I like the ideas that Winter eventually came for King's Landing but it wouldn't work because they have to invade the North first, then maybe a big battle at the Neck. When the river is frozen then The Reach and The Vale will have to fall in order for the white walkers reach King's landing.

At the end of the day, I get that D&D wanted to leave to do other creative projects - it is not unheard of for showrunners to leave tv shows and new showrunners to step in. And that is what should of happened! My understanding is HBO would've been happy to let someone else take over, but D&D didn't want that to happen, and that's absolute bullshit. They wanted all the glory without putting all the work in, and they rushed out those last two seasons like a bad trip to the toilet.
Put it this way, if a show’s writer announces he’s cutting off internet access for the day, and stockpiling on booze 🥃 24 hours before the finale, that should be a red flag 🚩
Them or whoever took over would have gotten screw. GRRM hasn't finished the damn books. Imagine you've been given a roadmap to your destination and after 5/7 of the way there it's like figure it out so you end up here by the end. He has put out a book since before the show began. I think the fact that some seasons were taking 2 years is just burnout
What in the hell were D&D thinking? I need like a 10-part documentary explain to me how in the hell such an exceptional show could turn into what it did. Maybe in 10 or 15 years we'll get the real inside scoop on what the heck was really going on behind the scenes.
I remain STUNNED that NOBODY- not wives/partners/ actors/ investors/ friends/ mentors? no one no body could advise D&D to hand this off to someone else?? As Tyrion said to Tommen; * What makes a king “good”? A king who is good _listens_ to his council!!!
I believe Dan or Dave stated on Twitter that D&D were cutting off internet access and stocking up on booze for watching the finale…24 hours before the finale aired. Can we say “Red Flag” boys and girls ? I knew you could
After second season ended I used to rewatch all game of thrones seasons every year before the new season started. I also reread the books a couple of times. I loved this series so much. But after season 8 I haven't watched a single episode of GoT. It got totally ruined for me and it makes me so sad to think what could have happened. Probably still need a few years before rewatching the first four seasons.
EXACT SAME. Every year the rewatch grew but it was always worth it… never ever have I rewatched s8. I love the books but it’s so much to consume I want to be sure Winds is coming before I start my re-read… meaning the last and 2nd re-read I did was 6 years ago in 2018. I legit might die with no more GoT in my life lol.
The fact these two are even allowed to continue making movies/shows is a disgrace, they should've been tried for treason (with Joffrey deciding their fate) for how they butchered the cultural phenomenon that thrones was. I mean just imagine how absolutely amazing the series could've been from start to finish if they were even half as passionate about the show as the fans were. I'm not even that mad with how the story played out, just how they rushed it so much the plot points didn't feel fulfilling.
I was mad at the rushing AND the bulk of the endings . So many story arcs destroyed . I think if I had watched the movies and they had been worse than S8 I would have imploded , S8 was torture enough
Bruh, wtf are you on about? Like, have you seen some of the stuff that's been released in the last 5 years? Live action Cowboy Bebop? Morbius and Madam Web? If the people who made these things are still in the industry, which they are, then wtf are we talking about here?
Joffrey: "In the name of the Seven, I hereby find you guilty of treason and sentence you to a maiming for life. Would you rather lose your hands or your tongues?" D&D: "P-please, have mercy..." Joffrey: "Ser Ilyn, take their balls."
I can't believe anyone wants to hear anything Dan and Dave have to say about anything after what they produced the last few seasons of GOT. I'm surprised they even have a job. Movies would have obviously been worse than what we got, but there is no going below zero, so it probably wouldn't have made any difference.
Put the blame where it belongs. Martin had seven years to finish the final book but he was too busy playing celebrity. He STILL hasn't finished it in fact. The show ran out of source material for the finish!
Agreed. By the time the book finally comes out, I am probably not going to be the only one who will have lost interest anyway, and I feel like we've been played for his fame.
They stopped adapting his books after book 3. I’m suspicious if they had taken their time to adapt books 4 and 5, GRRM may have magically found the inspiration he needed to get that last book out or write the final seasons in conjunction with them.
Its the TELEVISON SERIES not movies. Having a long lasting series is rare and rewarding in ideas to really hit. What we got is bad but planning to change a format is like they hated making this show. I would rather the show was longer with more character development and LOGICAL plot. Would be lovely if they werent afraid of the fantasy elements as well. I guess its too much to ask for but it would do wonders to the show.
Battlestar Galactica and Lost used webisodes to great effect. But they were used to fill out corners of their settings that the main show had no space for. Not as a substitute for the actual hour long TV programs!
@@meawiyaothman7872yeah honestly. If they weren’t going to make an as accurate as possible version of the show, season 5 and 6 were still mostly solid. If they were always going to take out Faegon, then I can’t fault those two that much. But 7 and 8 were inexcusable no matter how much they had to trim from the source material.
