What would be your argument for bird over magic and wilt? I respect it tho
@@ThisisASportsJungleWilt has only 2 rings when the NBA had 11 teams 😂. You said Bird isn't a great playoff performer but he has way better stats (if you translate them in a normal league). If we assume that normal is 100 ppg and 45 rebounds for a team then Wilt scored 15ppg and had 3 assists and grabbed 16 rebounds Because it easy to say stats and accolades but not all eras were the same. If you watch Bill Russell documentary u hear that his couch told him to not jump to get a Block😂. So Wilt played in a league were most players didn't even try to Block him. Birds stats in the same logic are 23 ppg 10 rebounds and 6 assists While having almost 50/36/90 splits. To me that is way more impressive. Especially if you add the Championships. Also is Kareem first? If it wasn't about Magic he would have 1 ring. He has MVPS but he didn't really had much competition so im not that impressed. Mj would have 6 too if he played in prime Kareem era. And MJ has as many championships while being way better in these championships (Just ask anyone wich era was the easiest and which was the hardest and you will see why people have MJ and Lebron above Kareem). Kareem literally got carried in his last 2. Karrem was good at 36 but MJ was even better so I don't think Karrem has a better longevity he just decided to play more because his team was good enough to even make the finals without him. Also every old player has a lot of blocks. It was way easier for a big man to Block shoots before the 3 point revolution (or 3 point in general). Jordan in his first 3 championships had almost no help (Scottie was a good defender but 10 ppg isn't that much). Karrem won 4/6 championships while not even being the best player on his team. And even in the other 2 he had A LOT of help. And 1 of them was when 3 point didn't exist and the NBA had 17 teams. Just look at their stats in the finals or the stats in general and you will see why despite having 6 rings they don't count as much as MJs. And believe me taking MVP instead of Karl malone or Hakeem is WAY WAY harder than talking mvp fro Bob Maccado. Anyway my point is Jordan dominante a bit more than Kareem (Karrem won only 1 championship in his prime years). But he did it in a way way harder era. Btw of course I respect Karrem and he is an insane player. But imo he dominated in years were nobody else was hood enough to dominate. (MJ's competition for the best was Haqeem, Malone, young Shaq, prime Magic, and many many more. While outside of oscar Robertson who was his teammate the only top 20 player on the 70s was Dr J and Moses Malone.) And won most of his championships while being on a team were most top 10 player would have won (Magic was the guy on those teams not Kareem. Karrem did nothing on the Lakers without Magic while Magic even went to the finals without Karrem). Especially in his last 2 he looked like a slightly above average Center. Anyway please reply i would love to learn your opinion about what i said. 😅
@@philip5454 wilt had to go against the greatest dynasty in sports history lol. And bird had just 1 more ring than wilt despite playing with more consistent talent (Maxwell, Johnson, mchale, Parrish, white, Lewis, etc.) so I don’t think the ring count is too important of a factor here. And yes I know that bird is a better playoff performer than wilt that’s why I said that wilts biggest knock is his playoff performance in terms of legacy but then I said bird also isn’t a great playoff performer so it’s not enough of a needle mover considering wilt has the massive gap in peak/prime. Wilt is a significantly more impactful player as his defense and scoring are both legendary and he’s also a pretty good playmaker (Bird only has the edge in playmaking) wilt also accomplished more and has more longevity by a lot. Also they couldn’t block wilt so it was best to not try😂 and Kareem’s last 2 he wasn’t very good but his 5th ring he was still a really solid big who the lakers knew could give them 2 points at any moment. Plus it’s more than just rings why he’s the GOAT. You can’t downplay the comp Kareem had because he crossed many eras. He played the wilt chamberlains, the Moses Malones AND the Hakeem Olajuwons. Yes the mid to late 70s comp wasn’t great but Kareem dominated even when the comp picked up in the 80s and had many MVP level seasons in the 80s. And for the MJ thing sure MJ was better than Kareem in those runs he’s the best playoff and finals performer ever most likely but Kareem in 4 of the 6 was flat out historical during those runs especially in 1980 and 71. MJ at 36 was 2 years removed from basketball lol and he came back 2 years later and was genuinely a negative impact player who probably shouldn’t have played those years. Kareem’s longevity is legitimately a million times better than MJ as he was washed after just 13 seasons AND in 2 of the 13 he barely played in the regular season. Nobody in the history of basketball has the longevity that Kareem has you can argue Lebron but Kareem’s is much more impressive given the fact that players didn’t last long in that era vs in this era players are affective at an old age we see it with Chris Paul, Kevin Durant and Steph curry. In the 70s-80s it wasn’t like that at all. Kareem was an anomaly. A top 3 scorer ever, a top 15 defender ever, one of the greatest rebounders ever, imo the greatest 2 way player ever and the greatest longevity ever while also being consistent on both ends throughout his career. He is the ONLY player in NBA history you can say all those things about. Therefore, he is the GOAT I guess we both wrote books 😭😭💯

