- Supermoto racing 2019. This is my Vlog from the Supermoto USA Round 5 event. I race in Open amateur, Open Asphalt and Vet 30+ classes. I also include footage from the Pro Supermoto, Open expert and Beginner only classes.
I race on a 2019 Husqvarna FS450.
Cameras used are GoPro Hero 7 and Panasonic GH5.

I've got a like new 2008 Honda XR650L I don't ride anymore because all land nowadays is POSTED NO TRESPASSING and riding it on the highway is boring.
This looks killer and I live by NOLA Motorsports Track. Going to see if its possible to mod it enough for this.

He is from ama supermoto. The class is way more expert than club racing. i raced in one ama event in beginer and it was so fast!

Racing you always hear someone behind you if they're pressuring...some riders just can't help themselves from looking. I was always coached to never look behind you, always race what's in front of you. MX/SX could be different though as I've never raced supermoto, but will for the first time next summer. Hip fucking hooray! Nice vid btw.

Hey Mike, I appreciate you mentioning my son Vincent at the top of your race coverage on how insane the time difference was between him coming in second behind Gage. It may have been noteworthy to your vlog coverage that the last time Vincent had raced a Supermoto, Gage was competing on 60's. Considering that was his first race back in over 10 years on a 12 yr old race bike coming in 2nd behind the national champ against a field that included many top pros in my book is kinda insane itself. But hey I guess I'm kinda biased.

Wasn't cheap for me. '06 KTM 560SMR couldn't handle my riding style! I basically disinigreged the main berrings if I rode it too hard, because KTM decided to use a 450 crank in a 565.5cc motor and the torque would flex the crank like a body builder doing bench presses. It would eat the needle berrings to shit. Ride it like a warrior and you're due for a rebuild. Screw you KTM, I genereally liked and backed your products until I got that designed lemon. It was great while it lasted.... rebuild and repeat...

"it's fun it's cheap and..." Is it cheap though? I can see someone with talent ruining a back tire every race and quality rubber aint cheap....well compared to other forms of racing I am sure it is much less costly but I dont know if it qualifies as "cheap" ....surfing is cheap just for an example for comparison but what if you have a 250 dollar tire and fuel bill every race not counting all the other expenses? could easily be a 20k year habit racing every week
