If it was cold, then the sun goes down at like 6 ish.. so yeah, you’re not asleep and noise ordinances are generally until like 9 or 10 or 11 depending
Awesome job. I followed your lead on this and built an 8’x12 one just like it. I particularly like the roof style. It saves on lots of materials as opposed to the gable style which would require much more time, materials and $$ money $$. It accomplishes the exact same thing, shedding water off the top and for a lot less in the way of time and cost. Thank you so much for sharing this , I’m sure you have helped a lot of people including myself. Anthony G. Toms River NJ
I’m glad to hear it! And I agree completely, if I could have gone bigger in my space I would have too! I’ve already outgrown it. Growing up, my step dad was in the military so we lived on mcquire AFB and later Burlington, NJ. Find my page on Facebook and message me a few pictures, I’ll post them up there. Thanks for sharing Anthony!

Hello, thank you for the helpful video! Looking at doing something like this for my church and would love if you could share a building plan/material list. What you did is the exact type of thing we’re looking to build. Thank you!
hello from the UK, Love this easy shed build would love the plans for it . I am going to hit that big red button and look forward to watching more of your videos Thanks for sharing
I'd be concerned about the flooring edge exposed on the 3 taller sides where the sheathing was shorter than the front. Plus without those 3 sides being fastened to the rim joist, lateral stability has to rely on just the fasteners in the studs. But I guess it's easy to be a critic being a spectator in the cheap seats. Your video was inspirational. Now I need to get to work and build my own.
Haha you said it better than I could have. The sill plates were fastened into the joists. I agree about the sub floor being exposed, but with this not being a heated space, and the roof over hang, I’m not too worried about it for now, once I paint it, I may go in and add some more trim and caulking, thanks for the comment Steve!
Thank you for the posting, You did an outstanding job. I'm greatly inspired by your build. Looking forward to starting and building one that I so desperately need.....Once again, great work.....Thank you
Thanks for sharing this video. I really liked the design of this storage shed and planning to built an 8x8 ft shed that would fit in our backyard. Can you kindly share all the material required along with building plan as this would be our first time doing this kind of project. Thanks 😊
Hi, this is a great video, I am planning to build one by myself by following your plan. Would it be possible to share the material list with me, especially the roofing materials. Thanks.
Really helps if you have carpenter skills. You make building a shed look so easy. I only need to build a 6' wide x 2' depth x 6' height shed but I'm skeptical of my carpenter skills. I just need to buy a custom kit.
I never had any formal training, just learned over the years. If you are making something that shallow, I would suggest anchoring it to a building or something, that will not resist winds easily. I was worried about mine a little bit at first even but with it against the house, I should be ok.
I feel like that thing would blow over if the big bad wolf came!!! Overall its a very well built shed, juat where I live id need to secure it to the ground somehow
I guess it’s a good thing I don’t have any big bad wolves near me! Haha. I put mine against the house for that reason. We don’t get a ton or wind either. In our area, sheds can’t be attached to the ground, if you attach them, you get taxed as a permanent building. Typically why they’re on blocks. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks so much for posting. You gave me the perfect idea of how to build a 6’H x 4’W x 2’D storage shed on my deck. It’ll be a lot simpler than yours, and watching your design just made mine soooo much easier to make. But I was a bit disappointed…no stain glass windows 😉😂
Looks good. I know the door is most likely very lightweight, but wouldn't it still need a brace, to stop it sagging over time? Especially with only the two hinges? Also, did you add any ventilation? I can imagine it getting quite damp over the winter and causing mold issues inside?
Thank you! I put it on blocks and elevated off the ground in hopes to keep rot from happening. Also used pressure treated lumber for the joists and 4x4 runners underneath, might need to check local code for sheds as well.
Lucky you got to work in refreshing free AC.. in Florida it's so depressing to me to do work in the summer heat outdoors. I get what I can done but just get a overwhelmed depressed feeling w all the home repairs I need.
Our area cannot have a fixed foundation for a shed due to taxes. This is common in our climate to put on blocks, I’ve had no problems with any of my sheds on the property.
Haha, I have another shed that I pull My riding mower into. This one works perfect for my work supplies, just about the exact height and makes it easier to load and unload, plus the slope of the driveway made it a little higher too.
Nicely done. Build and video. How close to the house? Wondering how you paneled the outside of the back wall. Did you lose a window in the house? Access to electrical service?
Hello, about 2 feet from the house. We have window that is on our staircase inside (that we never use) so you can’t tell on the inside really. Electrical service is all remote read, but since this isn’t the permanent location, I wasn’t worried much anyway. We plan to move it in a year or 2.
My HOA is being a pain in my arse and not allowing the size of shed I want to build my own now to keep it below the fence line. Local companies want $3,500 for a simple 6'Hx5'Dx7'L flat top shed, I think that price is ridiculous! I'm going to attempt it on my own
Hey so I have a question about this so how many pieces of wood did you have to go through/buy? And what where the sizes of the wood. Thanks for your time.
Nope, also this is only a temporary location. The window is too small to be classified as a point of egress as well, there is a full door to access the basement. Thanks

Exactly! That’s all that it takes! Haha, thanks for the comment
Im gonna do it on lunch break, and i still have enough time to finish my lunch lol

This was a very satisfying build to watch! Great job.

Awesome video Thank you for sharing, awesome outcome. You have motivated me to start on mine after procrastinating for like 12 years.. Thanks again..
Thank you very much! I appreciate the view and the comment! Go start your shed this weekend now! Haha
I kept on watching hoping someone would bring you out a cup of tea or coffee. Great build man.

Phenomenal build, you are a craftsman, my dude, absolutely fantastic
Intrested in the plans !
Pretty cool. That's how I'm going to do mine.

Okay. I'm impressed. Thank you for making this time lapse video. It helps a lot. Good job.
This is the best build I seen on youtube, Would you mind giving me more info about this, I'm planning to build the same thing
Thanks man I really appreciate the kind words, I don’t have any plans yet, but if you have any questions I’d be more than happy to answer them
Solid shed, nice work.

Super basic. Love it. Thanks for the video bro.
Thanks for the comment Carlos, I appreciate it!
I like the overhang in the front. Keeps the water out and you won't get as wet being inside withe door open during rain.
That was the thinking behind it! Works pretty good, keeps the inside dry from splash back since I am not installing gutters on this.

AWESOME!!!
Nice work. Appreciate the video
Love the video, this is exactly what I need to build on the side of my house. Great Job. Can you send me the material list and plans, thanks
Any way you could share the plans ? Please I will appreciate.

Love this and would like to make something like it.
I would love a material list
Need to build one too for tools to go in
i WANT TO BUILD ONE 8X8 BUT INSULATE THE FLOOR WITH ROXUL ROCKWOOL AND USE 4X4 SKIDS WITH PATIO BLOCKS UNDER IT TO KEEP SKIDS OFF THE GROUND
That was awesome, what was the final cost of the project.??
Looks great. I’d like the plans is possible.

Thank you sir!
For English viewers, this is the Benny Hill show ‘ wooden shed build skit! 😂😃
sweet man! how long do you think that exposed wood will last before it starts to warp?
Could have used cedar, or treated it with sealer.
I’m not sure but the base is pressure treated and I ended up painting the whole shed after 6 months when it got warm
Nice work!
Thanks!
looks like you posted this a while ago but is it still possible to get the plan/materials list for this build?
