I just saw my doctor a couple weeks ago and told him the things I was seeing change I my body. He did do a blood draw and tested my hormones, which all came back within the normal range. He told me that perimenopause was not a thing. I wouldn't be in menopause until around 52. Women are either in menopause or not. I was not shocked by this response, but I was glad I have your book as a guide. Thank you for the work you have done for women.
"Normal range"?? My mom 80 had her estrogen tested, she is in the normal range which is 0! Normal range doesn't mean anything, my opinion only. 💕
Well, perimenopause is a thing. I've been through it. It started around 40 for me.
My thought on it not existing was, "Because you are a dude!"
Mine was like that and refused a blood test because I was "too young". Eventually approx 5 years later I was finally given a blood test and I was pretty far through the menopause by that stage.
carissa 1 never go to a man for a woman's issue, 2 tell him i said he is full of it i was peri in my 30's and i am now post at 47. blood test does nothing for testing hormones it has to be a 24 hour pee test. go to the womans health clinic that is closest to you. never ever let anyone tell you how your body feels when they are not living in it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Because of you and other HRT advocates, I went on low dose 0.025 estradiol and micronized progesterone (am 54 and in perimenopause). Basically told my doctor that’s what I want and didn’t give her a choice. I didn’t know I was depressed until I started taking it. I feel fantastic. Hot flashes, gone, body aches, gone, 15 lb weight loss, sleep better (started having vivid dreams again), I feel 10 years younger.
Did you gain weight initially and then level out? . I hear you gain quite a bit of water weight. Thank you.
@@neicycombs3533 no I didn’t gain any weight. I sleep better and have more energy. I eat healthy (keto) and work out. Before HRT I felt lethargic and achy which was not conducive to a healthy lifestyle.
So happy for you! What a blessing Thank you for responding. ❤️
@@neicycombs3533I had the same experience and I am fifty four too as my joint pain went away I could start exercising and lost ten pounds in 9 months without making an effort 🤷🏻♀️. Perhaps initially a tiny bit of more water retention, but I got my muscle strength back ( could not open a jar anymore because my hands hurt so much). So go ahead, but be prepared for a little bit of spotting in then increase your Progesterone.
Best wishes from Germany 🇩🇪 💕
Doctor, I'm sure that you are very well educated and a fabulous source of information for so many of us. However, I don't understand the necessity for "absof-----lutely" when "absolutely" would have worked beautifully. Profanity keeps me from sharing vital information with people that need it. It also encourages me to look elsewhere for further information. Best wishes.
I honestly thought I was losing my mind, at 53 yo! I'm an RN and was under the impression that HRT could lead to breast CA, which I am so embarressed about. Someone suggested that I watch you on you tube and I have taken control of my health, and started HRT, estradiol/progesterone patch. I started 2 wks ago, and it feels like I'm coming out of a fog, everything looks so crystal clear to me and I honestly thought I would never be able to think clearly again. I know now, I will never be without estrogen. I'm so thankful to you and all of your education. I can't thank you enough!!!
I was thinking the same thing , going to the Dr next week because I need to do something. I’m 53 and feel awful.
I’ve been on HRT for exactly one month now and it’s changed my life too.. My brain fog is going away too
Did u experience bleeding?
So far, no bleeding. Only 3 wks into HRT, so hopefully I won’t have any.
Joint pain, mood swings, no libido, high blood-pressure, insomnia, inability to lose weight all of the symptoms!!! A doctor finally agreed with me today that it is my hormones causing these issues and mentioned listening to Dr. Mary Claire 🤯and working to become certified in treating menopause.
On here to say thank you. I’m 57, regular health care. No dr ever discussed hrt with me. About 5 or so years ago I asked a primary doctor about my new weight struggles. Told him it was since I started menopause. He said “you should be done with that by now and I’m not aware of weight gain being an issue connected to menopause”. That was the last time I saw him but also the last time I brought this up with a dr. I friend sent me one of your videos about six months ago. I then realized how many of my health issues were due to my lack of hormones. I finally put on my first estrogen progesterone patch yesterday!!!!
I wish more Doctors were like you.
