huge fan of this platform. One thing people should know - Corsair has great support, and they sell all of the parts of these cases on their website, and they sell them at reasonable prices.
    Because all (or virtually all) of the parts on these 5000N cases are interchangeable, you can upgrade or redesign your case in an affordable way. So for example you could buy the vanilla 5000D, then later upgrade the top and front panel to the glass versions in the 5000X. The front panels are only $15.
    I got my 5000D on sale, but it wasn't the airflow version, so I spent $15 to get the airflow front panel.

    I have this same case, 7 QL rgb 120 fans with the 3 rgb fans that came with the H150i. I also want to install Corsair light strips and the HX1000i psu. I have the Commander Core XT, how would you recommend I connect the Commander CORE XT to the Commander CORE? Also, will I be able to control all 10 fans individually having 6 fans connected to the CORE XT and the other 4 connected to the CORE? PLEASE HELP? Thank you! Love your channel!

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi AMD Guru! That's a great question! Technically speaking there is no need to connect the CORE XT to the Commander CORE. From an iCUE perspective, it's just detects both of them individually from their USB connections.
      You can connect the Commander CORE To the usb pigtail on the CORE XT to save a motherboard USB header, but this is not technically required.
      Yes, with both the commander CORE and the CORE XT, you will gain individual control (RGB and SPEED) over all 10 fans. You can create custom fan curves (Or use the existing ones) and apply them to whatever fans you want.
      Sounds like you have an awesome setup! Thanks for your kind feedback, that makes it worth doing videos. RGB is awesome stuff, haha!!

It went from what seemed like an impossible task to something that was very easy! Both the Commander CORE and Commander CORE XT show up and are working correctly. The psu and ram also are showing up and working correctly. I used two USB 2.0 splitters because it took 4 headers. Couldn't have done it without your help!

      Hi Willis, this case should include 3 120mm fans to get you started. Depending on your build you will need additional fans. But, if your adding an AIO for example, that will come with fans helping reduce the amount of additional fans you need, if any. I would of rather had mounting places for 3.5 inch platter drives where that side radiator is. This case is very confusing to me as far as RGB goes. I bought the 5000D and once you buy into the Corsair ecosystem, you realize, it's way over priced. SO rather than being happy, I have very mixed feelings. Maybe the Phantek route with the NV7 might have been better.
    Once you buy the case, fans, AIO, fans... you've spent $500 and still don't have really a single computer part... yet.

    I got this case in black;
    and regarding "Should handle anything i need to throw at it" is not exactly true. My kid threw his cup in his anger of not getting what he wanted (he is only 3 years old) and the glass window and the lower "case" that PSU covering this in bottom, that part you took out, the screw area that holds the cover down broke, must have been a production error, screwed to hard, i have not touched i though. So, it does not handle things you need to throw at it.
    Of course i took your words literally and made it a "joke" even though my event is true.

    The more build videos I watch on this the more I regret buying it... it looks confusing as phwk. The whole Corsair RGB lighting ecosystem looks like a total mess. Ideally the wiring for the fans should be embedded or prewired intot he case, and you just plug your fans with a one inch cable into a jack right next to it... all those jacks lead by hidden wiring to an already embedded Commander controller. Instead, you' have this... rat's nest.

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi M S, I totally get that. Once you work with it, it’s not that confusing. That said, it can be a rats nest that you have to deal with and I would be onboard with a Corsair system that eliminated all the wires, a pre wired system as you described would be cool to see. There are some fan systems such as Lian Li that simplify it, but they aren’t perfect either! We all feel the pain of RGB lighting, haha. Have fun with it and let me know if I can help!!
