How on earth do you only have 25k subs? There should be at least 2.5 million. You show such views, such routes, that I have to pick my jaw up off the floor. Bikepacking in Norway is a must-do thing that I want to do.
Another great video! I'm so happy that you, Matthew, have come to Norway and created all these amazing videos. Please stay here forever and keep making more!
Wow. Thank you thank you. I rode the Rallarvegen in Sept 2023 as part of a ~300 mile loop from Bergen and this film brought it all back for me. I'll be sharing this video with my biker friends here in the US!!
It's a fantastic destination, but don't count on good weather. Fjord Norway is one of the wetter regions in Europe, and cycling in its mountainous areas can be quite challenging in bad weather.
Thx for 5 star content. Your video is amazing and well-explained. i am a Norwegian living at the West Coast and know this are very well. I enjoyed watching this and am planning another trip to Rallarvegen next summer.
Great video, my father was from Flåm and when you stop by the warningsign before myrdal you can see the little trail leading to our old cabin. Brought back good memories. Thanks!
We have ridden the track this August, and it is the best trip I have ever had. Even though I broke a finger half-way, I finished it and have 0 regrets!. I almost cried watching the video 😂 Thank you for all the videos, Norway is amazing!
Fun fact about Finse... Or Hoth as some movie fans know it as, they filmed a few scenes of a movie there back in the days before CGI. They wanted a place with lots of snow and no visible signs of civilisation such as roads or telephone poles. They got enough snow... the train got stuck in the snow. A lot of the actors were locals, and some still have their costumes hanging on a wall. Fanitullen - The Devils own dance... When the Devil starts playing on the Harding fiddle, you can't stop dancing.
Thank you Matthew, a great video - again. I have bicycled parts of the route and can attest to the magnificent views and cycling experience. Watching your video brings back memories!
Awesome, It's a fantastic destination, but please don't count on good weather. Fjord Norway is one of the wetter regions in Europe, and cycling in its mountainous areas can be quite challenging in bad weather. Do your research and use my website to plan your trip well.
Funny, I planned that route just using Google Maps and Street View some years ago and now you filmed it. From Haugastol to Flam and after sleepover, up to Laerdal to Borgund and then north to Ovre Ardal where we sleep again. That's just two days of my two-week tour in Norway. Thanks, nice to see the places where we'll be cycling soon.
Great video! I have ridden the train, and driven and hiked through most of these areas shown in the video. Biking this route is now on my list. (After my next planned ride.)
gorgeous video, very well done!! Thank you for all this amazing service you have put forth, my family appreciates it and will make our visit to Norway much better!
Great to hear Jack, Norway is a fantastic destination, but don't count on good weather. Fjord Norway is one of the wetter regions in Europe, and cycling in its mountainous areas can be quite challenging in bad weather.
Kudos for going down Vindhellavegen. Rather you than me. Even walking down didn't exactly appeal to me. Video just can't capture how unbelievably steep it is.
I’ve just found your channel, and so glad I did. I really enjoy the way you have done your videos, a bit of history and amazing riding👍. New subscriber. I would say your videos are the best cycling videos I’ve found on TH-cam. Keep up the great work. I really want to go cycling in Norway now! 🚵🏻♂️
Hi Matthew, just found your channel and completely taken in with the routes in Norway. I'm based in the UK so would fly into Oslo. Do you have any recommendations for places to store a bike case while touring Norway or even a bike if considering multiple trips
Hey Matthew, I have a plan to do a route from Bergen to Kristiansand this year. I was wondering from what date it is safe to go and have no risk of the higher offroad passes are closed because of snow? Can you help me out? Many thanks 🙌 And love your movies🙌🙌
@@matthewnorway Cool! Kind of surprised by the bike they rent. I was thinking gravel or even mountain bike would be better. But thanks! Gonna examine this. Looks like the trip of a lifetime.
I don’t know, where you have got the talent from, but your videos are great, phenomenal, epic…you are probably the best ambassador for cycling in Norway than anyone else! I like the way you are telling a story, not only putting one picture behind the other! I am and will further be a great fan and faithful spectator and one day I will be cycling on one of your routes…🎉👍🚵🏻♂️
Thank you so much for these videos👏 You really inspire me to get on the bike and explore more. I feel so lucky to live close to this route. If you come back to Aurland (Nærøyfjorden) or Bergen, feel free to send me a message🤘 Happy new year! I wish you and yours the best ❤
Not even watched it yet but here we go the most under rated vlogger on TH-cam 🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Chapeau

🙌
Happy Christmas Matthew, thankyou for introducing me to Norway at its finest earlier this year 🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️🎄
Happy New Year, Andy! Nice to meet you this year and to show you a part of Norway!
Great stuff. Fanitullvegen is also a great link between Mjølkevegen and Rallarvegen :)
Good point!
Great video. I’ve ridden the route to Flam from Haugastol on four occasions. Now I know how to extend my ride. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
Another great fiil Mr Norway.
Hope you had a great Christmas - wishing you a super New Year.
Happy New Year Christopher!
Thanks. A wonderfully done travel video. I will never get there and I could not cycle the whole route you completed.
Fantastisk! You and your channel are fantastic. 👍

The sunlight is beautiful 🤩
Love the sign design :)
Always fantastic videos from you, Matthew. Nice extention of Rallarvegen. I have to do it.
Happy Christmas
thanks, and Happy New Year!
Another banger, Matthew! Why do I never get invited on these adventures anymore?
Because you're always in Spain, Italy, Taiwan...maybe next year.
I think it overlaps in part with the track of Mother North gravel event.
Yes, that's right. I was there at the start.

Fantastc! Don’t know what cycle first, Mjolkevegen or this :) Thanks.
Mjolkevegen, but there isn't a right answer here. It all depends on the weather and month.
We have something similar in Narvik.😀

Would there be somewhere to rent storage for bike case if I fly into Oslo?
WOW! That's insane. Are there any supported rides by any companies?
