They have to make the conflict out of nowhere, they make up a convoluted situation, and the character doesn't think the deer( the device and catalyst for the convoluted conflict to work), may be the one being eaten, because the cirmcunstances are needed to be convoluted, so there is conflict; all these things make you fake drama. They want the speech, but how you get to that speech(the context) is even more important, but The Walking dead doesn't regard this very often, that's why there are so many ninja zombies and mindless secondary and even main characters, so there is drama where there shouldn't be, so there are speeches were there shouldn't be.

The reason they didn't show us that Rick was hiding is because they wanted us to see it through Michonne's eyes to make the moment more profound. The show knows we're more intelligent than that.
the deer thing was not about fooling us. it was so "obvious" because it was supposed to be obvious to the audience. that scene was about michonne realizing how much she cares about rick, how emotionally vulnerable she has let herself become again. they were NOT trying to fool us.

also, that fake death/deer scene was supposed to reminds you of glenn i think. also, the roof caving in was a glenn call back, and them popping out of the car just like rick did in the tank when glenn saved him. the whole show had little reminders of glenn because rick also cant get him out of his head, that was why he didnt want to go back. my thoughts anyway.
Yeah I don't agree that they were doing another Glenn dumpster fake out with Rick. They were doing that to show the reaction on Michonne's face and it clearly shows that she doesn't want to live without him. Also from where she was standing she couldn't think of anything else apart from Rick's demise. Another good episode and reaction :)

Perhaps the "fakeout" would have been better if Rick had been shown slipping away, out of Michonne's sight, while Ghost Deer got eaten. Then it would be clear that it wasn't an attempt to mislead the audience.

On the Talking Dead they explained more about, also the clothing is all made from recycled trash like rubber & metal, I think that's pretty cool! I'm curious to see how it will go with all the different groups.

Then once Negan killed Spencer, Rosita emotionally responded by trying to shoot Negan and missed but had she shot Negan earlier she would have hit him and Olivia and Spencer may still be alive and Eugene may still be there.

They said they won't let them get captured alive so they said they'd kill each other or themselves before they get taken. Did you not see the last scene with them?

I said this before but think about it like this. Why do people talk differently when moving to Australia, or London, or Georgia, or Boston or Compton for that matter? Southern accents isn't exactly proper english either and people can assimilate into speaking a certain away in a matter of months. People assimilate differently in different cultures and people create their own cultures. People create their own slang and vocabularies all the time. You spend five years together, you develop your own type of rapport and culture amongst your group. I don't see them as them "forgetting" how to speak english. "Up up up" isn't them not knowing what a hill is. It's clearly in reference to a specific spot they refer too. It's not like she doesn't understand "proper english", she clearly understands everything that rick is saying. It's that they've developed their own sub culture, systems, and langue amongst themselves, and that foundation of that culture could very much be built on their leadership. Look at the kind of leader she is. She commands a certain level of respect at all times. That's bound to influence these people and their society. Maybe in their society, they project themselves, and taught themselves to speak less because they learn that less is more. There are many ways of looking at this and i don't think it's as crazy as people are making it out to be.

They killed off a bunch of characters and have been doing eps that focus on one or two charcaters and somehow there's no money in the effects departmant to make a convincing deer!? No shading and the cast shadow doesn't even line up.
I'll forgive lazy shitty writing to an extent but effects is something that can be done right. Fuck!
