I purchased the 725D with the 61" side discharge. I'm located in Eastern N. Carolina and they are sold her by New Holland tractor dealers. The only regret I have is I didn't purchase the Vacuum. I mow about 1.25 acres weekly. This new Grasshopper replaced a JohnDeere 997 that I had run for 13 years. I decided not to go back with a Deere because the spindle speed was slower and left seedling heads standing. I wish you were closer.

I am on year (2) of my first GH 127V/61 inch/27 hp B&S.
My uncle and family friend ran the front mount versions since the 1980’s.
Got tired of buying disposable mowers and spent the money on this.
My ultimate goal is the front mount version eventually.

I run a grasshopper 400d and scag cheetah 2. Grasshopper is still my favorite and it has over 3100 hours. I may have to ride over to Texas for my next grasshopper

@@kgmowers I think the grasshopper does. The scag leaves the clippings too long. To me the hopper is a good mix between scag and Exmark/toro

@@stephanied143 yeees 🙌🏽. I try to tell people, I sell less Grasshoppers than the other brands, but they are the ones that never need another mower and hardly ever are in the shop. If they are it’s weird random stuff.

It's good to see your videos, your knowledge and inventory is astounding. As a Bad Boy Revolt owner I was considering a Grasshopper, however not having a dealer anywhere near me sorta put the kabosh to it. That Grasshopper stander does indeed look like a winner.......so do all the other Grasshoppers for that fact. Very nice machines!!!!!
I've always heard these are the best you can get if you can afford them. I'm north Louisiana I don't even know where a dealer is if I wanted to look at one.

Glad you’re back. Buying a 335 tomorrow. Picked up about 20 yards accidentally. Right mower? Or get a stand on? Scared the 26 horse is too small for the 61” deck.
The stander is so smooth and powerful. Much better trans than the 335. Make sure you drive both before making your decision

@@Hillsidelanscapemanagement yes sir ty for the support. 20 degrees with no attachments is what grasshopper states.
Some of the guys are putting dual tail wheels and that radically change that spec for y’all though.

@@Hillsidelanscapemanagement look at kgmowers on Facebook I just posted pictures of a dual tail wheel bad boy stander. It’s a group of pics from the meeting I just posted. A lot of them are starting to offer this as an option.
Does the front mount floating deck cut as good as the walkers? I like the add on attachments options like the walker.
@@kelvinross8506 nothing cuts as good as a walker. The grasshopper is one of the best cutting normal mowers. The real difference is it’s much more heavy duty, you get waaaay more mower for your money, and it’s much more productive.
The walker is more “dainty” if that makes sense. It would be hard for me to put a hand on a walker I feel like they would rip it apart.

The walker is the best cutting machine for weekly properties. But, they're too touchy and not heavy duty enough for what I need sometimes. GH seems like a good combination of cut quality, flexibility, versatility and ruggedness, even though it's a little heavy that won't be a purchase deterrent.

Me years ago. It was a 48” 23hp kohler. We got them to 14k on it and he picked it up. As he was loading it he said he was going home to swap the engine out and reinforce the frame.
I was like “why in the world are you doing this to a new mower”? He showed me 2 places the frame always breaks on him, so he puts reinforcement plates there day one and he said 23hp isn’t enough for bagging wet grass so he puts a bigger hp engine on and sends the other engine to Mexico to sell.
I asked him why he didn’t just get a diesel grasshopper for that kind of money.
He grabbed some newspapers out of the back of his truck, some Dr Pepper 20 ounce bottles and some
Other random trash and threw it all over the yard. He said “go mow over all of that”.
I was thinking no way there is gonna be newspaper clippings everywhere. It sucked it all up newspapers, bottles, all the trash.
He said this right here is why I pay so much for this mower loaded it up on his trailer and drove off to weld his frame and swap out his engine 😂
I have a 2006 727k2 that was left with the property we bought, I love the front mount deck, we want a new one but you just dont get any options for how much money you are spending.
@@ryan74701 once you get a 2016 and up there were some major changes :). To me it’s worth it because it’s a lifetime investment.

