Recently I watching some single board computer and itis a Indian company so can I buy this board can be delivered to my address??
Looks like another scam from our Indian company, last such scam I know was about smartphone for 500 or 1000 INR. Don't pay for money for pre-booking, always wait because such companies have habit of swindle off money collected in the name of pre-booking, such modulus operandi is old. Such system can't be manufactured for 500 INR and it is priced at such to attract gullible people to give the money that they won't see again. So, don't promote such stuff on your channel.
How to get free Raspberry Pi?
Make a review video 😂
@@nitinkumar29 You raised a valid point. Pre-booking is not all about swindling money, Pre-booking have many more benifits if you leave this malicious Intentions aside. Pre-booking helps greatly in marketing and initial stages like capturing the demand, prediction of future demand and adjustments to the pricing, identifying the issues at initial stages rather than fixing at later stage. Add timely delivery and you have the perfect recipe for the pre-booking
A practical SBC is not about hardware but about software support. This is the reason Raspberry Pi is so popular.
I agree. While I wish this board succeeds, I won't be surprised if it's completely forgotten after a while just like 100s of other SBCs.
@@snehanshourya3850 i am afraid this will happen, Indians are not known to be good community contributor
so true, upstreaming or keeping up with linux upstream is so important in sbc
True. There are chinese sbcs with higher specs and performance but software support is zilch
Software keliye hardware toh chie
The main reason behind the success of Rasberry Pi is their large community support as well as support from the company itself.....!! If Vicharak manages to do these kind support and community they can easily beat Rasberry Pi.....!!!
True
anything but Raspberry Pi are unsuccessful in that space because no one can beat the documentation + community around Raspberry Pi
you can build hardware but can't buy millions of people
And also include good marketing 😂
Some time back it was as same as Axon aka Vicharak today!! And yes, really impressed to know BHARAT is now making such products at home. noted.
Raspberry Pi is so awesome not because of its hardware capability but because of its big active community. You can find many drivers, libraries, and support for RPi easily. Previously also many good and better hardware platforms have come up but they were not able to compete with Rpi because of this. I Hope the Axon board will be able to create a good community.
@@sauravbehera8364 that's why we have to come up and so are response dog some work about and support this company
For the winning of this company we the people have to support this company and also do some work around it and then it would be the main computer of raspberry Pi
haan toh support karo. bithcing karne se kya hoga.
glad to see it. I have been working in robotics and I know the pain of not having good SBC. will definitely buy it soon and use in my projects.
does this look good for the price?
@@GareebScientist Justified Price 13-15k
@@GareebScientist As per now, it seems good. And I think, once they will go production level and that too on mass, price would come down to around 10k. Also, if they want people to buy it, they will have to release the OS image.
We have some older raspberry pi boards which is used for on board machine learning using raw and continuous data, and most of the time they hit bottlenecks. This surely looks promising
Namaskaar sir, I'm also interested in in robotics, can you tell me how do I start?
Although, I have a very small experience with Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pie Zero 2w but couldn't make much progress, but now I want to work with real things. Plz, can you help🙏
@@GareebScientist definitely price is a bit higher than other boards but it all depends, I have used navigation for mobile robots on raspberry pi and sometimes its computation power sucks. If this new board is able to handle these it will definitely be a promising robotics application. And price will also come down a bit in future since they have to compete with raspberry pi and other boards
You covers those scientific advancement in INDIA which other TH-camrs and especially Indian Media fails to do so.
Hatsoff for your valuable efforts
keep going🧡🧡🧡🧡
This "Gareeb scientist" chap seems to be deleting my comments. This board is not from india. It is the exact same board as Rock 5 Model B from Radxa - a chinese company. Look up the board and see it.

@@pkphilips2 This boards is being made in india, the board you mentioned(Rock 5 model B) has the same chip but that's about it. board makers don't have much difference when it comes to designs as that is dictated by the chip on board, being made in india will make it cheaper for local market.

Such a cool product from an Indian company. Wish them all the success.