Hello Dr Haver! What do you think about teaming up with the actress Halle Berry on her journey to get lots of funding from Congress for Menopause health and research for all women in the future? I have seen her all over the tv lately because she is just starting out on her journey to educate and get menopause funding for all women, but you have been on this journey for us women for many years and we appreciate you….. You and Halle Berry will make a hell of a team with her celebrity power to make people listen, and your menopause education, expertise and wonderful personality! Just a thought.
I am 57 yrs old and started using estradiol patch and I love it! Game changer for me. I have been able to accomplish my goal of lowering my cholesterol by 38 points in 3-4 months. My other goal was to lower my A1C and have done so, it was 5.8 and it is now 5.6! I am so happy, proud, grateful!!!
👌🤗🤗🤗 well done and best wishes from Germany🇩🇪
I was diagnosed with MS before the lock down. It all started around the menapause. I thought I didn’t need any help and my mum and sister had had breast cancer . But since I found you and I have more knowledge I’ve been to see my doctor and started on treatment and I feel so good every week that’s going by I’m getting back to my normal self. I know I’ll never be 100 percent but I’ve gone from 50 percent to 80. I’m so glad I found you. Thankyou
Because of my age, 77, I cannot find a doctor in my area that will even talk to me about Hormones . Wish you would talk more about older women using hormones. Also about Uterine biopsy OUCH!
The research is very conflicted about starting hormones in older women. Vaginal estradiol cream is safe to start at any age. You deserve to have a conversation with a menopause educated doctor to determine if your health benefits outweigh your health risks. Is 60 years old too old to start Hrt??
You look great with your natural morning look. Never apologize for being natural!
Age 69 with no uterus and no HRT for many years. Just got my GP to prescribe the estradiol patch based on the latest study which showed that this actually helps with a myriad of health problems in women 65 and older. Thankful I have a doctor who cares about my health!
“Take some deep breaths “ and “there is nothing wrong with you” is what I was told last week. So sad
I went on HRT at about 45 given by the MD. When her retired the PA I started seeing took me off them at about 56. I have been MISERABLE since. I finally convinced her at 58 to put me back on them. I still don't think she is completely is on board. I just started reading your new book and since about 90% of the symptoms apply to me I am glad I pushed. Thank you!
Need another book for physicians
"...so that you can live your longest, healthiest life...forever." LMAO, I immediately bought the book! Way to go Dr!
Please spend some time addressing beginning HRT post-menopause. There’s a huge population of healthy older women who were denied these benefits based on the WHI study and who now want to do what is possible to make up for having had the misfortune of falling through the cracks. I, personally, am doing all the diet, exercise, and lifestyle things. I am searching (with no success, so far) for an informed clinician to partner with me in sorting out the best approach, recognizing that starting much earlier would have been better. Can’t go back, so let’s go forward as proactively as possible! Thank you so much for the advocacy!
Absolutely agreed!!!!
God bless you! I am that generation that screwed by not getting a hormone talk early on!
Thank you so much! Because of you I found a provider that prescribed HRT for me and just 2 weeks on Estradiol has made a huge difference in my life. I'm SLEEPING! I have energy, endurance, and most importantly, my joy back. I had to have a hysterectomy in my 40s (still have my ovaries) and went through terrible peri menopause because nobody would prescribe HRT for me. At 56, I finally feel 'normal' again and I'm so grateful!
Thank you so much for sharing such helpful information. Went through menopause and felt every symptom and it was so hard to even get out of bed. Hormones helped immediately! Now, because of several surgeries to remove polyps and fibroid cysts and thickening of the endometrium, my doctor suggested I remove everything. Had four children, two thru c-sections. I did, and have decreased libido, and loss of muscle, just lots of changes. She decreased estradiol to 1mg from 2, and told me to slowly get off the progesterone, but got worse. Started taking the progesterone again. Started taking the magnesium L-threonate. Two of 144 mg per night. Now asking after a week, to increase to two in am besides the two in the evening. Feeling more tired than usual. Was diagnosed with IBS about 15 years ago, so have to be careful with the diet. Taking fiber before eating. Gluten sensitive, lactose intolerant. Need help with my mood and my energy level.
