i think my favorite thing about your monster hunter videos is how they portray the monsters as the games do, like animals who have instincts and emotions and want to live and thrive. that's pretty much my favorite part of the series, if i'm being honest.
That game is one of the best first person shooters of the past, present, and possibly the future. Timesplitters (Future Perfect) was full of content and things to do, and I particularly love how it had a serious silliness to it...

Cannot wait for MHWorld. Got into the series late but was into it before I got any game copies. Shame the arts won't be returning. I am use to adept fighting dodge rolling through attacks. But looks like the environmental traps and layout can be played with to keep fights going your way. Love the vids NHC can't wait for the release so we get some more hilarious bloopers :D

The most memorable tail loss I have was when MHFU decided the top of a stone pillar was a good place to put a Los tail. It was the big pillar in Zone 4 of 'Forest and Hills/Verdant Hills', which they turned into a short platform in MHGen.

Yey! MH Shots are back! maybe not for long until MH World comes out, but still, love it! Also it would be a pain to have tails just washed away, more immersive and real but annoying. And the tailless Rathalos is back xD
its more of less reusing assets from an existing animation(its a revamp of the plate run episode) minimalism techniques (the zoom out minimalist animation scenes, this was learnt from the amazing world of Gumball) lots of strategic framing(cutting out the legs so that I dont have to do walk cycles) focusing on only 1 hunter that is only rigged properly(locke, he gets the most action, while the rest are almost minimal, esp pepper and thicc) using PHOTOGRAPHS for the "this is HD meta-joke within my series"(cause before this, all backgrounds were drawn directly in vector) for the backgrounds abusing of motiontweening for the action scenes but yeah, most of my animation technics are very optimized for speed-creating a episode for the MH series.
I don't think we will get destroyable cliffs in the game, but I think some folks will definitely attempt to test the physics of chopping the tail at the dam area and see if the water does wash it off....
+NCHProductions Realistically wouldn't the tail be too heavy for it to be washed off? Considering it has very thicc and massive scales on it and the muscle mass within the tail aren't exactly light either.
Funnily enough this kind of thing happened to me today. As I was hunting a Rathian I managed to mount her as it was flying away. It dropped me and I got hooked back with the hookshot thingy. Was pretty epic bringing her down to earth midway her escape.

Can confirm that I haven't had a monster part fall anywhere unreachable during the beta. There WAS a weird time Barroth scalp landed on the edge of a diablos sink pit but i was able to stop sliding and walk back up to carve before I went all the way down
U know, if your going to go into stuff like this, technically speaking, when you sever the tail of a monster it should fall over more often b/c of the lack of balance. And for monsters like rathalos, it either should not be able to fly or at least be able to turn considering that's what it looks like the tails designed for.
well, the video's ending sorta predicted the new Clutch Move thats going to be implemented into Iceborne heh....