@@ThisisASportsJungle I hope everyone doesn't burn me at the stake for saying this, but I think Shaq's career is a little overrated. It kind of fell off pretty exponentially after he got shipped out of LA. Ultimately dwindling down to borderline journeyman status towards the end of his career. His prime was undeniably uncontested, but you said longevity was a big criteria. He never fixed his free throws or maintain peak shape like Lebron. That's not supreme greatness to me.
@@oooohsnaaaap those are definitely fair points bro but I think people look at shaqs late career a little differently than it was. Shaq was an allnba guy at 36 in 2009 with the suns then in Miami he was still arguably the best center in the league. He didn’t fall off until he was 37 years old in Cleveland so that’s really good longevity imo. I definitely see where you’re coming from because his longevity doesn’t pop out the page like a Kareem or a Lebron or Kobe or Duncan
I would switch Kareem and Jordan. Kareem went quite a few years during his prime not winning any chips after he got that one in Milwaukee with Robertson (another elite all-time great player). Kareem himself in an interview stated he wasn't better than Jordan. People also want to harp on Kareem winning more RSMVPs than anyone else in history but fail to acknowledge he won one (in 1976) when his team didn't even make the playoffs, nor were they over .500. How many players from the mid 80s until now get the RSMVP without their team at least making it to the playoffs and having a decent record at that? Lastly, LA began to win again after Magic came to the team and they got the players they needed to get them over the hump. Regardless, if people put Kareem above Jordan, that is cool.

If you watch Bill Russell documentary u hear that his couch told him to not jump to get a Block😂. So Wilt played in a league were most players didn't even try to Block him.
Birds stats in the same logic are
23 ppg 10 rebounds and 6 assists
While having almost 50/36/90 splits.
While outside of oscar Robertson who was his teammate the only top 20 player on the 70s was Dr J and Moses Malone.)
And won most of his championships while being on a team were most top 10 player would have won (Magic was the guy on those teams not Kareem. Karrem did nothing on the Lakers without Magic while Magic even went to the finals without Karrem).
Especially in his last 2 he looked like a slightly above average Center.
Anyway please reply i would love to learn your opinion about what i said. 😅
yes replace LBJ
@@philip5454 just saw this lol you wrote a lot I got you holdup bro
Therefore, he is the GOAT

@@oooohsnaaaap those are definitely fair points bro but I think people look at shaqs late career a little differently than it was. In terms of pound for pound raw talent and skill, Curry is probably No. 1

1. Jordan

I would swap MJ and Kareem, aside from that the list is legit .
Yessir appreciate you bro. And MJ and Kareem are very interchangeable for me
I think Tim Duncan should be replaced by Larry Bird
Why?
@@ThisisASportsJungle c'mon you chose Magic but not Bird ? With their rivalries over the years ? Tim was superb player, but his greatness not comparable with Magid & Bird.
Magic had slightly better longevity and was a better big game player. Also think he was a little more impactful. Duncan’s longevity and playoff dominance exceeds bird by a lot imo