Dr. Haver takes her magnesium at night as well as her progesterone because they help with sleep and can make you feel tired after you take them.

I'm 52 and on MRT. The biggest struggle is the weight gain, insomnia and the constant aches. Also feeling like I can't keep my SH*T together. I used to be the queen of multitasking and now not so much. I have been following you for about 3 years and am so glad you are here to help us navigate this
Dr Haver, I think you’re absolutely amazing and such a wonderful, strong & effective advocate for women’s health and menopause! Have just ordered your new book here in Australia and I cannot WAIT to get my hands on this!! I’m a huge supporter and user of bio-identical HRT since I went into early menopause at 40 after severe, chronic & extreme stress caused by 7 years of living with my controlling & abusive narcissistic Ex.
Stress was a huge contributing factor to my health demise & have slowly gotten back on track with the help of bio-identical Estradiol and micronised Progesterone. (Prometrium) Now married to the most wonderful & caring husband I could ever have. If I lived in your country, you would be my Doctor of choice. Thank you Mary, for ALL you do! 🥰🇦🇺
Thank you so much for the hope you have giving me. I am 62 and have suffered most of my life. I am also encourge my daughter who is 44 and suffers from depressing to see a doctor for her care. I started my menopause gurney at the ripe age of 42 and need for her to do something about it now, so she doesn't suffer. Thank you again
YAY for women’s health!!! 🥳❤️ Thank you Dr.Haver for all you do! 🤗
Absolutely love your content Dr Haver. Thank you for all you’re doing for women. Thank you. Thank you. A million thanks!
Thank you, Dr Haver. I’m enlightened knowing I am not crazy and that I am going through menopause.
I'm on Chapter 2 of The new Menopause! I love it!!!
I love that when I’m watching a video of yours, that now an advertisement pops up-of you!!! I have been following you on TH-cam for a number of years now. Your bravery, experience & expertise have inspired me to be brave on my own perimenopause & to not give up. I am alongside you on this journey & I thank you for your time, effort & blood, sweat & tears that you have put into your work, especially for this new, life changing book. I am a licensed therapist & I see a lot of women. You better believe that I have directed them to your websites & videos so that they could be armed with the most recent information available, in order to advocate for themselves. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏🏻 you wonderful leader in women’s health! 🎉
Love the Q & A videos! I am not on TikTok so never get to see it Live. Thank you for continuing to share these videos on TH-cam and FB
Thanks for being the voice of reason and knowledge for all of us going through this stage of life, and for all of those about to, so they have the knowledge a lot of us didn't at a time when we needed it. My life / mental health did a complete 180 once I started HRT over a year ago at 55. My copy of the book arrived yesterday. I can't wait to dive in. Your first book was extremely helpful. Thanks for the tools to live a healthier life. I have don't have children, so having my health as I get older when I don't have a 'caregiver' in my older age, is crucial. The women in my line have a habit of living into late 90s and 100+. I want to ensure I stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible to have the life I want and can enjoy.
I'm 48 and just started HRT 6 days ago. I realize it could be a placebo effect, but I feel so much better already. My sleep has improved with the progesterone and I no longer feel like I want to drive my car off a cliff. 👍
Love you. Thank goodness for you!
Thank you for all your time and knowledge !!
I am ordering the book ! I am 53 and I am losing hair in clumps and the joint pain has absolutely awful that I can’t even exercise, this among many other symptoms. I feel like someone just threw me a life jacket by seeing this .
Oh my gosh! you answered all my questions...thank you!
I just received a signed copy of your new book! Thank you!
The book is great!! Thank you so much!!
Read your new book in one day ! Such great info !!! Thank yu
I thank God for you and your research and for a friend sharing your information!
Thank you Mary Claire! Who knew that stumbling upon one of your videos recently would result in me putting more thought into this, finding a local provider, and getting onto their schedule. I'm very much looking forward to an improved quality of life. Again, thank you!
I missed the live! I have learned so much from you
I just ordered my book from Amazon, can’t wait to be empowered. Thank you for the hope ❤️
Thank you times infinity
I love all your content I'm 43 and suffering you have helped so much ❤
Thank you thank you thank you for arming me with the information I needed to advocate for myself and find a supportive provider. Less than a month on hrt and I feel like myself again. I
Didn’t have hot flashes so it never occurred to me to seek out help. Brain fog is gone, my mood is better, insomnia is gone, less joint pain, no more crazy itching every evening. You are a godsend.
