- Heres my take on the new tracking mechanic in MHWorld, Scout flies!
This will be my last MHWorld animation till we get more updates down the road. It was great working on them for the last 2.5weeks. can't believe I got 2 animations done within that span of time. Thanks for understanding and look forward for more awesome animations from my channel!

There's a joke I want to add but it can't fit the scenario, the hunter accidentally killing his scoutflies with a poison smokebomb....

I think scout flies were a smart choice for the larger, open world setting. Imagine just looking for the monster for 20 minutes of the hunt.
Yep, That's me i played the demo even with the scout flys that still happens and you only get 20 mins per hunt in the demo so ya iv timed out before even finding the monster...but it still let me get used to the world

Bro ive legit taken 30 minutes with the scout flies to find a monster I had found no tracks of prior, scout flies are either the most useful thing or are about as useful as the handler

This happened to me once, but it was with an anjanath and a rathian, they first fighted for a bit, and then just decided "truce" to kill me
Same, had to hide for a while to get Rathian's aggro away
same but no turf and it's just rathalos and rathian 💀
Now this episode is like the Simpsons, it predicted Zinogre, and it also predicted a Zinogre/Rathalos turf war

Yay, no more will we suffer sub-HD monster hunter animations. With new technology, we can now animate Monster Hunter at an eye-watering 1080p like never before! We can even see the individual brush strokes for the outlines now XD
I like the joke, keep it up. Maybe that's an idea for a scene, one of the hunters gets stunned by good graphics?
@NCH Did you use shots from Fellowship of the Ring? The scout fly betrayal scene reminded me of when they were hiding from the black rider under the embankment.
Sean nah, that shot had an elevated area right above the alcove they were hiding in
fairly certain the first panorama shot was a picture of the amazon river though
its just a photograph I took from google image search and ran some filters over it gave some editing so it dosent look like the actual photograph and just use that shot as much as I can.
All the scenes in that uses the same background, just zoomed in and skewed here and there.
This joke now happens haha

But yeah this could be a good PSA to not litter in Bukit Timah. No Zinogres or Rathaloses there but there are animals with acute sense of smell like boars that can track you based on the litter you throw

Thank you so much for using Falkkone's music! Been subbed to him for a really long time and have to say he's one of the most genuine creators on the internet. I can't tell you how often I've listened to his metal arrangements of my favorite monster hunter themes, and it makes me absolutely giddy to see his channel growing at the rate it's been. In hindsight, it makes perfect sense that you two would find each other, and my god that zinogre theme is wonderful.
Keep doing what you do, I love your videos! Especially the animation on the zinogre here when he's searching for the hunter hiding under the cloak; those were some buttery smooth frames my friend.
I wish Zinogre was in the game.

Ha! A real MH veteran goes after their SHADOWS (or dirt splashs) only!
Seriously though, I only ever use paintblls if I'm lazy, otherwise I'll follow the shadows. Can get a bit tricky though with monsters in cave areas when the go trough some weird tunnels just below the ceiling (looking at you, Khezu) and some just switching directions several times in flight, as I saw thanks to paintballs
3:35 GS block yeah!
I never understood why people dislike the GS block, I use it regularly as it can often save you when you can't get out of an attacks range in time. Or just to be reeaally sure. I'm always running an armorset with 'Guard' with my GS so I block like a lance without skills anyway :')
I never noticed this. With GS, sharpness is not a problem to me anyway
I forget to make paintballs. Due to the lack of time I spend farming for the mats. I've learned to adapt to using the Shadows and the splashes as well
Dein Alptraum a real veteran still uses paintballs go back to Generation 1 where the shadow will go left but then the monster is on the right side of the map
I will agree with that. Paintballs were never really introduced to me, due to my friend that was teaching me how to hunt just told me to look for the shadow and dirt beats. After that I found Psychic and perception [Always preferred trapping, over killing.] As for the GS blocking, I saw quite a few hunters that used GS block for those OH S*** moments. I'd take weapon degradation over insta-death hipcheck [F***ing pleasey]
Dein Alptram, back when I didn't have paintballs I tracked them with the shadows too. Plus, when you learn the monsters patterns you can easily predict where they may head to. To me, the scout flies is the easy and lazy way. I shall take on the no scout fly challenge.

If monsters could actually team up and beat the crap out of the hunter that'd actually be a pretty cool game mechanic. The monsters would have to be of a similar species for it to work of course, kinda like a Rathian and Rathalos teaming up to gank the hunter instead of just mildly ignoring each other like in previous installments.
Although if Brachydios or Zinogre come back we'd all probably get screwed...

I think that's a real thing now. A monster can monster can fight the opposing monster or join forces.
Actually this happened when I was hunting and fighting Rathalos at the treetop out of nowhere a Rathian shows up and they both gang up on me!
ras1116 When a Rathalos and Rathian love each other very much... They team up to kick the shit out of hunters. They are the male and female of their species respectively after all. Like a Rooster and a Hen, but like... They eat us.
Oh my gosh I enjoyed this so much. The fact that the intro showed off a new mechanic, and then the Zinogre using it to track the scout was actually kinda funny to me. You've effectively established a believable environment, informed viewers of the tracking mechanic and other new features, and the payout was actually worth it because YOU ACTUALLY SAID WHAT I WAS THINKING. The fact that everything flipped on the hunter was beautiful. I just freaking love your animations okay ;_;

I'm wondering what kind of limitations will be on the scout flies.
I still want the challenge of finding whatever I'm going to be killing but still it's nice for those that want to use it. Depending on how necessary it'll be that is.
yugijak you find the traces of the mon and the scout flies light it up and trail it a bit , I think that's how they said it works

So basically, if you don't interact with the traces then the flies won't show up to help you track the monster. Perhaps that's how it works.

You know I'm actually wondering if it's going to be more like some kind of newbie assist...something to allow you to highlight things you have trouble finding when you first play the game.
