It was so lovely to have you in class and get to hang out after! Thanks for all the lovely words in this podcast and your Shetland Solstice hat is looking gorgeous!
I’m a new viewer of your podcasts….but, boy did I start viewing at the right time. Your discussion about Fair Isle knitting techniques has inspired me in a big way. Thank you for sharing. I spent the evening planning out my first Fair Isle project because I’m so excited.
The love the Blue Water Sweater you knit! That is a must have pattern for me. If you ever come down south to Cañon City, we have a lovely yarn shop here. If you do come, reach out as I would love to meet you! 😁 Thank you for sharing your knitting projects; they are beautiful!
Love your channel. I found you 4 days ago and have already watched every episode. Very sad because now I will have to wait for each episode to show up. You are getting better with each show and your knitting and sewing skills are professional quality. Looking forward to the show notes for some of the links. I am going to try my hand at sewing my own project bag in order to have the style, size, shape and number of pockets that are perfect for me. Looking forward to the next year of your channel [even if it will take a full year rather than 4 days :)]. Thank you for all of the information you give us.
You are so kind! Thanks for this fun note!!! Can’t wait to hear more about your project bag. Yes I will get the show notes in as soon as I get home from moving my kiddo into college
ahhhh the hobonichi haul!!! I was just noticing the washi tape on your peg board and next thing I knew you were talking about hobonichi. LOVE! totally want to see an a6 flip thru ;) . I bought my first hobonichi to keep track of knitting projects - but ended up using it as a planner/ journal and use a separate notebook for knitting projects (since my projects tend to span ...years. haha).
So fun! I tend to use it like a junk journal, just for fun and what I want in the moment ! And the cutie A6 is so perfect. The weekly I do write down daily chores and tasks, not as fun but helps me focus
Thank you for an inspiring podcast! Loved all of your knits. 🥰 Dealing with gauge can be a bit tricky (having similar issues), but I've found that knitting a larger swatch than 4 x 4 gives me a more accurate measurement. I've tried using different swatch rulers, such as the one suggested by Andrea, a wooden one, the Susan Bates, and ANN BUDD’S HANDY GAUGE RULER. I really like the last one; it's perfect! I used all 3 at the same time..;)
Fun to hear about your class with Gudrun. I am a big fan of her patterns. And you had me running to purchase that cover on cover for my A5 planner! Would love to see a video about how you use a planner for knitting, if you do.
I too have a longer torso for being quite a short woman. At 4’ 10”, I can not wear a petite top, they are too short, but on the other hand, even petite pants are still too long, so short legged.
I look forward to your podcast every time! Maker and Stitch is my local shop even though I live in Steamboat. I wish I could have joined you at the workshop to meet you but we are traveling! Maybe someday we will cross paths, if you ever travel to Steamboat let me know and we could meet up, Your knits are beautiful and so inspiring and I am obsessed with knitting as you are! Cheers!

Ooo thanks! Looking that ruler up now! Yes I’m hoping to be better about a larger swatch. Maybe 6x6?
Hi Mari! Wow, that swatch in the round technique blew my mind. Not sure why I’ve never thought of that either 😅. Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!

Oooo great idea ! I’m not super organized, just good intentions but i will share my jottings soon 🥰
Your class sounds amazing. Great tip on swatching in the round. Why didn't I think of that!
Right!? I think I audibly said “huh!” In class
Blew my mind and never even thought of that before 😂
Fun podcast as always 😊. I just finished reading, The Lion Women of Tehran. Such a good story, I hope you enjoy it.
It's so good!