This would actually be a really good dev server for handling your web apps or even a simple home automation system.
Ha home automation plus practice
Instead of renting a vm to learn about code deployments, load testing etc, this would be a cheaper Power effecient mini pc
Guys we are the people who can create a community that can help support this product. Japan has had many local products supported by the Japanese initiallyand many of them are now popular worldwide. Agar hum bahar walo ke validation and support ke liye wait karenge to wo kabhi nahi aaega. Chinese SBCs ka special disadvantage ye tha ki bhut saare documentation and support forums chinese me the.
This board has been in my radar for some time. I wish more people will buy and we can have a homegrown product with good support and availability.
for that, we need a pcb fab in india where we can send our designs and manufacture 5 pcbs in less than rs. 500, like jlcpcb. also, we need components supplier like rtc, bms, etc. we can start by developing cheap, designed and manufactured in india microcontroller development kits like arduino for less than rs. 500. its possible because mcu's like atmega only cost around $2. then the chain reaction will start, and we will be building our own sbcs, mobile phones, electronic appliances in no time.. hardware is not harder than software, its just that its inaccessible in india.
The point about the documentation being in other languages is so true.
I am working on a project right now where we are using a Taiwanese development board. It is not exactly an sbc because it is supposed to be used more like a peripheral device from which u can use USB or uart communication. Been at it for about 2 months now. Could not read the documents initially because everything was in simplified Chinese. Wasted two weeks in the beginning like this. The project stalled almost completely.
It was only after the translated version arrived that I was able to understand exactly what to do and realized how simple the process was.
Well, for one thing this is not a.board.designed or made in india. The board is from Radxa - a chinese company
Glad to see my city develop a lot, for a tier 2 city
Surat is gonna be a serious competitor to all tier 2 cities in a decade. It's the fastest growing city economy in India, and ranks in the top 10 fastest growing cities globally. What is SBC ?
@@shivaprasad968 single board computer, like the Raspberry pi
Seems very interesting and glad to know that my country is gaining power gradually in the electronics industry.
I work with Raspberry Pi and tried all versions of it. The Raspberry Pi 4 is the most popular so far because of wide software and community support. I did try Raspberry Pi 5. The hardwares are upgraded but it lags in terms of software support.
So, I hope the company Bicharak will launch the final product with the wide variety of software support, so that it can beat R pi
Nice review, well covered. Good to see a locally made/ assembled SBC. Price should work out to about 14,000 INR (500 pre booking + ₹11,599+ GST) from their website. Fair for the specifications.
I am happy to see we getting to this part of tech.
Good to see indian company, now i will try this board
Amazing work for the hardware development of the segments.. so proud to see the Bharatiya design. Thank you for sharing the product details..
Awesome, Now I want to try it, build my own PC. There's a great business opportunity if someone starts assembling all homegrown parts to build a fully Indian laptops which can be sold at relatively low prices.
Ngl, cheap laptops with ARM processors would be really cool. And if they put rk3588 inside, it would be a beast.
The innovation going on in India is unreal!!!! 💪🇮🇳❤️
i wasnt expecting a SBC so soon, pleasently surpirsed

Really Nice Stuff, Takes a lot to create something like this and at this level specially in India. Couple of things, price seems to be on higher side specially when you compete with RPI, start build Community, hire freelancers to write some application and/or drivers to provide initial support. If you have made an hardware you have already won 90% of the fight.

Bhai.. bahot hi sahi chiz karr rahe ho aap
There are 2 problem with this SBC, namely:
1. Software support: Rockchip usually dont have good Linux kernel support. For that matter none of the ARM SOCs have good support except for RPi. There is no Widevine support if you wish to use it as a low power desktop and watch Netflix or PrimeVideo.
2. Cost: For 12000/- you can get a 5-6 gen Intel CPU with board, RAM to use as NAS or desktop with better software support. For 6k more you can get a 12th gen with 8GB RAM and 256GB NvME SSD which without RAM or storage will cost you 13000.
