Lee Harris can wail on that guitar! And he was like Roger, you’re my idol and you are not getting out of here with just a hand shake! Lee, thank you so much for having the vision and drive to put this all together...you rock!!
I was at this show. And to think that going in I was grumbling a bit about the cost of a ticket, because I saw the core four in 1975 for about $9. I still get shivers from this moment. If I had known Roger would show up and sing "Set the Controls..." with Nick, I'd have paid $1000 to get in if I had to. We also "hit the lottery" because Roger didn't come to the show the next night, which was a Friday night. No matter what, a dream show. They played some songs that were mostly only available as bootlegs. They closed the night(!) with the commercial flop "Point Me at the Sky" but they played such a great quality arrangement of it that for the first time I LOVED that song. A show not to be missed!
I saw this show a few weeks ago, quite simply one of the best concerts i had ever been to, i could only imagine what it was like to have Roger in the house. How cool was it to see Nick and Roger on stage together smiling, This made my day!
I saw it at Augusta Raurica this July and it was like time travel. When they started 'Set the controls for the heart of the sun' the sun was setting behind the stage in an eternal red, the whole emanated a kind of energy so intense it was almost hurting - divine power. The music sounded exactly as I could imagine from the record (which itself is beyond great). Having been able to hear that live was a revelation. There is no Band who can play that very special Waltz like movement and pair it with power so intense that it needs only a small step to reach at the energy of the great Punk Bands later on, and it is still in there right beneath the surface. Nick is definitly one of the greatest Rock-Drummers - subtle - but with a very special time feel. I can fully understand why he loves fast cars...
I was just at their second concert today. I was kind of dragged out by my older brother not knowing what to expect to see from a "a bunch of old guys" (as I so naively thought). Let me tell you, I was completely blown away. I like Pink Floyd alot but I'm by no means die hard fan and I only knew about three of the songs I heard when I went but holy shit am I glad I went. It's an experience that comes very rarely and is really amazing. They played "brilliantly" as they would say and I was able to just rock my head back and forth to the music not even knowing it.
I could`nt believe my eyes when i came across this video!... Roger and Nick playing together again.... Fantastic!! Its one of my favourite Pink Floyd songs!! Thank you so much for sharing this precious video, man!! God bless you! Long live Pink Floyd
Amazing to see these guys still performing so well 50+ years on. Unlikely there would be any artists of today still pulling off world-tours 50 years from now.
Yes! The early Floyd albums are totally wonderful. I still think the Ummagumma version of Set the Controls is the best, listen to Rick Wright's haunting melodic playing at the end of it...
As far as I’m concerned Pink Floyd did not produce anything worthwhile until the album Meddle- See Emily Play is the only exception, all the other stuff is just drug infused drival- including this garbage
I saw Nick in Toronto on April 13th. No Roger but still an amazing show. What made the show so special for me was bringing my 17 year old daughter with to experience the music of Floyd live. This was my 18 show with the members of Floyd starting with my first show back in 1978 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Wonderful memories!
When I think of PF back in the day this is what I think of. Hope Gilmour gets a chance to set in too. Leave it to Nick to figure out to just keep it simple and have fun.
Congrats to RT for providing a memorable capture. Nice work. And the audio is just great. If you tell me this is from an iPhone... I think I'll have to change my whole process of capturing shows. Very well done. (Tell us there's more of this in the can...) I saw the show on 4-3 and we thought it was a great show then.
Haha! It's taken with a Samsung S9. I took two more on the 1st night, that are on my little Panasonic camera. Will upload next week. The sound was sublime at the Beacon btw.
there is one spot where he turns after banging the gong, you can see the fire in his eyes, and a huge smile, my whole spirit rose to see just that brief place where I got to see his youth return for a moment,. DejaVu,,, if I were GOD, I would make Roger Waters just as he was, is, and will always be.
I love this... I wish that Roger and David got along as well as Roger and nick.. Then maybe we would have some sort of A Pink Floyd Before they all check out of this world
Both Nick and Roger would be open to the idea. But David unfortunately would never agree to such a thing. He has his own personal reasons for this, which I'm not to judge.
@Brandon Cole Would be great idea but I recall David's said he would never perform in Pink Floyd again. They should form a band and rename it (because Rick's not here anymore) as Floydian Slip (that would be a great tongue-in-cheek name :-) ) Great to see Nick and Roger performing together...
3rd row seats just to the left..excellent seats..buuuuttt...vip?..not so much.. 2 stickers, water bottle, lancet with a fake backstage pass and a piece of stone with the saucerful design imprinted on it very badly and made in china...very pissed off..bit the seats were great
Nick Masons A Saucerful of Secrets-Project is one of the last chances to hear this music with an original member of Pink Floyd live. I saw the show in Berlin, Tempodrom. It was amazing.
It's amazing to watch the changes in people's lives, you see; Roger going to the stage of Nick Mason, he was not very supportive of the other members of the group, so I'm saying this. I am an unconditional fan of him but ... I observe changes in him. Congratulations Roger and for Nick just wish SUCCESS. I'm surprised Roger did not talk to Nick.
What a lucky audience.
Nick Mason has such a good sense of humor. " OK, he's a very shy person". haha
Beautiful. Just beautiful. Glad to see Nick and Roger working together amicably.
Lee Harris can wail on that guitar! And he was like Roger, you’re my idol and you are not getting out of here with just a hand shake! Lee, thank you so much for having the vision and drive to put this all together...you rock!!
You noticed the hug! Thank you for saying so... You are most welcome. I am pleased you enjoy our little beat combo! L x