My copy of the book is set for delivery today. As someone who is 45 I was to make sure I am on top of what is to come.
Congratulations on hitting #1!
Thank you Doc. As a colleague (different speciality and now retired) your book is full of easy to read up to date facts. The clarity with which you present this information. Thank you. One more symptom to add to your list of post menopause list. Swollen hands and feet. My feet particularly were so swollen that it felt as if I was walking on ground glass. Two weeks after putting a (low dose) oestrogen patch on my behind I stepped out of bed to pain free for the first time in years. The effect of my health, posture and ability to walk is incredible. Well done!
Pre-ordered the book & power read through it. Thank you so much for helping me navigate the “zone of hormonal chaos”. ❤
I’ve been on HRT for exactly one month thanks to you..
it’s CHANGING MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER
I have your book, just have not started it yet! Cant wait to open it, and dig in!!
Have just bought your book and am very much looking forward to reading it. Thanks so much for all that you're doing for women's health. I am a 47 yr old perimenopausal woman living in the UK who is hoping to have a conversation with my GP about HRT and I plan to read this book before doing that! 👌🙏❤️
So far, haven’t found anyone willing to prescribe hrt for me because I’m over 60, yet I keep hearing that women my age can benefit greatly from hormone replacement. Even those who are saying this refuse to treat me because of my age. I’m 67.
Hi I am at the same age and same situation, with memory issues. Seems we are the forgotten generation :-(. If you:anyone happen to find any helps please post up here.
I finally found a Dr who listened & now on HRT & meds for insulin resistance 🎉
The book is so very helpful wow thank you every woman should have this book it just came out and I already read it . Loved it
Está el libro en español?
I have my copy!!!
My worst symptoms have been muscle pain, dizziness, ringing in ear, and the tingling sensations. I have seen every specialist under the sun to rule things out. Started estrogen HRT in Feb on 0.025mg for 4 weeks, increased to 0.0375mg for 8 weeks and will increase this week to 0.05mg as I am not seeing any changes yet. My estrogen level tested at
You have changed my life ❤ Please consider doing some talks about endometriosis if possible, so many of us are silently suffering and constantly gaslit in much the same way ✨🙌✨
I have dealt with night sweats for nearly a decade, they have only become progressively worse as I am in late peri-menopause now. Poor sleep for even longer than that. Anxiety, brain fog, even a trip to the ER with a panic attack in the last 2 years. I will be 55 in 2 weeks. My bp and glucose were up at my last physical. I'm ready to talk to my provider about HRT, just not sure where to start. I do have cardiovascular risk factors (bi-cuspid aortic valve and slight aortic dilation). I plan on getting the book (as I sit here sweating). Thank you for speaking out about this.
I wish I had known you’d be in Vegas! I would have loved to come see you!!!
I do Testosterones Pellets its been so helpful
I have learned so much since watching your videos. Thank you so much.
Do you have a spanish version?
Sabes si el libro está en español?
Wow, I wish I knew you were in Chicago
Yay!
Can I start HRT at age 63 , I was put on anxiety medication. I would like to start HRT I have osteoporosis, a family history of dementia. For years I have had lots of UTI’s . I am fatigued. Muscle and joint pain. Please need help so enjoy listening to you and need help.
Touch!
Looking forward to reading the book, when will your audiobook be available in the UK?
I just discovered you last week and am learning so much from you!!!!
My doctor has me on prempro , which I started about 6 months ago and am having great results. How does this compare to estradiol and progesterone? I know it's a LOT more expensive, but having met my deductible it's not crazy expensive.
My most persistent symptom has been annoying joint pain and decreased libido
I just started using the brand Winona. Do you think it is an affective treatment for HRT?
Hello! Where did you find your beautiful cross necklace? I'd love to find one for myself. Thanks!
It would be nice to read about post menopause and detailed help for the uncomfortable symptoms associated with it. Feel like I see little more than a postscript when it comes to advice for us older gals.
