One of the strangest things about Iceborne for me is the fact that the moose (Banbaro) can spawn literally everywhere once you first unlock him. Even in the Recess. Thing's more common than Bazel.

Get yourself level 3 Divine Blessing and bring along mega armorskins and you will be just fine, Rocksteady and Temporal are incredibly useful with the clutch claw .
> "Suicide Mantle" that has been true even before Iceborne There's more reason to use it now due to the grappling mechanic (clutch claw) and that you can gem in Divine Blessing on it to mitigate most of the damage. You can quickly wound monsters, get slinger ammo, or if you're a Switchaxe user, spam clutch claw -> Zero Sum Discharge.
@@Kensuke0987 im not going to create an entirely separate armor set specifically because of 1 mantle, that speaks volumes to how much it sucks now it actually used to save my life from lethal attacks on its own, now i need an entire armor set, and correct decos to do it, no thank you

Capcom: "Also Master Rank Flying Wyverns never fucking land, everything is a thousand times spammier, and we nerfed Flash Pods to the point of being completely worthless in Master Rank." Me: "...why would you -" Capcom: "So we have this thing called the Clutch Claw, and we literally built the entire expansion around you getting good with it."
when the monster is not enraged, you can clutch claw it in the face and use the flashpod on it. it will knock it down, but you usually dont get a long down, only a moment. it does the job of keeping it out of the air for a while. Also, since you literally shove the flashpod in its eyeball, you get the maximum amount of stun from your flashpods. you cant just shoot a flash randomly in front of monsters anymore.

I remember finding SnS to be a fun but overall not very effective weapon class. Then it got that Perfect Rush buff and my jaw hit the floor at seeing an SnS player absolutely manhandle a Zinogre like a champ while i awkwardly just booped its tail with DBs.
Has never been a bad weapon, but it was hard to get a good overall damage because you have to be very agresive with it (and its easier to do with other weapons, for more DPS) and had some strange things with it (like you can block but using the weapon well means that you shouldnt, focusing more on the low attack conmitement to evade, or using the i-frames of the back-hop) The perfect rush buff was still needed, thats for sure, and is a welcome one. Edit: Forgot to say, SnS is one of the weapons who got the better end of the stick with the clutch claw, helping to reach and break hard to hit parts, and the buff to the clawryuken allows SnS to tenderize parts very easily (with Safi, is two parts tenderized for the "price" of one)
Jose Antonio I love how everyone calls it the Clawryuken despite the name meaning claw dragon fist like that lol. A more fitting term would be the replace the fist part with claw of the original term, but that's complicated. Clawryuken is much easier to say though.
@@TheJosethemaster Having them buff the claw uppercut is nice and all, but it's hard to aim in the moment. I usually save it for downed monsters and a lot of the time I _still_ miss the part I'm aiming for either by jumping and missing, or having it clutch onto a completely different part. The Dual Blades' tenderizing buff was way easier to implement into gameplay IMO.

The segment on waking up a monster post iceborne is based on people thinking clutch wake ups are better than the old way. Before: taxi drop me at dung pile, in lower coral/ura road in elder, again! After: express delivery right in front of the target. You'd better already ate from base.
I actually grabbed Redpit at all times. Considering how it was 15 shots, the highest outside of Stone, and you can't always gets access to the good ammo like crystalburst and piercing pods, it and Scatternuts were my go to for when I just needed some kind of ammo. Better than stone by a mile. They do about double the damage at the very least for only 5 less shots. If you want some basic stats to say why you'd get them. I guess the downside to them is that if you aren't too fanatical about using them, you eventually end up picking up more later and dropping the remaining redpit you had prior that you didn't use up completely. Eh, at least I had some ammo. An empty slinger is never good.
To be honest I think the best thing Iceborne did for them isn't even wallbanging, it's the slinger bursts you can do during regular fights, which makes the ability to shotgun blast stones, redpits, or burst pods for the cost of only 1 ammo each is indispensable, especially as a Charge Blade main since I can use them while on defense
You'd be dropping the redpit if some good ammo like Slinger Bombs, Thorns, and otherwise would pop up, but if you needed any slinger ammo, you're not gonna say no. S&S pre iceborne is kinda worthless if you aren't using the whole reason you'd run S&S without the old oils of the past