It doesnt make sense for any group of enthusiasts
Agree with first point but don't think anyone buys sbc to replace pc
@@AffectionateBeignets-mx2qdagreed but no one buys a 12000 rs sbc just to create a cool project with. There are better and cheaper options for that.
@@AffectionateBeignets-mx2qd there are some applications where SBC is better suited, like standalone CNC controller
@@SushanthSomayaji mini-pcs dosen't have GPIO pins, or the csi/dsi connectors. mini pcs are basically "mini pc" with only usb ports. sbc are normally for IoT projects which involves sensors, actuators, etc. and this board is a big win with so many io options at a relatively good price. however, its hard to judge the board at beta phase. i think the price is going to increase when it gets officially released.😅
This won't be the case anymore as the mainline kernel has the support for rk3588. It may not be fully ready yet but pretty much usable since 6.7. I am running my orange pi 5 (rk3588 and rk3588s) SBCs on 6.7 - 6.11-rc1 as servers and they are working just fine. GPU, HDMI and HW decoders would be fully functional by next year (By that time AXON would be available for regular purchase).
16K Rs is expensive. I would rather run an old core2duo instead of this which is available at 3K Rs used.
But I am happy Indians have started working on SBCs.
Over time core2duo would cost more due to Power consumption. This idle is 5-4ws with way more power then a core 2 duo. Plus space,
Believe me using a core2duo would be a very bad experience in 2024. I had a core2duo pc lying around in my home so I built a home server using it. 2x2TB Sata SSD in raid and I'm using OpenMediaVault for the OS. The file transfer speed is okayish (connected directly to my router with a gigabit connection) but you can't do much on it though the most I could do was run some containers like photoprism and jellyfin. Also the worst part was that it idled around 30W !!!!
@@akshat8586 It depends on the application actually. I think a small database would run fine with duckdb or QuestDB which are light weight & fast. It can also serve as long term backup machine. I am running two machines with ZFS RaidZ2 using G2030 CPU, runs totally fine as a backup server. I can also easily turn it into a CUDA test machine with a 4090 in it. I also can turn it into a Monitoring/Reporting server and it will do that job fully well. For these kinds of work I think 30W is not a big price to pay at all. These are ideas to make use of old hardware instead of spending 16K on a SBC, but if you have money to throw around a newer machine is always better though.
@@GareebScientist 2K for C2D. The remaining 14K for electricity bill for next 10 years🤣 C2D fits easily under my table/cot/attic so space is a madeup trivial problem. And it runs all X86 code easily. Ultimately 16K is too much for an SBC in India.
I already bought 2 Orange Pi 5 Plus and 2 Orange Pi 5 last year with heavy customs.
And this is just 11k with same processor and probably more IO and port options. I feel ripped, bruh. 😢
But finally, someone has taken the step to make SBCs in India. Looking forward to the bright future ahead. I would still buy one when it gets out.
Damn, how much you paid ft orange pi with customs
@@GareebScientist Around 22k for OrangePi 5@16gb unit and well over 30k for OrangePi 5 Plus@16gb unit. I even bought one of their 256gb eMMC that doesn't even fit properly.
Now compared to that even with Axon@8gb base varient it has a 32gb eMMC, all at around 12k.
15 - 16000 is very good considering the big.little arch, throughput of 3 USB-Cs, NVME slot and HDMI pass-through. I hope the exposed pins are hooked up to a few SPI, I2C and interrupt/DMA controllers along with the UART you mentioned. I will buy one when it hits the market.
As Indian companies are getting into hardware, we should also be concerned with privacy. As these gain more popularity, our government will also try to make them add backdoors and force them into performing all kinds of surveillances. I can see that modded kernel is open source, and we should make sure it stays that way.
Wow! Thanks for sharing.
