Saying you love your Grasshopper is an understatement!
hahaha Guilty as charged!
I just bought a GH 725DT6 with less than 700 hours! Paid under $9K. The dealer is in Vincennes. Can't wait to cut around our farmpond. You must have pretty sharp blades to cut that tall grass that way.
Nice! You are going to love it! Yea, I usually try to keep my blades pretty sharp. Last year I replaced all the belts and springs. Made a huge difference with being able to keep power to the blades in the heavy stuff.
I run a Grasshopper 325D and love it. My property lends itself more to the midmount and this is my second Grasshopper diesel. First was a 322D that I sold to a friend and bought the 325D for the better seat. Both are 60" cut. There are times I wish I had a front mount deck for under trees and bushes but manage.
They are hard to beat! I truly don't think I will ever own another brand. At least not as my daily driver ha
@Indy farm life. Man its been a long time since I've seen that model. Awesome video keep them coming 👊
Thanks! Yea, it's one I'm not giving up any time soon!
After seeing one of your videos a few years ago I was searching long and hard for one of these. Just nothing popping up in the NY/NJ area where I am at. I finally settled on a 2004 72" cut Dixie Chopper with a 50HP Yanmar Diesel. She's a beast. And I make quick work of 4+ acres. But, she's a mid mount and I too have a pond that I just can't maintain some of the banks.
That's quite a bit of HP with a really good sized cut! I bet it does some work! Yea, like I said in this one, that front mount deck is what I most enjoy about this machine. Good reach!
I really liked my front mount JD!
It's a tough feature to beat!
I used to mow grass like that with my Scag SSZ when I maintained empty lots. All those lots are now developed so my mower sits rusting under a tarp. If I could find one I would like to get a Hustler 6400 six wheel hill mower. I hate mowing in our weather and I don't look anywhere as good as you when doing it!
Mowing is a bit of a necessary evil, but if you have to do it, you may as well do it with a machine you like! 6 wheel hill mower sounds fun!
@@IndyFarmLife It's a mower that tilts when on a hill, it's an old machine now but if I could fund one I would enjoy having it! That will come in handy when I move from here to a place with open space!
Aw yes that famous kubota engine 💪💪🙌
Nice! Would love to see how it does on a pond bank.
I don't have overly steep banks, but here is a video I made using it around the pond banks.

@@IndyFarmLife Thanks!
How do you get your pond to be so blue? Looks like the Caribbean lol.
Yes it does! That was my goal! ha I use pond dye. It helps cut down on algae growth and also makes it more appealing for everyone to want to swim in it!
Better have it looking like a golf course before we get there.
Haha only if you are planning to bring a golf cart! 😎
Lot of dogfoot in there... murder on spindle bearings. I wanted a 930D for years... but settled on a 928D. Hillside stability just wasnt there for my use.
Peruzzo makes a killer flail deck for Grasshoppers (Iowa Farm Equipment)... but it takes some serious horsepower to get good productivity out of it.
I have always been curious about those flail mowers. I would love to upgrade to a 928D or 930D!
@IndyFarmLife - they're put there... but they're getting rare. Tier 4 emissions killed them both. I don't how how far you are from Arkansas... but Little Rock has decommissioned a ton of them over the last few years. I doubt if they have many left, but watch the auctions. They're the only municipality I know of, that used 900-series fleet.
@JamesCopeland-i1j I'm a good ways away, but they are worth it!
@IndyFarmLife - I had plans to build/develop a tracked zero turn flail mower years ago. About the time I was in a place to move forward, Peruzzo developed their Grasshopper flail deck, and Altoz hit the scene with their tracked ZTRs. I even recommended to the guys at Altoz HQ to develop a flail deck. Apparently, they didn't think the juice was worth the squeeze.
Scag FTW
Looks Chuck Norris approved.
Haha...now that's a statement!!
