I just started on my own today & I have no clue what I'm doing... Like any job, when ure new, everything seems overwhelming. I don't feel comfortable w/ the apps, they function funny, the names of staff, children, & locations. I just recently finished the 40 hrs & it was so too much. That when weekend hit, GMA got a hold of baby, & all I wanted to do was Nothing. When I should've been brushing up. I completely forgot I turned off all the alerts bc wow, my co. Stays busy. But my apps were acting weird, I felt like I was bugging my leads, & I was like wever I guess I'll just wing it. Bc my co worker said I should just focus on pairing anyways, at first. Prob not the greatest idea to listen to them.. Even have some that finished the course w/ me. Trying super hard... Like plz don't act like u know everything in the same time I've learned stuff. Bc u def don't. Like they've learned the ends & outs of these kids already? I did not ask ..especially you. I'm trying to ask ppl who actually Know & not just talking out their arse. Anyways, I really winged it. Took hardly anything down. I've noticed ppl there don't always do anyways. Not saying that's a good thing. But at least I played w/ the kiddos & did wever learning tactics in their packages. I really should be sleeping right now tho. Bc sleep, work, eat, cuddle wif baby, wake up, repeat. Sigh

Thank you for this consise review. Feeling much more confident about my impending competency assement. You are an excellent teacher. And gorgeous, too. There I said it.
I've been an RBT for a year now and I am up for renewal. Like you said everyone gets tripped up on discontinuous measurement (myself included). We started my renewal competency Monday and I blanked on this part, luckily, I have a mulligan as my BCBA didn't sign off on it yet. I sometimes get irrationally anxious when it comes to these things. I know the material but I get tripped up so videos like this definitely help me retain what I have learned as sometimes auditory is not my best method of learning but a combination of written and visual learning. I do the rest of the renewal competency tomorrow so wish me luck!
I was so nervous for my competency assessment, and you helped me pass the first time! I watched this video twice a day for a week. Your examples are so helpful. Kind of wish you would do some of the examples played out in other videos (had to look some examples up). But otherwise fantastic information! Thank you 🎉
i've watched this a few times, my assessment is in 8 hours haha but i'm really excited and a lot less nervous now that im really able to take notes and understand these terms more. I've been a behavior technician for almost a year so I'm excited to get my RBT soon!
@@moderndayaba It went great! I passed it was very chill. I will be checking out more of your videos as my BCBA/observer said she will provide me with more resources in understanding DTT more. So definitely going to pay closer attention and watch some more from you :)
Thank you SO MUCH for creating this precious study guide and providing examples. I will say that the music is distracting. Usually, when I read comments of people who complain about the music, I suggest that they turn off the sound. So of course, I tried to do that, but I really needed to hear your explanation, and that made the video hard to endure despite the excellent information. I cannot explain why the sound affected me the way it did. Please do not take this as a criticism. Just my two cents.