Hello, what are you recommending for your patients for osteoporosis that are already on hrt, calcium, vitamin D and vitamin k? It seems like Fosamax isn't very effective. Thanks!
Why are post menopausal women largely ignored? Luckily I have visited your clinic and got help, so excited. I want to work in Menopause care now.
I was going into menopause while dealing with the stress and death of my Dad. It was a nightmare in 2008
If I purchased the audio book where can we find the print outs?
How do you feel about pellet therapy? Expensive and insurance doesn’t cover it.been off it for a yr. Don’t have any hormone symptoms but I do have weight gain. I need to go to my gynecologist I moved but I need to find one here. I need to get your book. Just got the Galveston diet book to start.
I am 85. Have been on Hrt sine early menopause at 39. I am on climara pro .045 estradiol .015 levonorgestrel I plan to continue. The box says not to cut the patch but my Dr has me using half a patch patch. What do u think about cutting patch. Or is there a better patch?? Thank you
I’ve been sent to Dr I wish I never this 10 year’s ago
Nice
How can you determine if one has RA vs similar caused by hypothyroidism vs menopausal muscular-skeletal related?
What are your thoughts on wild yam cream to balance hormones? I still plan on going on some form of HRT. Can the cream be beneficial and also taken along with HRT?
Is the combo patch a recommended or do you prefer estrogen patch and prometrium?
47 and going on low dose hrt exactly the way you said! Thanks Mary i did everything far and wide testing for all symptoms and everything is all over the place so we start it tomorrow. my a1c is 12. it didn't scare me because i didnt have the issue but it went all of a sudden. i ruled out everything else and went yep it has to be hormones. where exactly is the new study so i can keep informed on it?
I went to two Drs at Kaiser one male and then 2nd opinion with a female menopause specialist she was with me asking questions for a while but she said you can choose to listen to whatever Dr you want but I won’t put you in HRt right away I guess bc I’ve only been on birth control for less than 3 months but she seems pretty thorough if not I’m going to look at the website for Drs.
I had PCOS until peri menopause then developed a huge fibroid instead. My drs say no HRT as it will feed my fibroid which would likely shrink otherwise. Is this correct or old info?
Can I have your opinion on Tilbolone 2.5 mg?
Keep up the good work!!
My provider would not give me Estrodiol, she said I did not need that. She only prescribed Progesterone and LDN for my Hashimotos and said I need Testosterone pellets but those are expensive.
Would like information about starting HRT after 60yrs old.
I'm 51. Regular exercise. A slew of mild symptoms that collectively affect my quality of life. Daily urticaria hives that require antihistamines daily. That is the most significant one. Also, ear aches and itching, low libido, overall body aches that feel at times like I've been in an accident in the morning, cognitive sharpness is slowly challenged, anxiety exacerbated and sleep issues that I have never suffered from. I wake up at 3 or 3:30 am and cannot go back to sleep.
Hello Dr Haver
My bogyn they put in menopaul medecin
I am having anxiety, depression, and other symptoms
What should i do to help my symptoms
What causes neausa vertigo on evorol Conti patches low dose please thank you ♥️
I have all my parts and pieces (post menopausal) and started HRT (estradiol and norethindrone acetate tablets, (1mg / 0.5 mg) about a month ago. Haven’t had a period since February 12, 2022, but started my period on May 2nd (not cool), and turned 58 on May 6th. Period lasted about six days. Also, three migraines. Is the patch better?
❤❤❤
LOVED the book!! I’ve been recommending like crazy to friends and my sisters!!
Are you accepting new patients in your Colorado practice?
If someone has an IUD can they still go on HRT? AND HOW DO YOU KNOW THISE DOSAGE OF THE HORMONES? I’m scared but I feel like I need to be on it.
Is it possible for estrogen and progesterone to get out of whack? I have successfully used estrogen patches with progesterone cream for several years now but my levels haved changed and are unbalanced.
could you elaborate on patients who had early ER breast cancer and Tamoxifen and vaginal patches and risks of endometrial cancer amd other risks
Hi dear ,where can I get your book..im residing in Southern Africa ..Botswana
