I was a Heavy Equipment operator for a Big Demolition company in Dallas Texas! For many years we had to separate the Brick/concrete/and the wood the Landfill wouldn’t take mixed materials!
That was a 50-60 year old block house. With a chrisp roof line. Sure, it would have taken a lot of money, but it would have looked better than the cheaply built crap in the background. I enjoyed this video.
Yeah, a LOT of money. Those roof boards, for example, were really weathered, old and worn. I agree, though, that the house had a waaay more character than those gerbil boxes in the background. The lumber in those roof joists, though... sigh. Can't get quality wood like that anymore. It's all cheap, fast-growing pine. Unfortunately, it's more cost-efficient these days to erect huge multi-tenant cardboard rodent houses. I weep for the future.
The metal scrap yard I take metal to has a big ball of fencing that he uses to sweep the deck so gets all the little stuff people don't throw far enough. They don't have an electro magnet
Do you guys not keep cinderblock separate from the waste? That what we do otherwise the waste disposal fee would be huge. Cinderblock and concrete can get recycled/processed down to gravel. Curious your thoughts?
You know the grabber on that machine kind of looks like a monster mouth you know I haven't realized that it kind of looks cool seeing its mouth open and open tearing the house down with its teeth and stuff yeah it's kind of cool watching it but I still feel bad for the house getting tore down a homeless family could have lived in that or maybe some memories inside of that house what's my psychopaths or nice lovely family or something I don't know😅 yeah that's pretty sad though I mean if I was homeless I was living in that house 😔
This house reminds me of the punk house I lived in back in the 80’s, except the punk house was much nicer than this place! I’m sorry, why does this place even need a front door??? 😂

Cinder block home... horrible R value. So a person studs out the interior walls and insulates. That reduce the foot print while enjoying the cost of two walls.
Porque no la remodelaron deadentro porque todo loseafuera estaba bonito la chemines las ventanas las puertas todo estaba bien nomás arreglarla deadentro iel garaje nopiensan las cosas yo laubiera areglado
exactly to bring it up to code would not be worth it it would cost more than what the house is worth you would not get back only half of what you put into it which means you would loose a lot of money unfortunately no one is going to spend a fortune on it and give it away@thardyryll

It’s still like that. Everything has to be separated so it can be taken to the recycling depot.
These machines are incredibly powerful, and they seem almost alive the way they move around.
No rebar or grout in any of that block!!!! Great video!
I love the open floor plan of this home!
But, where are the abandoned tricycles?
What’s replacing this house, Brian?
What a great video I enjoy watching your videos I like your videos a lot keep making great videos
Lovely "crunch" video.

Open air home love it
Beyond repair
Great video. Did the cinder block and slab get recycled? Nice on bringing everything into one pile
The way that place crumbled looked like a hard enough sneeze inside could have blown the walls out.
are these demos usually for redevelopment?
Yes, usually, but as of today, it's still just an empty field.
Do you recycle any of the material...metal, concrete for example or is it not cost effective?
Did that house have solid concrete floors in it with the ductwork in the concrete floor!
Now wait a minute! That house is in move in condition! look at it, it has free AC and fun holes everywhere!
Lol
“Fun holes” 🤔
Seriously though, I love how all the structural engineers come out of the woodwork in the comment sections of demo videos.
That's exactly what he did. He moved right in. Also, with his pet caterpillar.😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is what all America is going to look like soon .
Was there no asbestos in this home?
i'm guessing the house had structural issues? And since you mentioned smell, the sewer/drain system malfunctioned?
otherwise, good demo~
Plot couldn't possibly be worth more with a different structure on it. That would never be sufficient reason...
Seeing those newer-looking apartment/condos in the background, it's possible the owners bought out the property for an expansion.
Likely stinks from squatters urinating, defecating and fornicating. Whoops, I mean unhoused disadvantaged and marginalized pure souled people.
I like your Dinosaur where did you get it LOL

I mean I would live in the house I'm not lying
Where is this home at?
Looks like zero wall insulation!
man that looks like fun!!!!! would live to have a machine and just do demo for $$$.
'For sale, solid cinder block house, open plan, natural solar lighting, won't last long'.......
Where was this house located?
what state r u in ky wants to know like your videos
House location is Spokane, Wash.
@@thardyryll thanks i dint no u were that far.enjoy your videos
What are they building in in its place? The house could have been refurbed but it’s still dated.
The renovation to bring it up to code is more than the finished house could be s9ld for.

So the boyfriend can hear the husband coming home and book it out the back!

The entire house would probably fit in one dumpster!
you probably get this a lot but i'm waiting for the unseen homeless family who repurposed the place come out " hey what the fuck you doing".
Have a Beer
Re; The interiors. Some people have NO taste, or concern.
Decent gust of wind would hav saved you fuel !!
Unless this house was in a flood it could have been restored . Why would anybody leave a house in that condition
10-4
Not much strength in a cinder block constructed house !
👌🎞🚧⛏️👍
Oh no ya broke your thumb. How did that happen.
Ooops wrong address
operator jerky on the controls not very smooth
It's his first day....
You should show how to do it on your channel
Well at least you dont care about your bucket being abused like some...
What a waste 😢
Dfv
1/2 way through video.. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE THE THUMB?.???😮😢
Former meth lab?
Boo 😵
Bad smell -- house used for a criminal purpose or the former home of an animal hoarder?
Boring
Demolish a perfectly good house that could be renovated and given to a homeless family. Only humanity could be so cruel doing something this heartless
So, the house would have to be purchased from its owner, and then renovated at a cost greater than building new? Brilliant.
