@junparada5118 mine lasted 3 weeks. Put it in an air tight container. You can also put it in the fridge and just reheat in the microwave for 15 seconds
I cook but one thing I don't do is bake. Never tried even once. Piyaya, Hopia, Moscovado and Ube are you kidding me. All my favorite snack in one. Moscovad mixed with rice. Ube cream just waters my mouth. Growing up in Iloilo, I have to get Piyaya from Bacolod despite Iloilo has Piyaya too. The difference is the Sesame seeds. The aroma of the seeds makes a big difference when eating. It looks simple, but I give all the respects to you.
When I buy piaya, I choose the ones with the fillings that come out 😂🤭... I love it especially when the filling is a little bit burnt coz it's crunchy...😋 Thanks for sharing Chef Rose...will try this soon 💕 😊
Hi chef rose i havent seen this video yet.this piyaya ube is my fave that i always pick in the bread lanes .thanks for sharing this recipe that i will try .once i get it im not going to buy anymore Take care always chef🌹.
Hi chef, thank you so much for the recipe. Planning to make these as a treat to my future guests at home. How should we store it in order to retain the texture? Pansin ko pong kumukunat siya the next day. Should we have it fully sealed po or okay lang sya ilagay sa ordinary container with a lid? Planning to put it in a fully sealed ziplock pouch po pero baka po yun po yung magpapakunat sa kanya.
Hello Chef, i would to ask what will i used if DLA Ube filling phase out na for making Piyaya ube filling? I hope you could reply. Thanks and God bless.
Piyayas have a shelf like of about 7-10 days only. Make sure that you cook, cool and store properly. Wrap in sealed plastic. Store in a cool, dry place.
@@ChefRoseofCaroandMarieCebu Ok chef. How about storing the piyayas in the fridge then microwave it before eating, will the piyayas last longer than 10 days? And does storing in the fridge affect the piyaya's quality?
The dough will be tougher if you use all purpose instead of cake flour for the oil dough. Yes the ingredients of this dough is very similar to that of hopia but the proportions are very different.
Thank you so much chef . :) U help me Lot.. Lahat po nf questions sa icp ko nasagot nyo n po rito sa comment section sa pmmgitan ng inyong pagreply. :)
Majority of my followers are still using the cups method. I used to have some recipes in metric but I ended up with so many messages on how to convert them to cups. So for now, I am still using the cups method. Putting two kinds of measurements in my recipes will also further confuse some of them. I do use the metric system in my kitchen because it is more accurate but it will take time to convince people to change. In time, we will gradually shift to the metric system. Until then, please bear with me. Thank you!
Always love making your recipes. Clear instructions!!!
Thanks so much 😊

Hello Chef, i would to ask what will i used if DLA Ube filling phase out na for making Piyaya ube filling? I hope you could reply. Thanks and God bless.
Wala na. You can use ube paste that we sell in the store by kilo. Cheaper siya.
Chef Rose, I tried making ube piyaya using ube paste but it come out not soft ang filling, can i add lard or oil ?
Yes you can. Or add a little water to it.
@@ChefRoseofCaroandMarieCebu ok. Thank you Chef Rose. God bless.

Thank you po….hope you will feature also the hopia recipe
No salt needed po?
No need but you can add if you want to.

Ilang araw po tinatagal ng piyaya bago masira chef?
3-4 days
Chef, pila ka days shelf life sa piaya? Can you recommend a preservative just to extend the shelf life? Daghan salamat chef
About 3 - 4 days. You can use potassium sorbate and you can store it for a week or so. Piyaya does not really keep for a long time.
@@ChefRoseofCaroandMarieCebu daghang salamat chef
Pwede po ba gamitin is jarred ube halaya?
Yes you can.

chef magkano bintahan nitu?thanks po
Sorry wala po akong costing.
Is this still considered plantbased?
I believe so since it has no red meat, poultry, fish, eggs and dairy products.
What is the price if I going to sell piyaya
Sorry Sir but I did not make a costing for this recipe.
Iyon po bang UBE Filling nyo ay isinama sa Muscovado Filling? Hindi po kasi naipakita sa video nyo... Thanks po
Ready made ube filling po yon. Same as the one you use for hopia.
Shortening and Lard what's the difference? Can I use lard?
Shortening and vegetable lard are the same. Only pork lard is different.
