    Interesting ride, quiet roads. Pity about the invasive plant species, seem to be everywhere. Nice narration as usual. Few more corners where I come from. I have a adv moto vid coming soon too.

      Thanks mate. I love riding out there. Hope to do a bit more before I’m physically incapable.

    Found your channel while looking at the NC stuff, just got back from a blast down to Felixstowe UK. All of 12 miles. Nothing like the miles you do but just as enjoyable. Love the vids buddy

    That was pretty cool just getting to see the national park since I know I'll never get to go there, thanks for filming! Interesting that they built a road that goes right through the dried lake.

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The lake has been dry for 100’s of years. But like all roads out there, when it rains the roads are impossible to drive on and are closed till they dry out.

    I am envious of your traffic, just got home from work and talk to my mate about going for an evening cruise north of Copenhagen, we agreed to wait until after 5 a clock, so the worst rush hour traffic have ended.

      Thanks mate. Yes, there are still nice empty places in Oz when away from the main cities.

    A great ride -- interesting to see that the Menindee to Wentworth road is now sealed.......

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. Sealed all the way. Great for road bikes to get the Menindee then Broken Hill from the south without encountering unsealed roads.

    Still love your video's, my NC DCT has virgin miles to your old one, but still love it, How do you find the DCT now you had the bike a while👍👍👍

      Thanks mate.
      DCT? Well, it’s a very nice novelty. For what I ride I certainly don’t need it.
      But I’m loving it just the same. It is so smart I rarely feel the need to take manual control.

    I'm just wondering if you carry spare fuel, just in case,. I didn't know paddy melons were poisonous. I just thought they tasted terrible when you forget to wash your hand and then accidently lick you fingers after picking one up. Thanks for the info.

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No extra fuel. My tank holds 24.8 ltrs which gives me a range of at least 500 km and I don’t push the limit.

    Hi, great trip! I have been meaning to ask, How did the Temu air pressure monitors go? Any good?
    Cheers, Ian

      I love the tyre pump. Performed brilliant and I also used it as a power bank to charge the phone.
      Didn’t need to charge the pump till I got home.
      I bought a semi rigid case for it ($8) that also stores my tubeless repair kit. So very happy.

      @@AfricaTwin-Stuff Cool, I'll have a look at them, how about the tyre pressure monitors?

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ianpickering6252 - tyre pressure monitor also performing nicely. Charge lasts for weeks and recharges in a very short time.

    Hi Adrian,
    cool story as allways, but something's bothering me:
    Are you really sure, you made the right decission whith the Africa Twin?
    That's not a technically based question (and the answer's none of my business). Up until Wendy got her Vulcan the two of you had quite similarly capable bikes and you did cool trips together which you seemed to enjoy (at least from half a world away). Then came the Vulcan. Cool looking but I never saw how it could possibly match your trip requirements. And I get the feeling that neither of you is too sure either, 'cause your trips changed since and Wendy faded out of your stories. And now with the Africa Twin the bikes's purposes have grown apart even further and suddenly you start telling that single trips are great ...
    It's really none of my business. I just felt, I should draw your attention to it. So, I hope I didn't cross a red line. If I did, I appologize.
    Safe trips!

      Fair question. Fortunately TH-cam is not a reflection of our riding life.
      The AT is an excellent road tourer. Wendy and I have done 10,000km together with her on the Vulcan and me on the AT.
      But our rides are just repeats of previously filmed rides so I haven’t filmed them.
      Wendy has never been keen on unsealed road riding whereas I have always ridden dirt bikes. So I wanted a bike that could do trios like the last one you viewed, before I’m physically incapable of doing them. So am loving the AT.