The tailraider traffic jam had me crying. And I never actually knew the yellow and red eye was a sign of when you could use the clutch claw to stun a monster, I always thought it was only when they were exhausted.
It existed before Iceborne and clutch claw, so that is more a side aspect. It shows if the monster is aware of you- yellow or if it is enraged- red. When a monster is enraged it is immune to the slinger burst and redirecting swipes. It will also chase you if you leave a zone.
It’s not a sign on whether you can clutch claw a monster. That eye has been there since the beginning of MH games lol For more accuracy on knowing when you can or can’t clutch stun a monster, you should look at the ECG (monster’s heartbeat censor) next to your mini map. If it’s beating fast with occasional oranges that means it’s enraged and you can’t clutch stun. If it’s constant and blue, it’s calm and you can clutch stun it
You can use clutch claw when a monster is not enraged. Usually distinguished by color of the eye. Vital signs can do the same thing, plus some extra use like predicting how much HP left. I didnt know about the eye until recently too, i only know how to read the vital signs.

Before: Slowly whittle them down with Slinger Ammo
After: Shoot the Clutch Claw at them.

Yeah, this part of the video had me puzzled at first, but then I did a hunt with those ****ers all around. Jesus, but at the same time I was laughing so hard the whole time thinking of this video while those things were everywhere.
One of the strangest things about Iceborne for me is the fact that the moose (Banbaro) can spawn literally everywhere once you first unlock him. Even in the Recess. Thing's more common than Bazel.
Jacob Kern I feel like that’s the problem with invaders they used to be pretty intense but now since there is so many of them it gets kind of annoying and also banbaro looks really out of place in the wildspire, rotten vale and elders recess
I really want to replace Banbaro with seething bazel, I miss him
Daniel Zhao I can understand Banbaro in the desert, but a volcano and corpse land? No.
Sin Weißfell monster hunter players: ugh not bazel again I hate him
Also monster hunter players:where’s bazel I miss him

Get yourself level 3 Divine Blessing and bring along mega armorskins and you will be just fine, Rocksteady and Temporal are incredibly useful with the clutch claw .

that has been true even before Iceborne
There's more reason to use it now due to the grappling mechanic (clutch claw) and that you can gem in Divine Blessing on it to mitigate most of the damage. You can quickly wound monsters, get slinger ammo, or if you're a Switchaxe user, spam clutch claw -> Zero Sum Discharge.

when the monster is not enraged, you can clutch claw it in the face and use the flashpod on it. it will knock it down, but you usually dont get a long down, only a moment.

sword and shield before Iceborne: hit'n'block
sword and shield after iceborne: PERFECT INPUT SUPER MAX EX. COMBO SHORYUKEN
I remember finding SnS to be a fun but overall not very effective weapon class. Then it got that Perfect Rush buff and my jaw hit the floor at seeing an SnS player absolutely manhandle a Zinogre like a champ while i awkwardly just booped its tail with DBs.
Has never been a bad weapon, but it was hard to get a good overall damage because you have to be very agresive with it (and its easier to do with other weapons, for more DPS) and had some strange things with it (like you can block but using the weapon well means that you shouldnt, focusing more on the low attack conmitement to evade, or using the i-frames of the back-hop)
The perfect rush buff was still needed, thats for sure, and is a welcome one.
Can someone please send me the command input of the Clawryuken. I got gud at the Perfect Rush, but NEVER used the Clawryuken because i never knew the commands.

