Glad to see a working Chad to CCS adapter and that it works with Superchargers if needed. Tesla Superchargers were originally meant only for Tesla, as you may know. Because of this and their simplified designs, there are no screens. Inside the car and on the Tesla App, all the information you would like is available for charging and it's live. Also, as you may know, Tesla owners simply plug in and it charges. They don't need the app, but they do have to of setup a payment method on their tesla account. Most Tesla owners used a credit card or debit card to pay the 100 or 200$ order fee when they ordered their car, so there is already a payment method on file. There are so many Leafs out there and fewer places to charge Chademo compared to CCS1 and J3400 (NACS/Tesla), it's refreshing to see they won't be left out. Just too bad the adapter is so expensive.
There is a big sale going on. I think up until the New Year starts. They really lowered the price of the adapters temporarily period especially with so many other company, is making them now. Period Though I don't trust the other companies ones, because I've had one from back China, and it Did not work at all and that one was a thousand dollars period this one, here is a few hundred dollars cheaper and it has worked everywhere period it is nice to know that my car is going to have a longer life due to the adapter
Looking forward to the road trip! I'm also seriously considering the CHAdeMO adapter, but I want to confirm that I can get my Ranger EV up and running first. It beats the heck out of a $4,000 CCS1 system.
Also, they have been teasing me with this vehicle to Home box for the Nissan leaf that they created. It’s not only vehicle to Home but also vehicle to vehicle. I’m really hoping they send that to me because I live full-time in a travel trailer RV and if I could use my car instead of a generator out camping, it’s gonna be a game changer
You’re lucky to have a Costco that has a dc fast charger. I shop there and they don’t even have L2 chargers at a minimum. Thanks for the demo! I will wanted to see a real leaf owner be able to charge at the Tesla charger 👍

The Accraine website says the max speed it puts out is 50 kW, but I see you hitting speeds in the 70s. What are your thoughts - is that a misprint, or out of date information on their website? No, it puts out way more than 50 sometimes I get 76. I don’t know I never seen it on their website. I know the Nissan leaf the older ones only excepted 50 but nor leafs are 100 so I don’t know I have do not have an explanation I never actually have been to the website. I should probably go over there and check it out. I just go by what they talk to me on the telephone about about or when we communicate via text message. I never really went to the website that’s scary. Maybe I need to and I don’t know. I honestly don’t know if my I don’t wanna put my foot in my mouth. I just never went to the website and I know it does more than 50 A-to-Z is good also It’s all your preference which is cheaper than a better value and works good. I know they both work good from what I hear but I’ve only tried two different brands and I found the one that I like and I’m sticking with them not due to just having a great product, but customer service has been great and always helpful, but that’s my experience. I can’t answer for anybody else. Accraine I want them to be able to get that contract with Nissan. I think that would be great.

The charging lights on the dash briefly flash indicating charging but then the session ends after a few seconds with an unknown error on the Tesla app. Contacted A2Z a couple times about it with logs but haven't heard back. After seeing nomadic hippie's videos I kind of wish I went with the Accraine adapter instead.
@ yeah it won’t work with A-to-Z A-to-Z has not went out across the country and put firmware in there. CCS one adapter they have to do a firmware update and I don’t believe they’re going to do it anytime soon from my understanding. I know they make good adapters, butthat’s one of the reasons I would not purchase one of theirs is because they’re kind of like Apple. They let android do all the creative stuff and eventually fix their stuff to do the same thing years down the road.

I am still pretty mind blown that supercharger to ccs1 to Chademo adapter combo works. Wonder if the slower speed 52 KW is due to a setting that causes the supercharger to think that it charging a Bolt or something like that which can only charge at a maximum of 55 kw.
That’s a good question honestly, I don’t think so, though because the car is the gatekeeper of how much it will accept from what I understand so I always thought it was from the car side how much it could accept is what it will take so I don’t know I really don’t know my car does a 100 it should’ve been higher than that but I was just driving, so my battery could’ve been a little warm

I do have a secondary car I put in as a Chevy bolt. I was gonna put like a Ford Mustang or a Rivian or something like that but I just stuck with a Chevy bolt because my girlfriend used to have one so like I said it might be reading as a Chevy bolt not exactly sure.
I don’t know if she could drive a Nissan the little roads that she lives on near Manila I’m not exactly sure most everybody rides scooters but if she could, I would get her one

There are plenty of CCS stations. I am going to continue on with my road trip soon and I will find out if that is still the case across the United States where I might need a Tesla supercharger but at least you’re in Florida.
