I have been informed that a new firmware update is incoming very soon
was the leaf a 40kwh or 62?
75 kwh on a ZE1 40kwh battery?
Thanks for the video and information. Looking on with interest.
Thank you for reporting. I've ordered my ccs2 to chademo adapter already at Evniculus. I'm driving a ZE0 and hope that more e-stations are ok with my model
This is awesome! I imagine to see prices for used Leafs going up fairly soon.
Great news to have an EU supplier 👍 Dalas EV repair has shown a similar adapter from China / AliExpress. Quite expensive, though. Will definitely check the link to this one 👍 Please follow up with more videos on this one as firmware improves.
It is the same, not similar ;)
Most likely Evniculus is just a business that bought these in bulk from Alibaba/Dongguan Longood Technology to resell them in Bulgaria, Germany and some other EU countries. The design is 100% identical to the Chinese adapter that autonlaturit/PJ-Yhtiöt (Finnish site in Dala's video) resells in Finland :D
@@Fortzon we tested our ccs2 to chademo in Finland, Poland, UK and other countries this month and it work on all the charging stations.
Now that's something! A new Leaf era..
Enhauto & EVNiculus FTW! 🇧🇬
This is so awesome! Looking to order an adapter once the price drops some more.
super!
Probably the most important lesson from this video is the variability in charging protocols among various chargers and the companies that support them. This is clearly an area where government standards for interoperability would make sense.
As for the ChaDemo to CCS adapter, I am happy it exists. However, with the Leaf it is more of a safety net foe a longe trip than a real solution for long trips because of the SW that limits fast charging on the Leaf.
Herein the USA only had it working on abb but hopefully it will work soon on a few more
we will be testing our ccs1 to chademo in America next month.
I thought the Chinese one was expensive but this is crazy. Even if I had guaranteed compatibility with cCS chargers in the UK, the price is too high.
Does the adapter locked the charger as well?
Hi does this work on the Tesla chargers
Nice idea, but the price...
Jist hooked up my 2021 id3 pro family and ive 42225 watt hour of battery capacity. On car scanner. Has it really degraded that much. 41k km milage😢
Is this available in the USA?
Is it working in the United States?
Not to mention that it is a 1200$ adapter 😢
What about the security? I don't see any lock. This device cost almost $2000 and can get stolen easily... Any advice?
Does it only work for the Nissan Leaf, not the Lexus UX300E?
It works on all CHAdeMO vehicles.
do these lock? bit valuable to leave unattended...
When charging yes
@@matthewspry4217what about when charging stops?
Jesus, that costs half of what I paid for my used Leaf, that's insanity. Full on home chargers are cheaper than that all in.
wow, 75kw at 50%?! I can't get 100kw CHAdeMO's in the states to do that on my Leaf XD (I've only gotten 45kw for that)
In all honesty, it's better for the battery. If you drive alot, I'd suggest buying the appropriate EV. The reason people have so many problems with EVs and Evs catching fire is people want it charged NOW. I own a leaf and I've used Chademo twice. Once when I left the dealership and another time after a "trip". I didn't have to that time but I wanted to see how long it would take to go from 50% to 80%. That's the range I keep it in. Every day at work, I plug my charger into an outlet and charge. I get 20%. That covers errands and work. On the weekends I use Volta chargers. They're J plug chargers and you can charge free for 2 hours. That covers weekend errands. Rarely below 50%. Rarely above 80%. Your cars battery will last for 500k miles.
@@user-ud1bs7xn1t When I can help it, I prefer to level 2 charge.
When I can help it. For long trips, I need the DC Fast Charging.
I did luck out and find a Level 2 Charger a mere 5-10minute walk from work, so this is now my primary charger (Bonus, it's free!) - WHEN IT WORKS. Sadly these 4 chargers are in very high demand so IF they are free working? It's great! When they aren't, however... I've got to swing over to the Electrify America down the road.
That being said, I'll never Fast Charge unless the car is under 30%, as a rule. Level 2 charge is a little different, I try to not do that unless it's below 50%.
@@JE-zl6uy it'll definitely help your battery life. People are so consumed with fast charging. These manufacturers keep trying to do more for fast charging and all they're doing is helping people destroy their battery. Evs definitely can work on a large scale. The battery tech needs to not be held back for profits. Lifepo4 and solid state batteries as well as nuclear batteries are the future. Imagine a AA battery that can power your house for a month or more. That's what a diamond battery has the potential for.
1400€ for adapter is insane! Waayyy to much for consumers to actualy buu it. It becomes niche item for that price.
Isn't Tesla's Chademo adapter much cheaper?
@@abraxastulammo9940Tesla Adapter is so you can charge from Chademo to Tesla, the other way round.
@@abraxastulammo9940about 1/3
Wait few years price will drop
wait and see, until it will be cheaper
The problem is not the chargers but the Japanese car manufacturers.
Yes, CHAdeMO is a closed system, and they don't like not licensed players on the market!
Great. Time to remove chademo stations.
Yes, I found a brand new charging station last week right on the way to my daughter's home. I pulled in with 18% left about 8 miles from my destination. I thought, "This is great! Restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The perfect place to top up for the trip back "). . . then I noticed, they ONLY HAD CCS there. No CHAdeMO! &*$#@! I am afraid I will be seeing this more and more often as new stations go in. When the price drops from outrageous to maybe just unreasonable I will likely buy one. ;-)
Not really it's about 1300€
Who is going to buy this ? I hope Nissan did not plan to sell ,ore than 1000 of this model. Chademo kills.