SA in Iceborne: "I THINK THIS MONSTER IS TOO POISED!"
SA pre-iceborne: ew, axe mode? no thanks!
SA post-iceborne: that tail's too intact for my tastes, let me just chop it down like it was a Christmas tree.
@@Ed_man_talking9 I like to think I main SA, but I don't get either of your jokes :')
the axe mode in switch axe got a buff, if you do the new heavy you can stagger monsters and break their parts more. you ought to try it its like a whole new beast.
Yeah SA is OP, the Rathain SA is very well rounded and Savage SA is perfect with lvl 4 jewel slot
Those "Vespoids" in: 9:26
are actualy from MHFU, since they only target the players, not to mention in MHFU there's a "Queen Vespoid" 8 ft - 9 ft tall,
With the Abnormal status attack of "paralyze and -50% armor debuff" it's 1 of the nasty fights, since it can summon vespoids multiple times in battle and it's attacks can drain tons of health 😠🙃
I love that Grandmeow Chef stopped by Meowscular Chef's pad to drop him of a loving meal. That's a nice sweet geature.
Before: taxi drop me at dung pile, in lower coral/ura road in elder, again!
After: express delivery right in front of the target. You'd better already ate from base.
before: imma drop you where ever the fuck this place is
after: yeet im out xD
*You must be tired walking right? Here ill bring you to the target*
HotLooP I know so convenient
9:14 and they all laughed at my obsession with paralysis immunity armor builds...well WHOS LAUGHING NOW DAVE, HUH?!
Before Iceborne:
Damn, I need Mind's eye for this monster part.
After Iceborne:
Weakspot lul.
As a hammer user, if grouped with a lightbow or heavybow user I'll hammer every point before going for the head exlusively to slugger things to death.
As a HBG main, I have grown to appreciate hammers a great deal more since Iceborne.
That meowscular and grand meowster chef bit at the end was so wholesome
The saddest part about Meowscular Chief, is of you talk to him he remarks how now one wants his cooking any more.
Are you fr. Time leave frozen boots behind, I'm going back to astera
If only getting anywhere in Astera wasnt such a huge waste of time now that Seliana is a thing where everything is only a few seconds away from each other
I still go to him from time to time. Just for nostalgia. :O
FeelsBadMan
I go to Astera from time to time just for the cooking animation. (Also, Astera hub lass is better)
I was looking for a video to show off new Iceborn stuff as I wanted to get back into it. So glad that I came across this extremely helpful and informative content. 10/10.
Anyone who fought a khezu knows about the eye of sauron.
Always watching
THIS
D A R K
I'm not sure whether the eye-con appeared in mhfu when fighting khezu
But i do remember not being able to supermandive until 4u that is
my immersion is broken. khezu is blind
1:48 OMG, I didn't expect to see an FFU reference here! It's one of my favorite childhood anime
Okay I wss going to ask what this was referencing; what is the show though? I got the Kamen Rider reference a few videos ago but this one tripped me up. Does it also relate to the slingermen joke at the end?
@@ShadowNerd92 It's an old final fantasy anime called Final fantasy Unlimited; It has a heavy emphasis on summoning. To summarize quickly one of the mc's in order to summon loads up his gun with these bullets called soil (pretty much just souls) and fires the gun in order to summon the monster.
Rundeas holy shit I remember watching this a long time ago. Didn't get the reference until you pointed it out though cause I forgot the anime name too.
The soul charge I will use on you has been decided! FFU
That reference gave me so much nostalgia!
B4 iceborne
Bazelgeuse : so anyway I start bombing
Iceborne
Ebony, fulgur, banbaro : so anyway I start roaring
Yian Garuga armor has made my life so much easier when it comes to the monsters throwing a screaming fit.
You: attacks monster
*Bazelguese wants to know your location*
i swear to fucking god those goddamn annoying ass roar, IF YOU WANNA LEAVE IT'S FINE IF YOU ROAR ONCE BUT TWICE OR THREE TIMES?? Really fucking annoying
You forget about savagejho dude
I fucking hate banbaro. Worst monster.
Wow! Nailed it. I love your sense of humor, and references to old anime. Please never stop. These toons give me tons of joy.
Bazelgeuse before Iceborne: Invades all hunters.
Bazelgeuse after Iceborne: I miss B-52.
Nice animation as always. I'd just like to mention though that rapid fire sticky 2s are not the new meta. Apparently some people were just spreading that around but it's misinformation. A TH-camr named Phemeto did a video on it where he broke down the maths and sticky 3s on light bowgun are always better even without rapid fire.
I....I just like to rapid fire explosives...... everything in this video is adapted from my "fun" experience in iceborne D: but I will pin your comment for people to learn the misinformation if they're really want to get into the meta
@@NCHProductions No problem. As always use what you like. I just figured you heard what a lot of people have been spreading so I wanted to make sure you knew.
