    Will there be any changes to the procedure if active dry yeast is used? It's the only kind available that's sold in retail.

      Use same amount of yeast for active dry and instant dry yeast. The difference is you need to activate the active dry yeast first in water with a little sugar. Wait for 15 minutes or until the yeast bubbles up before using. Use the amount of water used in the recipe to activate the yeast. Add 2 tsp. sugar from the recipe to hasten the activation.

    Maayung adlaw Chef Rose pwede nagtanong ulit. Sa 2tbsp yeast 30minutes rest after masa. Ilang minutes namn ang rest pagkatapos maglagay sa dahon bago lutuin? Sa akin kase 1tbsp yeast lang abot ng 2½hrs bago lutuin minsan malambit minsan matigas hndi ko maperfect. Ok na ang timpla sa pagpa alsa ako sablay. Salamat ulit po.

      Pa alsa mo 30 minutes after mixing. Tapos lagay mo sa dahon ang saging then alsa mo ulit for 30 -45 minutes before baking. Kung matigas, it means kulang sa alsa. Kung medyo malamig ang panahon, mas matagal ang pa alsa. Gamit ko 2 tbsp. yeast para mas madaling umalsa. Yung 1 tbsp. yeast okay din naman mas matagal lang kaya aabot nang 2.5 hours.

    How long is the shelf life for pan bisaya? The dough was wetter than yours in the video. I used two cups of water to bring the dough together but didn't use extra bread flour. Should I have added more flour?

      The dough does not keep more than 2 days because of the coconut. You can add extra flour if you want to be able to make a nicer shape. Otherwise, as long as you can form it, it is okay. Sometimes the dough is more wet because of the coconut.

      You can but I have never tried it. This is a very dense bread.

      I use La Germania electric oven - European series. It comes only in one size. Sorry I don’t have the measurement but it is bigger than the usual oven.

      You can try using dessciated coconut but you need to hydrate it with warm water first.