JORDAN #1-------BIRD # 8---WHERE IS CURRY? NOT ACCURATE
Curry just missed it. But I can see the argument for MJ 1st and Bird 8th

Julius irving larry bird should be in top 10
Yea I can see an argument for bird. Dr J is an interesting one
Lbj top 15 all time 🔥🔥🔥at best, king james 👑👑👑
Karen #3 , Jordan #1
@@H20-s1b I don’t hate that at all
How could Kareem be the best player of all time
I explained in the video bro. Greatest longevity ever, top 5 prime ever, greatest accolades ever, imo the best OVERALL 2 way player ever, GREAT playoff performer, very few blemishes on his resume, top 3 scorer ever. When you add all that up you have the greatest of alltime
WILT is the G.O.A.T. and it a'int even close.
Wilt should be top five
Peak for peak and just talent wise I can definitely see that but alltime nah I don’t think so
Big Jordan fan here. I always put him number 1. But i'm ok with you putting him at number 2 as long as the great narcissist Lebron ranks below mj
😂😂💯
Mj#1
It’s bill russell he has 5 more 💍 than jordan
JORDAN 1 and KOBE 2 then everybodyelse!
Well, I kinda have a problem with this list as follows:
- I would never put Lebron as better than Kolby and I definitely would not put him 3rd all time.
-And Larry Bird is not on this list?? Why?? Larry is definitely better than Lebron.
- and Jorden should be #1.
Why do you think bird is better than Lebron I’m curious
This list is horrible 🤦
MJ is the undisputed 🐐.
What’s horrible about it? Because I’m not brainwashed enough to think someone else has an argument over MJ lol?
@@ThisisASportsJungle hahaha 😂 you have no credibility! 😂✌️
@@ryandecibar8826 you don’t have any either lmao you don’t know what sport

