The reel spool minders and the gear wraps on the rods (because I hate storing them in the tubes- when I want to fish I just want to grab and go). This was a great little Tim
The small hair tie are great for keeping line from wrapping around the reel seat. Larkshead it onto the reel frame and then loop the other end over your rod butt. Especially good for euro nymphing/mono rigs
There's sincerely so much stuff you can find at the dollar store or dollar general. I worked at one not to long ago and all day I'd notice things I could use for fly tying. I mean, most fly tying materials don't start that way, they start as other items that people have an idea for with fly tying. So go out and experiment, people.
Outstanding video. More of these please. I use a 4” rubber coated twist tie like you were showing for my drop-shot set ups when walking/transporting my rod. The drop shot lead likes to wrap around my rod/rod handle. The twist tie hold it in place till I’m ready to fish
These cheap little "hacks" are what i live for! I'm always in the dollarstore trying to repurpose things! Please do more tip videos like this if you have more tips!
What no Sally Hansen? Not joking either. Clear plus a bunch of other colors for bead heads. I also have used electrical tape for the shell casing on copper John's. Tooth pics as well. I use them to apply superglue instead of messing up my bodkin.

Great video. Love these variety videos! Really compliments your tying videos. Happy Holidays!
Merry Christmas Tim and Joan, you are absolutely brilliant 😉☕️☕️
Nice video! I use hair clips (large size) to hold my rod sections together. They work very well.

Dude- that spool tender thing for tippet is JUST what I need. I hate the manufacturer cheap, small elastic bands.

I didn't think of the hair tie thing for the reel. Need to make a trip to Daiso.
