      I don't know if you'll see this or have time to comment/speak to it...but I find myself in a place where my business, what makes me money is something I simply don't enjoy and at times truly hate and find it sucking the energy/life from my soul. So, how does one transition to "monetizing" a passion, something that actually edifies and interests you? Appreciate your insights & content. Happy for you ✌️🤙

I'll let you know. Om&Prem Io

      The most painful point, because it's so true of me, is trying to learn everything before starting. I am the quintessential paralysis-by-analysis guy. But that is just my ego fearing actualizing my true potential. I've watched so many p.d. gurus say what you are saying, but somehow your personality and energy help me take it from my head to my heart. Thank you so much for sharing and sharing so often. Your videos are my new morning vitamin!

    Sorelle, I've seen those comments too, but I think most are just tongue in cheek and not directed at you. It helps to be born into a rich family and who wouldn't want a nice fat trust fund? I've seen some rich kids grow up to build on that wealth. I've seen just as many appreciate nothing and they are usually the ones to crash and burn, destroying in a few short years what took their families decades to build. As for the sugar daddy comments. It's fun to joke about, but we all know their money will always be theirs and whatever they throw your way will have to be 'earned' in some yucky ways. Creating your own wealth is hard work, but far more satisfying than being born into it or marrying it. You already know that feeling. Most of the rest of us are here to learn from you so that we too can experience that for ourselves eventually.

    I'm someone who cannot make a decision/put myself out there because I'm always assessing risks...constantly...all I kept thinking about was how it would go wrong. How I would fail. I do glamping trips a lot and I use it as a time to reflect. In my most recent trip I thought of 'where to put my energy next' and I left feeling unsure. I came home, found out my photography role model, Sorelle starting a finance channel...so I was like ok cool lets check it...and thats it. Since then all I could think about is "crap why am I wasting time..yes I've got a lot holding me back but the worst is my mindset!" Now I am more afraid of not trying at all than failing itself. Since then watching your videos I have been thinking about investments + monetizing my skills/qualifications etc :) so thank you Sorelle.

    LOVE this message! I started from nothing and have tried countless businesses that didn't work out, but they led me to my dream business. Every bit of the journey has been worth getting to this point. I think it's funny how people assume that success was due to someone helping us get started or being "lucky" because that didn't happen for me. I know it doesn't happen that way for most. To achieve any amount of success, you have to work for it. It doesn't just happen by chance.

    • @Abundantiaco
      @Abundantiaco  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It definitely takes work. But I also think it's funny especially how so many people think women can't make it without the help of a partner/man/family/parents. I know men get this too, but it seems to be more pronounced when it's directed at women. Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe that's just how I perceive it.

    • @erintannehill
      @erintannehill 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Abundantiaco I can see how you'd perceive it that way. I've always been around entreprenuers. My dad and mother-in-law have always had their own businesses, so things weren't as obvious to me when I started my business. However, when my husband started his own business, I could see the shift in how people thought of his business compared to mine. I don't think people do it intentionally, but it does hurt when they just assume one will be more successful than the other. Why does it matter as long as the business owner is happy with their own amount of success?

I still struggle with this mindset, even though with my husband we own 2 properties and want to expand, but EVERY DAY I feel the impact of this mentality. Occasionally I get so mad with my parents for being so narrow minded and negative. Now I know that the most important things one can give their children are the right mindset and right values.

    The worst point, as in the the most scary to me, is 6:19 - start then learn. I like, (dare say Need), to know what the destination is before I change my direction. When I have to invest in an unknown variable it sets off alarm bells, one is What's Wrong with what I have?, and the other is Who is taking advantage of me now? It is terrifying to think that I will start off some new way and end up floundering or failing altogether.
    ....perhaps I have to include a failure as a potential destiny... ...or focus on the little success and 'try again' .... I kind of blanked out when you were explaining the solution to that mental block. I'll go see it again.