Here in Colorado there is very little dealerships support and nothing in the denver area you have to go up north and they have nothing to show all he can do is just order one for you and hope for the best no demo available I'm a Commercial guy need to demo before I buy any lawn mowers
Fly into Dallas. Rent a uhaul swing in here you have 6 brands to look at. We can give you a discount for the trouble then drive back with your new mower and drop the uhaul off in your hometown. Happens all the time here.
Would you recommend the v-bar tires or tweels for mowing slopes with a front mount mower?
Bar lugs for sure :).
You’ll see most of the front mounts I dress out I do tweels on back and bars for mid tires. Unless a 72 those look sweet with tweels all the way around
The way the price is listed on the 100v is deceptive at best. Grand total is supposed to include tax, freight and any set up fees. Unless someone is tax exempt, they will not be walking out with these prices.
Most people are tax exempt here. Most are out of state or hold farm exemptions. I would say over 50% fo sho. I’ve never heard of any retail store including tax in any price.
I have an grasshopper 327k Efi with g2 transmission that has a small leak, What can i substitute the OEM oil with until i can fix the leak ? The grasshopper brand stuff is way to expensive to let it leak out over a couple weeks. Thanks for any info !
@@Monox1de7 I only recommend grasshopper oil. There is a special blend of Mobil 1 that will work, but it’s just as expensive. If you can figure out where the leak is coming from we may can send the part to you. Some of the seals and stuff are cheap compared to the oil 🙈

@@johnnypipe we’ve had a man drive down from Alaska and buy a mower here, put it in the back of the truck, and drive it back. So far that’s been our longest drive. We have one in Tanzania Africa is our official furthest away so far 🤔
The front mount grasshopper mowers are the best
I wish they had a water cooled engine.And I wish they had kawasaki motors
@@montewestlund8880 they had to drop Kawasaki. They had too many issues with them and they weren’t as reliable for them. If you’ll look we used to have 27hp Kawasaki lc engines.
Kubota 3 cylinder gas is liquid cooled and the diesel of course. The gas Kubota is the best gas engine on a mower period
I see you have Walkers How do they compare to a Grasshopper?
@@timdavison2417 cut and bag better for sure. Very niche. Definately not as “tough” of a mower. Very light weight, great for straight yards and high end yards. Some of my customers believe they can’t function without one in their fleet.
Our casinos use them for their high end areas, I have a few customers super picky about their yards that got one :). Definately worth looking at, best bagging system hands down for any mower

Nice to see your videos again l bought a new Scag Tiger Cat 2 61 Briggs Vanguard Carbureted 32 HP it's been in the shop more than it's been out cutting grass also there's no warranty transfer one owner only that's terrible 😞

What’s going on with it? If it’s running and cutting out the vanguard may need the fuses replaced. I know it sounds dumb they had a bad run of fuses. A few .10 fuses and you may get your issue fixed 🤔

My biggest problem with Grasshopper is price, you pay double what you would for a good Hustler, Bad Boy, or Gravely. I would love to have a Grasshopper but can't afford it.
@@kenshaum3994 they are closer in the mid mounts now. On the front mounts they are definately higher

@@zacharyhatcher7115 no they stopped using them years ago. They were having waay to many issues and giving grasshopper a bad reliability name.
They stuck with kohler, kubota, and Briggs. I’ve noticed some of the newer companies opting out of kawa as well and going all in kohler 🤔
The Kubota liquid cooled 3 cylinder is their best motor by far :)
@@kgmowersI have a 727 Grasshopper with the Kawasaki engine and I have no problems with it , if I remember correctly it was people fueling the mower hot and spilling gas on the exhaust causing the fire ,if they had used common sense they wouldn’t have had a fire

Awesome detail summary of the GH mowers; most of all incredible testimony of God’s word. Look I have a 2014 front mount 725kt. The transmission had to be replace after 2 months or less;(no charge); now 9 years later I’m told the transmission needs replacing again; the choke is not opening all way up and one of the fans stop working; also the deck cuts off when I hit a bump or uneven terrain. I paid almost $13,500. Now I’m face with a $3000 repair not to mention about $2000 spent over the years. Man, I think I got a lemon, because GH I was told are know for longevity. My buddy has one 20 years old and he has had no issues. I still believe they are great mowers, I think I have just had some bad luck with mine. I’m Mississippi and GH are not seen a lot here. I don’t see them used cutting on the highways. If I get repaired this time hopefully she will run for another 10 years. It still looks great.
@@ThaddeusRobertsJr of course it is a piece of equipment. We sold one new 14k grasshopper. The guy made one pass and his engine locked up.
He demanded his money back. I called kohler, they over nighted us an engine. I think the motor was $3k and the shipping was crazy.
The next day around 5 the guy called me asking if I had a check or he was going to his lawyer. I told him his mower was fixed sitting in his yard and I mowed his yard to make sure the motor wasn’t gonna lock up again.
He started screaming at me, but ended up being one of my customers :).
Shoot me your model and serial and if your sitting on it which side is out, if it’s the pump or the wheel motor. Maybe I can help you out on the parts cost anyways :).
We had one guy replace an engine 7 times on his mower but still loved it 🙈
