    Lovin' this mate. Living the dream, so to speak, solo travel, discovering what an awesome new bike you have... doesn't get any better :)

    Loving the vids, and no, you don’t need to stand when driving a smooth, dirt road 😂

    Love seeing the wildlife (from a distance) when I go on rides. I do sometimes wish we has more straight open road around where I live but turns are fun too.

    Very true about our coat of arms symbols being a "kangaroo short of a top paddock" so to speak but just remember that standard has been set at the very top of our hierarchical political system here in Australia. Great couple of videos btw, really enjoying them.

    You've got me thinking about doing a solo trip.........haven't done one before so it's a big step for an unfit 66 year old on a 1250GSA. Would certainly need one of your lifting tools just in case....

      There is something special about riding alone. I love it. But a risk assessment is important at our age.

    Great video again! Really like your videos from the other side of the world. Ps. That was a close call at 10:50 😅.

      Thanks mate.
      Yes. Was focussed on the first 3 emu’s and didn’t see the last one till it was past.
      Gave me quite a scare!

    Great video 🎉 loved those long straight roads , where i am in nz now , so many corners it's exhausting 😢. Cheers.

      Ha! Lucky you having so many corners. I know Kinga has thoroughly enjoyed her visit there.

    I enjoyed your beautiful photography, especially your drone footage.
    I liked your narration and your deliberate pace. All perfect.

      Thanks mate. No one dies in my videos so of course don’t get lots of views!
      Nice to have one discerning viewer.

      G’day Adrian, not sure about being discerning but Keri and I are enjoying your trip on the A/T as well. Must be something about the age group.
      It really makes us appreciate our country, and our bikes too.
      Safe travels mate 🇦🇺🏍

    What a big butiful country but without people.
    Why is that city you passed through deserted?

      There have historically been problems managing the needs of the indigenous community that continue today.
      But a petrol station and general store still operate and visitors are welcome.

      Thanks mate. I’m loving the AT. It suits me nicely. The NC is an excellent bike for the price.
      The AT is way more expensive but I can’t take it with me so may as well enjoy while I can.

    Good place to fly the drone. Do you fly manually.

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My drone is an old DJI Spark. It has a follow function but it can’t fly fast enough for very effective use.

    Hey Adrian I notice you are using a adventure helmet now. Are there any real benefits compared to the conventional? Also I really enjoy your channel. Cheers

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Adv helmet? For me the main advantage is the peak. It keeps the sun off my face - so less nose peel from sun burn.
      And when riding into the sun, a slight downward turn of the head shields the sun from my eyes.
      But the main reason to wear an adv helmet is to convince people I’m a real adv rider !

      @shanelamps6242 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AfricaTwin-Stuff Thanks for that. You've done a good job trying to look the part as a true adv rider.

    Havent seen your riding buddy on videos lately - why you leave her behind all the time 😅

      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ha! Thanks for asking. She isn’t into this silly “adventure riding” stuff. But still rides with me on road trips.

    The reason you stand on on ADV / Enduro / Dual sport riding is that you can see further down the road , like rocks , potholes etc . I realise the road were on wasn’t actually bad enough for that . Also when riding aggressively in the bush your hole body became an extension of your bike’s suspension and flicking it from side to side .

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Yep. You are correct. I spent 35 yrs riding aggressively in the bush. But I’m over that now and take it easy in my old age.