Wow!!! Nick and Roger on the same scene in 2019. Who would believe this? Fantastic!!!
The remained friends through it all. Waters and Gilmour.... Well... Rest is history.
I love this...50 plus years on, Nick & Rog are still bringing PF to life onstage.
I saw this show a few weeks ago, quite simply one of the best concerts i had ever been to, i could only imagine what it was like to have Roger in the house. How cool was it to see Nick and Roger on stage together smiling, This made my day!
This made my year ❤️❤️

Is that Guy Pratt? How awesome if that is!!.....never thought I'd see those 2 on stage together...✌
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!
I was there....One of the Best Concerts and experiences I've ever been a part of!
Was so good I went the next night, 2nd Row
I was just at their second concert today. I was kind of dragged out by my older brother not knowing what to expect to see from a "a bunch of old guys" (as I so naively thought). Roger, Nick & David reunite and each picks 1/3 of the set, regardless of which LP (or band) the songs come from. I know...it's just a dream.
Wow thank you for uploading this video
OMG! How did I miss seeing this show?! Must’ve been sold out. Love early Pink Floyd. Hope Roger plays more gigs with Nick! Awesome!!
5:13 will go down in history
That is astounding. A very cool surprise for the audience.
Wow, thanks for putting this up! Peace 😉
Brilliant. Thanks for posting.
Flashback to seeing Pink Floyd do this at Hunter College Theatre in 1971.
Fantastic bootleg out there of Hunter College!!! Spectacular Embryo!! I'm very envious of you Greg! Shine On.
Greg: Lucky You! I was two years old 1971 but atleast i saw Pink Floyd here in Sweden 1988 and 1994
Super!! I was 1. I did get to work with Floyd in 94. Truly blessed.
You are a blessed man!
The amazing 'thing' from the last three years!
Amazing to see these guys still performing so well 50+ years on. Unlikely there would be any artists of today still pulling off world-tours 50 years from now.
The show was so exciting to see and hear. And having Roger Waters join in made it so much better!
WOW, what a treat
Incredible to see this again! I hope to see them on this tour! 💗🙌
Que fantastico ver a Nick y Roger juntos de nuevo en un escenario!! Afortunada esta audiencia, me hubiera encantado estar ahi!!
A Legend , Revived In Front of Our Eyes . I mean these 2 doing this song .
what a lucky day for the fan.
Nick and Roger Heart of the Sun prachtig !
Love the early Floyd. Roger & Nick together again.

