I belong to a watch group on facebook and I posted a message as soon as I received email notification that they were in stock. They were gone in less than an hour. Interesting that this particular piece has become such a hit.

Timex has released a couple of different Snoopy Marlin watches. They seemed to hit on something in the watch community that other brands would love to have happen, people going crazy
I own a Q Timex (Pepsi) and a Q Timex GMT (Batman). Both have a problem with the crown and movement. When I push in the crown, after taking advantage of the hacking feature and having set the time precisely, the minute hand jumps, either forward or backward, by maybe as much as two minutes. This makes setting a reliable time very difficult. Actually almost impossible. I am not alone in this. While no TH-cam video review of the watches seems to mention this, I have read the same complaint in other online reviews and comments. These are beautiful pieces, but setting the time on them is maddening.

@@LastWatch well, the original I purchased is not of the diver-style of the reissue, so interesting, actually; the movement in mine ticks 3x/sec, so it has a pseudo-mechanical sweep to it, the dial is textured with what I can only describe as a golden wicker basket weave, and just has a very elegant presence on wrist. Much dressier than the reissue. So even though it's a Q and the lineage is quite obvious, they have different places in my collection.

Nice job. This watch seems expensive considering that Timex is know for budget inexpensive watches. I just purchased a beautifully modded Seiko SKX007 for the same price as the Q. More power to Timex releasing a winner.
My father got me this watch in 1981. And I did not like it. So I tossed it. Now it was cheaper back then. Now that I’m older. I just bought it to give to my dad.
Last Watch the basic case angles remind me of the Royal Oak, having said that I’m certain they don’t get their design from one and other, as for the Rolex gmt similarities it’s definitely no coincidence. We all know Rolex is the most copied watch in the world, but I still may buy one of these timex, it seems cool!

My old Timex watch brought me accurate quartz timing for 7 years until it starts to lose several minutes a day with a 2 to 3 hours loss in 2 to 4 days. I guess that's what the usable lifespan is of the Japanese quartz inside.
I think i may not. My Buler watch still clocks in accurate timing eventhough the Buler pre-dates the timex by 5 yrs+. That Buler was Swiss-owned until an HK-based company pirchased it

Bought mine the other week. Been wearing it instead of my Santos. It’s been a refreshing change, although for £160 it’s definitely overpriced. It’s a great design though and I’m enjoying having something a little lighter/less pricey on the wrist. Also still waiting for a Marlin Snoopy :)
Reminds me of my first mechanical timex I received as a Xmas present in 1971, a really nice and honest watchmaking effort. The nostalgia faded as soon as I saw that battery cell cover with the massive coin size indent on the back of that cheapo quartz thing.

TIMEX has always made Top Notch time pieces for less, I have always enjoyed their watches and will be looking out for that one , they real do Takes a Lickin and Keeps on Tickin.
Last Watch I do. I’m fortunate enough to have bought the the SARBO Line when it was attainable. I own the SARBO 17, 33, 35 & the 65 Cocktail Time. When the Presage Line came in it cluttered the watch in my humble opinion. Same 6R15 movement but with a busy dial. Again, in my humble opinion. In the new blue Alpinist it seems to me that Seiko cranked something out to appease the public. But what do I know. There’s probably a ton of folks that love that watch. My biggest gripe is why didn’t they have a push down / screw down on that God Forsaken Compass dial!!!!!! I suffer from CDO. YES CDO. even the letters have to be in conjunction. I’m sure all SARBO17 owners have the same gripes about the compass dial moving inadvertently!

Typical Timex and watches in general these days. The second hand does not align with the marks on the dial, but falls between. For the amount they are charging, you expect a more exact movement. I would bet that the hour and second hands do not zero either.

If you are refering to the watch in the video as a hommage to a particular rolex, than you probably mean the pepsi gmt and not the submariner... so better think twice next time before you write such stupid comments
