- Hey, all. I am not, in fact, dead! I've decided to get back into the saddle and make a few videos to chronicle my preparations getting the MicroVAX ready for Vintage Computer Festival Midwest 16.

Maybe I miss something. But, why can't use a Max232 for mouse and keyboard? It's a 232 transceiver with 5v compliant. Ps2 is 5v. am I right?
Try losing the screws after you locate your hot glue gun for mounting these little boards in a slightly less labor intensive way.

A good way to force yourself to hear the things that come out of your own mouth is to write captions. And then your videos are also deaf/hard of hearing-friendly!

As a washed-up, never-was musician, that means a lot actually. I got the bug and spent Friday half-assing together an arrangement of another thing I've been playing with the last few weeks that's going to be showing up in the next video that I'll hopefully be posting tomorrow. So you've got that to look forward to

Yeah, that was rough. I'm definitely stripping it and carrying it piece by piece when it goes back upstairs. All assembled that sucker weighs at least 100lbs.
@@TrackZeroFutzin Yup, when you re-assemble it, check for dry and cracked solder joints on the big leads for power, that type of shock will crack larger joints. Do also ensure the Drives are never shocked like that again, for head crashing, and for cracking shock lugs on the housing. Great music, no matter what you say.