F@cking brilliant.
Crazy seeing Roger next to the person who replaced him when he left Pink Floyd. Time heals all wounds!
Paulo A I thought that! I wonder what conversations they had... (if any!)
Afterall IT was Waters fault.
Nice to see that the hug Roger gave Guy at the end looked genuine too! Life’s too short, I think they are all finally realising that.
some times time dos not heal ask David Gilmour
The man who brought slap bass to Pink Floyd. Hmmmm 🤔
Roger hits the Pompeji gong again!
Get it on, Bang a Gong!!! Bless you, Roger!!!
I saw a show in Buffalo NY and it was mind blowing. THIS? 😳 whoa truly historic and amazing!
So crazy legendary in so many ways.... Like Roger ever thought he would sing this song again
How COOL IS THIS!!!
I was there!
Amazing.
Love it...
So good! Thanks for posting this!
The first if many great lyrics from Rog
Unless you count Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk.
Caught the show in SF. Too bad Roger wasn't at the show I went to.
DJ Nurse Annabella was there too, would have been awesome if roger showed up lol
Guy Pratt: "oh fuck it's that guy David told me about... the one I replaced in '87....awkward"
Absolutely magnificent, if only Rick was here to join em
Nice to see Roger Waters still at it...nice vibe.
This is amazing to see
When I think of PF back in the day this is what I think of. Hope Gilmour gets a chance to set in too. Leave it to Nick to figure out to just keep it simple and have fun.
David Gilmour is Pink Floyd, along with the sadly departed Rick Wright
mindblower
The concert in Washington, DC was equally amazing! It was perhaps the last time Nick Mason will ever in play in the U.S.
oh rub it in, glad you made it though.
I seen this last night.. (4/19/2019) Waters wasn't there though..but still an awesome show, I got Nick's Autograph!
How did you get his autograph?
Was it arranged?
Wow.
Wooow
Yeah, so.. This is awesome!! 😀
now only missing David Gilmour
@StormyKniight "Rick Wright was a HUGE factor"
That he was...unfortunately Rick passed away in 2008.
Dave and Nick played in Roger's The Wall solo show at the o2 Arena in 2011.
One of the bands best.
Great camera work on this historic moment.
We used to partake in the herb and lie on the floor listening to this back in the day. :P
Very cool 👏👏👏
Et pourquoi j'y étais pas ? Grandiose ! La prochaine fois, merci de me prévenir à l'avance ;)
Fantastic. 💞

A subtle beauty
I nearly crapped my pants when I saw this live
Plot twist : Roger Waters join Nick's band
Never say never
Maravilloso, wonderful. From Sevilla city, Spain. España.
How I wish I was there !!!! 😩
Did they play... see emily play..... that song sticks in my head

A Saucerful of secrets Australian Tour please ✌🏻
I second, third and fourth that! ✌
Maravilhoso
One of my favourite pink floyd tunes
I just saw sid, moving around ☮️💓😊
7:05 The bass player looks at Nick: "Wait a minute. Isn't Roger gonna finish the song?"
Дай вам Бог здоровья и приезжайте к нам ,все вместе.
Que afortunada esa gente!
wooooow
Worth the 💸 to 👀 this live. Very impressive. 😎
Roger needed to show up at this concert where it all started. .. Cambridge
Good.
Nice nice 👍
Grande Roger.
Imagine if David Gilmour had shown up?
amazing but song isnt the same without rick. rick was the highlight of this song
@@UlyssesM come on man
A+
🥰
I am in confusion, how Sir Nick Mason is managing small gigs like these.
@William Loudermilk Thanks, Indeed. But, I was just thinking about how the expense is managed. Just from the viewpoint of an event managing team.
i miss ricks farfisa organ
I just wish we had a live stream of Syd playing some songs in heaven,
How do you know he's in Heaven? Not all dead people go to Heaven!
@@crusadeagainstgreedyentert4865 it's Syd, man
half pink floyd reunion
Exactly my thought!
Since Guy is Rick's son-in-law, we have a 3/4's PF reunion.
The bomb
When will Roger, David and Nick come to LA, and fill Dodger Stadium for 2 or 3 nights?
