Great tutorial and pattern. Even though it's a "Clouser" I've wondered how a head weighted thunder creek would look, never thought of barbell eyes and and craft fur. Cool scissors, new "ray gun" bondic, lots of tips, thanks Tim for another excellent tutorial! 👍
Hey Tim! I may not use craft fur but that was a brilliant tye. Everything you do has effective purpose and great thought. I would like to build that head and gills with buck tail. But you never know I may go in Joyce’s craft room and sneak a little 😳🤣🤣🤣🤣👍 Thanks for all you do, I am so much better because of the things you present👍
Great technique on the head! I could see that working for other materials as well. Even if I'm not tying the specific pattern you post, I still usually pick up a technique tip from your videos. Thanks!
have made a lot of saltwater clousers in my time but a thunder creek called a clouser is new to me. but I guess if you turn it upside down and put a weed guard on it they do look very closely the same.
Tim -- Sometimes you use barbless flies and sometimes you don't. Under what circumstances do you believe that you need barbs? I used to use barbs, but that was so long ago (>40 years) that I don't remember any need for them; maybe I have forgotten some good purpose for barbs?
Wow I was the 200th like. Do I get a prize? Ha jk. I just started tying recently and your videos will definitely come in handy when I can get my hands on some more materials. Thanks for these!
Gonna go craft hunting next week to shoot some craft for natural craft fur, I find it much better than the usual farmed crafts.

Just getting into tying flies for bass and panfish, thanks for the video it was most helpful!

The local perch are going to meet this one soon! Thanks Tim.
I'm trusting you are going to downsize the hook a smidge for perch? 2/0 might be a tad overkill. ;)
Indeed! I'm thinking 4 or 6. I was also wondering if you could tie this on an offset Texas worm hook to make it a bit weedless.
That's a great idea. The hook would need to have a fairly long offset behind the eye.
Yes, I was thinking that might be a problem. I'll have to sort through my hook oddments and see what I have.
Answered my ? at the very end! Great fly and easy to tie!
Bondic EVO UV tool. Very cool!
I just bought those fiskars scissors they really really do help
That delivery...I can't stop laughing..
Thanks, great tying
Hello! Could you make a pike streamer tutorial in the future? I have not seen one from you yet 😀 Keep up the good work, you helped me a lot!
Nothing worse than a cold craft! P.S. another awesome fly!
Haha, ime sure that wild crafts really need that warm under fur

Nice.

Anyone else notice this is the first time Tim didn’t crimp the barb
Crafts get cold as well you know! They need the underfur to stay warm!
Yes but I prefer the ones harvested in Summer when the underfur is much thinner and easier to comb out!
Jerry Plaaten 😂
This is almost a Thunder Creek Clouser.
I know, right.
This isn't a closer it's a thunder creek
In hind sight, I really should have titled the video "Thunder Creek Clouser". It sounds better and probably better describes the fly.
Thunder Craft Clouser!
Lol that craft fur joke
Loved the craft fur joke, but crickets? Really? No faith.