    Hi Sorelle, I recently found your channel and have watched almost every single one now! I'm definitely someone who previously held the mindset of "all rich people are evil and I never want to have any part of that." Your channel has helped me shed a lot of these mental limitations I was imposing on myself so am very grateful for this channel! I'm only 22 but am now actually really excited to enter the world and be creative about how I earn an income to live a life of freedom!
    One thing I would like to add is that although I agree the comments you shared are dismissive from a place of ignorance, I feel some others I have seen are justifiably acknowledging that you have had unacknowledged privileges where others have had barriers to overcome to reach the same starting point you define as "nothing". For example, you being white and conventionally attractive or without the same oppressive cultural/ gender/ family expectations others may face (e.g. having to raise/ earn for siblings too). I saw a comment from someone from India talking about how their rupee is worth much less so they can't just "travel to cheaper countries."
    I totally understand the sentiment of "no excuses" as these internalised mind games often only inhibit us and I know that you can obviously only speak from your own experience. I don't want to make further assumptions about you and I don't doubt you also had plenty of barriers to overcome, however, I feel it would be valuable for you to acknowledge your cis, white australian, able-bodied etc. privilege more and perhaps feature other people from marginalised communities onto your page to have more representation? Just so that your viewers that don't look like you can believe it's possible for us too.
    Just a thought that I feel could really help your channel which I love! Thanks :-)

    I loved what you said about "just starting" and "start then learn".
    I did that with my channel three years ago and then a month ago started digital marketing for a friend's small business.
    I haven't had a lot time for my channel until recently but started it back when I did so I could start learning. It's still really small for that reason but now with more time I'm hoping it'll grow.
    I'm already seeing positive results in my friend's business and someday want to do freelance work.
    I'm really enjoying learning new skills and the challenge of becoming more creative.
    Thank you so much for your encouraging words.

    A few days ago, for an unknown reason, I had a strong urge to leave a comment on your video telling you how great I think you are. I blame it on reading Demian at an impressionable age, but I always think about the connections the universe makes for us. Regretfully, I didn't post my comments, wanting to avoid the toxic backlash of saying anything positive on the Internet. This video is very apropos of my lack of action and its reasoning. You are doing a great job. You put in a lot of effort, it shows, and it's very helpful to some people. I'm glad you are here.

    Sorelle, I've been following you for years. Your story, essence, vulnerability, and message have always somehow made me feel like I wasn't alone. Your perspective is a light for many, your outlet is a gift to this world, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU.
    .
    The most painful part of this video was the hiring out process and focusing on your zone of genius. I'm currently in the process of building/launching a course teaching women how to grow their personal brand by learning makeup techniques that are personalized and customized for them. My struggle is trying to do everything. Between social, youtube, 1:1 consulting, business the course, launching strategies, marketing, and oh, yeah... " try to find balance."
    .
    I'm curious as to what routine or ritual do you use to prioritize the workday/week/month?
    .
    How do you break down working on both channels, your courses, your newsletter, your content copy? I'd love more insight on the backend process of your business or how you came up with what worked best for you. You have some older videos on this concept, however, I feel like it was during your more nomadic lifestyle, and I'm sure you've refined it since then.
    .
    Thank you again for everything you and your husband do,
    Naomi

    • @Abundantiaco
      @Abundantiaco  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hi Naomi! On your question about rituals, I'm mostly very habitual about writing in my journals every day. I have a diary, and then a bullet journal that helps me plan things for the most part. I tend to find that when something is written down in ink on paper, I'm more likely to get it done. That's the thing that's helped me more than anything. Also now having an assistant helps, but I know that's not viable for everyone.

      Is it okay if I toss an idea your way? You are currently building another business right now with Sorelle Amore Fiance, I WOULD LOVE to see the BTS of your workday. (If it aligns with your goals of course.)

      Does anyone else who is reading this feel the same way? LIKE this comment and let's inspire her to do so :)

      The comments don't really bother me.