@@NCHProductionsI'm with you, Rapid-fire Sticky 2 may not be the new meta, but it's for reals the new "fun-as-fu**" imo.
Rapid fire 2 widerange build pfffff
but but, nothing says i love you more than exploding sparklers in the thousands stuck to your senpai's face!
Okay, the slinger burst moment was legitimately the coolest thing I've seen on your channel (so far).
It's from Final Fantasy Unlimited
@@Lady_Moonsong I'm sad at just how little people understood that reference
My friend after Icebrone: "Good god these damn bugs are annoying as hell with their chain paralysis"
Me: "This is what Unite was like years ago..."
My friend: "Then what's the strategy against them?"
Me paralyzed on the ground next to my friend swarming with vespoid and an adhd black lightning dog on cocaine: "There isn't one.."
1 time I spawned far away from the camp, got poisoned, then got stung by those EVIL BUG DEMONS, then fainted which failed the quest cause it was SOS, and I got called bad. I still get nightmares man even though I play MH Rise.
Clutch claw
I never noticed that in base World the vespoids were pacifists, I just stayed away from them on principle xD
I never played Iceborne (broke college student ;-;) but I'm glad the little bastards have put the fear of Gog back into the new blood >:)
shoot them with the slinger claw
*cough* Paralysis Res *cough*
The tailraider traffic jam had me crying. And I never actually knew the yellow and red eye was a sign of when you could use the clutch claw to stun a monster, I always thought it was only when they were exhausted.
It existed before Iceborne and clutch claw, so that is more a side aspect.
It shows if the monster is aware of you- yellow or if it is enraged- red.
When a monster is enraged it is immune to the slinger burst and redirecting swipes. It will also chase you if you leave a zone.
It’s not a sign on whether you can clutch claw a monster. That eye has been there since the beginning of MH games lol
For more accuracy on knowing when you can or can’t clutch stun a monster, you should look at the ECG (monster’s heartbeat censor) next to your mini map.
Hammer before iceborne: SPEEN
Hammer after iceborne: *clutch claw monster* SPEEEEEEEEN
its the king of tenderizing now.
@@Ed_man_talking9 a mallet, used to tenderize? What a mad idea!
Hammer before Iceborne: Hammer noises
Hammer after Iceborne: Intense Skull bashing Noises
post iceborne: all right longsword, let me show you how a real man combos.
Hammer is the only way to fight yian garuga in my opinion while soloing
Before Iceborne: reptiles and chickens
After Icebourne: Cue SSJ Monkey
日本語字幕ありがとう、ほんと感謝してる
You missed how Gajalaka come out of nowhere on a downed monster and intentionally lines up to throw poison and para darts at the monster to make it look like they hit you on mistake.
Before Flashpods: Everything falls and catches bearings
After Flashpods: Everything falls and goes Apex Rajang in every direction
Flashpods getting nerfed to death made fighting MR Kushala unbearable.
Tell my charge blade ass all about it, Melees can literally go afk while Kush is hanging out in the air. KO her, wait 5 minutes, KO her twice, get jailed in tornadoland for a year
I don't think he's any more frustrating than before. Flashes still bring flying monsters to the ground, and that's all you really need. Kinda grateful for the flash need, honestly... No more mount-flashing.
@@colton99whch Yeah flashes bring Kush down but he gets immune so quickly. Im just asking for him to flap around in a range that doesnt require building a canon on top of a skyscraper to hit him. Think Silverlos and Azurelos
Really? His AI feels a lot better now. I remember fighting tempered versions which gained immunity after 4 flashes or so, and that was worse than the MR Kushala because he lands more often now.
Of course, the tornadoes are much more crazier now.
@@immanuelaj I dont know man. I tend to dropp all points in guard and offensive guard for that fwind pressure because you cant even get close to him otherwise. Which results in less damage. Which results in more flying and me going to grab a drink. I barely see him on the ground and the nerf to flashes didnt help
Grinding before Iceborne: Still no proper Streamstone to augment this damn weapon.
Grinding after Iceborne: DAMN YOU GRINDING LANDS!
I prefer guiding lands cause you have a sure way to obtain the items you need even if the grind is long while in base world I had 300 hours and never manage to augment a lot of my weapons
Dragon Slayer I never even augment my weapon once lmao 😂 I was working hard to do that before iceborne came out. And when it did I just forgot about
@@Shrbrt augmenting is so much easier though now that you don't need to rely on the stream stone lottery. However I do wish everything wasn't hidden from you in the shopping list for augment materials. Especially when tempered versions also get the same treatment.
Thats how the game make you play the game till you're overpowered
Gosh i just realized there's a FF Unlimited reference. That was a nostalgia trip