Appreciate you bro💯🙏 and yea I’d probably put Larry 11 too. I don’t mind it tho lol regardless of who I put on you just know there would be people complaining regardless lol
I will never understand how people put Bron over Kobe in anyway. I have MJ, Wilt and Kobe in my top 3 All Time the rest you can line them up how you want.
Lebron to me was just a clear better player who lasted longer at the top than Kobe
@@ThisisASportsJungle based off of what ? No bias here either when you compare what Kobe actually accomplished in his career with a better finals record than Bron shit the ball better played better constant Basketball. The longevity thing is a joke Bron doesn’t even play all 82 games and he load manages and stand around butting his nails playing no defense and all time leader in turnovers, Played with more help than the Red Cross🤣
@@ThisisASportsJungle Bron should not even be mentioned with MJ it ain’t close it’s a silly debate I’ve seen Kobe go against the Goat but I’ve seen Bron get cooked by Jason Terry 🤣 make it make sense.
@@Sldumas1983 you look at the passing difference between the 2 and Lebron is more versatile and impactful on defense than Kobe. I think Kobe is a better scorer and overall shooter but bron is a better player. Longevity still matters bro lol even if Lebron load manages that’s just the way the modern NBA is. I do think on a scale it makes it less impressive than a Kareem style longevity but I’d still put it over Kobe’s especially since Kobe didn’t play much his first couple years
@@ThisisASportsJungle That makes no sense how is Bron a better defender than Kobe, How many first team defenses does Bron have to Kobe’s 5 Bron 9 Kobe tied with KG and MJ so your opinion there makes no sense how don’t even constantly play defense 🤣
Larry Bird has to bump someone from this list - right?
I don’t think so bro but he definitely has an argument to do so. I have wilt at 10 and I think besides post season play and passing wilt has a pretty big advantage in everything that matters on an alltime list imo
Mj is the greatest of all time the highest scorer in nba history regular season and playoffs can't be touched
I think he’s the BEST player ever but greatness wise I have Kareem slightly ahead for longevity and he was consistent on both ends his whole career while also not having any blemishes
mj at 1
kobe at 2
LbJ 3
Magic or Bird 4
bill wilt and Kareem at 5
Fair. Why magic and bird above Kareem tho bro
Where's Jerry West and Larry Bird? 😢
Both very good and would be in my top 15 most likely but the 10 above are just so good bro
How could u leave Curry out of top 5, let alone top 10. The guy has revolutionized the game with his shooting abilities, has 4 rings so far, most winning season, etc..
Really just missed out. I have wilt as the first one out and his longevity is a little better than Steph he also has a better peak. He’s a better scorer and a million times the defender. Wilts biggest flaw is playoff performance but curry’s overall game gets worse in the post season as well bro. Then for magic I think magic is just a tiny bit better. Similar longevity similar peak. But magic as an overall player to me is better at playmaking passing rebounding and is a better defender (although both aren’t great magic provides value as he can guard a lot of positions) magic is also a significantly better big game player who’s game actually gets better in big moments while curry’s gets slightly worse. Curry definitely has an argument and I’d be surprised if he doesn’t end his career above both wilt and magic just not yet
@ThisisASportsJungle I think you need to consider his impact on the sport overall and the revolution he has done in the game in terms of long range shooting. A lot of ppl are following nba now because of him, almost similar to Michael Jordan impact. In addition to his team dominance in the last decade.
Kevin Garnett and other famous athletes confirmed that Lebron is on that "new juice"!
😭😭
I mean good video but how tf do you not have Steph curry here? Like that makes zero sense to me ngl he has to be over wilt and magic
@@BrevinJones8346 well first thanks bro lol. And curry was definitely amongst the last to be left off. Wilt was my 10th and wilt was a slightly better scorer than Steph, and was a million times better on defense, has better accolades (although I’m not too high on accolades) and imo has a little better longevity (when factoring the era) curry is the better playoff and finals performer forsure but imo that’s all he has on wilt career wise. And I’m sure magic Johnson would be the other guy you replace him for but I just think for everything that matters in a career magic has over curry. A better playoff and finals performer, better big game player, better playmaker, defender. Their primes are 50-50 in terms of who’s better and longevity is also pretty 50-50 so you can forsure argue curry over magic but I definitely disagree 💯
@ThisisASportsJungle I respect your decision but come on wilt was playing against plumbers and we don't actually know about his 100 point game
@@ThisisASportsJungleplus he couldn't beat bill
@@DanielGandia-yp1ci nah bro wilt matched up against legendary bigs. Nate Thurmond, Willis Reed, bill Russell, etc. When you factor in how many great bigs there were back then and how they only had 12-14 teams throughout his career means he was matched up against legendary big men more than most other centers. But I respect your opinion
@ThisisASportsJungle I thank you for actually being chill cause some other people aren't chill also I respect your opinion too but I still think you did some wrong things here as you put magic instead if curry. Magic had git drafted on a great squad and won a ring his first year because of that team (yes ik he played center for Kareem) but there were more stars on that team aswell while curry had to fight for the championships a bit more and wasn't drafted on a good enough squad to make the finals alot
Michael Jordan is questionable... Not sure if deserves to be on this list 😂😂
😂😂
I understand your picks but i disagree with how you measure greatness. To me your list is the best players of all time but I think the greatest of all time is different. Like to me lebron is probably the best basketball. But mj is greater. More legendary more iconic therfore he is higher all time. With this logic my top 5 greatest all time is:
1: MJ
2: Kobe
3: Bron
4: Steph
5: Kareem
Nah bro I tried to shy away from letting the “best” be the ultimate deciding factor. I mainly tried to make it about career but I can see where you get that since a lot of this list is measured by evaluating these guys impact wise and less about accomplishments but I tried to factor in longevity and playoff performance a ton
Um I like your 10 but where was Doc J?
Thanks bro and Doc J is awesome but I just couldn’t put him above the 10 I already have. He’d definitely be in the top 20 tho
