Too add, I took detailed HANDWRITEN notes on every competency letter, 11 pages on lined paper in total. 2 days before I made about 20 or so flashcards with key terms because im not a good test taker either and suffer from anxiety & second guessing myself. There were actually some tough questions that really make you think. I don't think I passed by much honestly, but I was more confident in my studies which gave me the upper hand. I used every second of the test window. I tested with Pearson and you are able to flag questions to come back to them for better time management. I reference my same HANDWRITTEN notes to this day as an RBT. Good luck to everyone, you definitely are able to pass the first time! Thank you again Maricio !!!

Just completed collection of 40 hr training jammed into a very short time. My brained felt like mush when done. Found your videos and it all seems so much clearer now. Also liked Autism Jargon of the Day on TH-cam while involved in the training! Thanks a bunch!
SAME! the schedule I had to do for work for doing that course was completely unmanageable for me. Like multiple days of starting studying at 9 am and finishing at midnight, but only getting paid for the 40 hours of time, all while feeling like I couldn't retain half the info because it was too much too fast. I graduated with a BA in Psych with honors, going to school full time, while working at least 30 hours a week, its not like I can't handle a massive workload, but this process has been something else.

Let me tell you Mauricio, i took the exam at home and believe me it was a unique EXPERIENCE for me and i finished the exam during my first 30 min but i have to tell you that i have stufied for 4 months and more focused the month before but I took advantage of the 40 hours course and lots of materials as well as all of each of your GREAT GREAT videos, that helped me a lot. Just passed my exam today and your last few videos were the perfect last minute refresher as I was getting ready! I went an tested in person, the site too so many precautions to make sure everything was sanitized and everyone was distanced from each other!

I feel like these videos are the perfect length to play in the background while you're getting ready and driving to the testing site. It's nothing new that you're learning, you should know all this already, but this is a great compact refresher just to make those points in your memory click! Good luck on your test :)

What an ordeal that was to set up the proctored exam!

These have been so helpful! I feel like the time constraints placed on the training process at my new work are so tight that finishing the 40 hour course and then immediately doing competency assessments and the RBT exam, all within 2 weeks, has made me feel like I am taking in info so fast that I cant actually learn it properly because there is too much for the time frame. These have been an AWESOME recap with great examples to help visualize/actualize what the procedures may look like and mean in practice. Thank you so much!
Same here! Just did my 40hr course and now the company is wanting me to go ahead and schedule my exam but I need to do the competency exam first.. I’m feeling very stressed and don’t know what to expect for the competency hoping these videos will help with that too??
@@latashaseale3454 YES! They will! I had the same thing, it was like boom, boom, boom with the scheduling. These videos are a lifesaver and the terminology he uses is more up to date than what was in my training course. Also he offers a lot of examples to put the terms into context which I found to be very helpful for remembering when and how to use the info.

Very informative. My test shut down on me technical problems they ended up refunding me with a voucher to take the test again and not counting it towards the amount of times I can take the test. Going to try again before the end of the month. Having technical issues sure doesn't help test anxiety. Hopefully I'll pass it the first time

My RBT was online proctored because the testing sites are closed in my area. What an ordeal that was to set up the proctored exam!

@@puchistaya Thank you! Many questions are based on scenarios, like ABA RocKs. Know the basic concepts. I listened to Mauricio's videos over and over and did ABA Rocks mock exams a few times. Good luck!

@@puchistaya Online at home. It was a proctored exam (monitored). The process to take it at home is on the BACB website.
@@puchistaya I also used Quizlets to study and the RELIAS learning modules and exams. ABA Made Easy was the best for my retention and understanding.

I was shocked I failed again, I don't know how much more I can study. I've watched every video that you have made now too, and I feel like I understand everything. I just keep failing. I wish I could help you but clearly I'm not getting it. lol Actually it's also the time thing for me, the time stresses me out, when the 30 min timer pops up I freak out and that's when I go down hill. These have been so helpful! I feel like the time constraints placed on the training process at my new work are so tight that finishing the 40 hour course and then immediately doing competency assessments and the RBT exam, all within 2 weeks, has made me feel like I am taking in info so fast that I cant actually learn it properly because there is too much for the time frame. These have been an AWESOME recap with great examples to help visualize/actualize what the procedures may look like and mean in practice. Thank you so much!
Same here! Just did my 40hr course and now the company is wanting me to go ahead and schedule my exam but I need to do the competency exam first.. I’m feeling very stressed and don’t know what to expect for the competency hoping these videos will help with that too??
@@latashaseale3454 YES! They will! I had the same thing, it was like boom, boom, boom with the scheduling. These videos are a lifesaver and the terminology he uses is more up to date than what was in my training course. Also he offers a lot of examples to put the terms into context which I found to be very helpful for remembering when and how to use the info.
I have my exam next month and i am very very afraid that how this exam looks like I'm giving it online but still stressed.But this video really helpful.Thankyou for making it easy for us to understand through examples 👏

Very informative. My test shut down on me technical problems they ended up refunding me with a voucher to take the test again and not counting it towards the amount of times I can take the test. Going to try again before the end of the month. Having technical issues sure doesn't help test anxiety. Hopefully I'll pass it the first time
