This was a great base! I usually don't find skyblock bases at all interesting to look at, but you really varied things well! Most importantly, it wasn't just one flat platform.

If I had to do a list of 5 mods that definitely made this series, i would say Laser IO, Integrated Dynamics and addons, the new AE2, Create and Mekanism. Also i liked a lot the Integrated dynamics systems, they're so underrated.
    P. S. Botania is a TECH mod

imo they need to combine some items in Itengrated Dynamics. It's just too tiresome to work with the 40 different items in my inventory. Also the crafting terminal is trash.

This series got me to beg and plead with my friend who compiles the modpack for our friends/family group to include LaserIO, so +1 for it being an astoundingly good mod. :D I'm very happy you shared this series and your previous ones with us, and I'm excited for where you take us next!

Inferno is the series got me here, this channel is definitely a treasure to me, I really loved how to build the base the way you have, I always struggle to set up a base in a proper way, it would be great if you can make a video talking about what idea you had in mind when you are building a base (tips/dos&don'ts), maybe going through your old playthrough, to see how you have progressed. I think this kind of content is really not much in TH-cam.
My experience on modded MC is not much, only completed few packs on a self-hosted server with friends, I do wish you will have an in-depth AE2 tutorial as well, I know there are many videos on AE2 already, but you already have a whole base set up, which addressed the issue that most of the tutorial had, lack of actual use case.
I hope more people will find out this channel, great work!

LaserIO is also my favorite 1.18 mod. After seeing other resource transportation methods, laserio is by far the best way to manage things. It still needs improvements like mekanism gas support, covers/facades, but I see a bright future for it

  • @GlitchedVision

tbh I got spoiled by botany pots in 1.16, and with both it and bonsei pots now on 1.18 I wish they would have added at least one of those two mods to make crop automation just a bit faster. tbh botany pot with insanium soil could have probably grown ATM seeds at a reasonable rate. Unfortunately this is just about the only traditional style skyblock pack currently in 1.18 that doesn't force create early game, so I'm sort of stuck with it unless I feel like adding mods lol

    • @GlitchedVision
      @GlitchedVision 2 ปีที่แล้ว

for reference, I enjoy playing create about as much as I would enjoy having a bullet lodged in my brain, but I do enjoy seeing what other people do with it lol. I personally avoid mods that make things more complicated simply for the purposes of making them complicated, thus why I also don't like AE2's channel system, so I was forced to learn integrated tunnels and integrated terminals for my storage network needs.

You can use thermal's phytogenic insolators to grow trees and crops, they don't work for everything though and they do take quite some RF early game depending on how many upgrades you give them

I really loved this series. the reason I got here is that I found a video of your Inferno playthrough and watched it all. then I got here and finished the entire series in a day. I really liked the way you played through the pack and also the block choice of your base is really nice imo. I do hope you make a video abt AE2 someday because you did a lot of things i didn't quite understand and also i don't really know how to properly use p2p and subnets. i know there are videos on it but they arent that helpful. anyways i loved the content and i hope you'll upload more of this quality 👌 :D

I'm playing through the pack now. Good few weeks behind you. Current versions have laser mining for Alltheores. Still think I'll need to use mystical ag to get the quantities needed.
LaserIO does most of what EnderIO transport/conduits could do. Dire should add in teleport cards, that would be op!
Most EnderIO machines have near equivalents in other mods, Mekanism and Thermal etc.

I felt it was to easy. The pack i played previously was NTC2, and our team finished that, and then this is just a breeze in comparison. Most of your points were valid. Ender IO is a must to return, and thaumcraft, whilst i do not enjoy its research mechanic, is a great magic/tech mod. The quest mod is utter crap. It doesn't remember if you completed something ahead of time forcing you to re-craft piles of stuff just for completionist sake. Its a good starter pack, but its far to easy to progress, get a big reactor, have oodles of RF and then to rush to the end. It needs a expert mode, and a kappa mode, and then i'm sure, it will still feel like a breeze compared to NTC2.

I'm not personally a fan of Ender IO. always found it too OP and to UI heavy. I prefeer the simplicity and building constraint of something like the mechanism pipes or even more rudimentary systems like the immersive engineering conveyors or even the vanilla style water currents for item transport. I'm also partial to sided machines. figuring out how to make something look good while having to access particular sides of it is part of the puzzle for me.
But i'm a bit old school. I was there when buildcraft released the first version and only had a few pipes and a quarry. There wasn't even a power system and the machines worked by inputing a redstone clock into them. making one operation every time the signal went from off to on.

I havent completed the modpack yet i still need some items like all the netherite (no emc run too) and anti matter used in the ATM star, but my experiences we're great and used a lot of mods i never used such as the inventory manager from ID almost all the playthrough until the world couldn't handle the lag that makes for me, in my opinion rn the previous version (ATM6TTS) is better of course because has more refined mods and a pretty decent quest book, so agree the modpack needa some improvement, but the ATM team will probably do a great job as always in a couple of months