RK3588 is a good chip one league above raspberry pi. I was dependent on Rock5b. Its great to see Indian maker of SBC. The price I believe should go down furthur once we Indians use it. Great work.....❤❤❤
How is this different from Rock 5B? This is the exact same board, if I am not wrong
Amazing, amazing news. Beauty is its 15k ₹, which for a first gen product is pretty competitive for the features
I have started to use rockchip based android tv boxes and install linux (armbian) on it. For around ₹2000, it is a very good Raspberry Pi alternative unless you need camera and gpio access. Some boards come with just 1GB of RAM, however some have true 4GB RAM which is more than sufficient for network based projects and IoT applications
Awesome, can you tell me which Android box you are using and with which Arabian image? Bruh, I want a TV box to run linux too.
@@earth2k66 I am currently using Tx9 pro which has RK3229 chipset. I don't remember which version of armbian I have installed but it works without any issue. You can also use H96 max tv boxes which have 4GB ram (from aliexpress or banggood)

About this product, as you pointed out this is great for robotics project. This board is trying to become everything. I will prefer to use it for testing or tinkering but using it for one single purpose does not make sense mainly due to price and what it offers. For eg. First I found this video boring, but when I started It hooked me 😊
looking at the kind of softpower that india has across the globe if india uses it right then as metric system from west became the standard, INDIA can make this a standard
I haven't heard of this board yet, but I hope it becomes a success. As for the price, it is comparable to Radxa Rock 5A (Radxa is available for 7.5k + shipping and tax from arace) but I guess costlier than Orange pi 5 plus (Orange pi 5 plus is 99$, comes to about 14k with shipping and taxes) but Orange pi has a better SOC (rk 3588 has more pci lanes than rk 3588s). Best part is, both rk 3588 and rk 3588s are getting linux mainline kernel support, so hopefully no proprietary drivers and patches needed. The multimedia capabilities are excellent (4k 30 hevc and avc encoding, 8k 30 hevc, vp9 and avc decoding). This is the main difference between raspberry pi 5 and this SOC. Pi 5 doesn't even have avc decoder and depends on CPU for it. None of the raspberry pis have hevc encoding support. So for anyone having projects involving remote video acquisition and transmission, this SOC is far superior than Raspberry pi alternatives.
Fair fair. Problem is orange plus taxes and shipping you also might end up paying heavy customs. Which you see soke people have payed in comments
@@GareebScientist i have rock pi 5a and I costed me 9~10k on discount on chinese new year ordered from arace. I have ordered multiple products from rs components and they have a warehouse in noida and ships from UK.
It's not easy to kill the Pi, certainly not just with hardware. There are many SBCs that are cheaper and more powerful than the Pi, but the Pi still manages to outsell them. Why? Because of its amazing software support and great online forum. Pretty much anything simple you would want to do with it has already been done by someone else, and there will most likely be a guide online with step-by-step instructions. If anyone is interested, go and watch Jeff Geerling's video on this topic; he goes into much more detail.
And speaking of this board, why is it running a RockChip processor??? which is a Chinese company
Everything that board have is made in china or Taiwan ... India doesn't have semiconductor manufacturing capabilities till now
Raspberry Pi is basically shooting it's foot at the moment, it's poor supply chain management.
To think of it, it was even allowed to grow because there wasn't any competition when first RPi was launched.
✨खूप छान Sir✨Thank you, Sir 🙏✨
It's really good to see Indian products focused on selling for good quality and not by selling through the Made in India sentiment

Absolutely, Raspberry Pi has large community but there price range starts from 3500/- in Hand in India including all taxes and all. there B+ 3 model has good features. Axon price are too much. If they can manage that type of large community then it can work.
We want more deep tech videos in computation space
I would definitely buy one once comes in production
Good start, kindly make more variants to get to a price of 4 to 5k INR.
Really hard with this SOC.
Price tag is show stopper. SBCs are not rocket science these days. Unless they have plenty of funds and start making in a SoC like Rpi, the price may not be suitable for many as there are plenty of alternate options. Also I found there are lot of free space on the board, PCB Design needs lot of optimisations.