@@craigturner6565 At some point, you can only stretch a deadline so far. IMHO, George R.R. should have looked at D&D’s pitch, and said “sorry, no dice”. We wouldn’t have gotten a Game of Thrones show, but it would have saved a whole bunch of headaches
I personally agree with you, I don’t like the idea of Benioff & Weiss thinking the last few seasons of Game Of Thrones would be mini movies after Season 6, but I think who I even trust more is: the Duffer Brothers in Stranger Things and George R.R. Martin himself
They are desperate to get back on the good side of the fans (especially with their new show coming out) but they still fail to realise that every time they open their mouth they make it worse. I still remember that BTS of episode 8x04 I believe where one of them was like "oh Dany just forgot that Euron had his fleet". Uh, no, Dany didn't forget, it's obvious YOU forgot you morons.🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I have held off on my criticisms of these producers for a really long time, mostly because I just wanted to see the story. The ending was horrible but I assumed I was being greedy because how often does something like this actually come along? Never. Was it budget? Time constraints? Nope, they got bored. Lesson learned. Will never watch anything they produce again. That said, thanks for the videos you do! The community of people who love these things eventually get what they want but not from the commercial channels but from those who love it too-- Blessings of the Seven Upon You.
if they wanted to leave so badly why didn't they just leave and give the job to someone else what they did was selfish, and they deserve all the critisism
That would be have been a train wreck. 13 episodes already wasn't nearly enough. Had they stuck to their original plan with HBO, they'd have done 10 season with 10 episodes each. That would have been 27 additional episodes with which to properly wrap up plots, character arcs, etc. It would've been so much better.
Ya know, thinking about it, there's probably only about 6 hours of real material in the final two seasons. Chess pieces were set, the flashpoint was there, and all that was really left were some loose ends ready to get singed closed in a really big fight. I hate what happened with seasons 7 and 8, but maybe (just *maybe*) some of the awfulness really did come from dragging it out.
4 movie remake would actually be good. Movie 1. The setup, Jon brings everyone together. Movie 2. Long night. Movie 3. Dany brutally murders Varus, Cercei and Jamie. Movie 4. Fallout of that, a proper epilogue to setup the next movie.
So why would Dany have to descend into madness? Just because there was a mad king doesn't mean there had to be a mad queen. She could broken through and become a liberator for the entire world and someone like John or whomever could sat on the throne. Yeah I know too simple.😢
I now wished the Night King would have completely overrun the continent of Westeros and only a few key characters survive by fleeing to Essos. The entire future of that world is left in question. Now that is how you completely subvert fan expectations and end it with a bad but plausible ending.
Shows are really the ideal format to put any visual story in. An episode is typically long enough to carry a plot well without feeling like too much sitting, which many movie watchers have a problem with in 2-hour sittings. They also provide the convenience of watching the number of episodes that fits an individual's schedule best, and have far more time in which to fill out a story without it necessarily feeling longer. To make it even better, a show can really take it's time building a lot more depth to characters and worlds, where a movie just has to be carefully planned to be fully self-contained in what's happening in what rarely goes far past 2 hours. The length and time distribution of shows compared to movies or even "mini-episodes" is just too much of an improvement to be a fair comparison. A movie can still be great and all, but most of the best stories in film are shows due to just how much they can put into it. The ceiling for quality is drastically higher.
I worked for AT&T for 15.5 years. Brilliant ideas are NOT their forte. I honestly kept thinking that Scott Adams must have worked there as well. Dilbert was basically a documentary of AT&T.
6 hours of torture sounds better than 13 hours of torture lol. All they would have done is the same sorry, and took out all the horrible filler. Like when Tyrion walked across the burned Kings Landing for 15 minutes lol.
I used to have so many fantasies about this show. The craziest part is that during the off time... When there would be so much speculation about what would happen or what might happen. That actually ended up being better than the real show!! The what if scenarios... The show has so much potential... So much!! I was so excited to see King's landing get invaded by the white walkers. I saw the huge siege in my head!! I imagined season 8 being 30 episodes long!! That is not what we got.
It’s crazy to me how well they did at picking the music, casting, battle scenes, dialog, etc. then when it came to writing post-GRRM’s material they had the ability of your average toddler.
Jon Snow and Dany are made for each other. Literally Ice and Fire. They should rule together, give us a happy ending ffs. Aegon IV Targaryen should be King, Tyrion hand of the king, and finally Dany his wife Queen. Rhaegal and Drogon both live, and Jon's and Dany's son gets a dragon egg and secures the next generation of the kingdom. The wheel stays broken, no more slaves, no more injustice. They would rule for the people and be the shield for the realm of men. That is the perfect ending for me.
I still can’t believe what they did to that show. It was the greatest entertainment vehicle of all time. It had everything. They already had the lore. The world was built. They had fantastic characters with developed character arch. They just disregarded it all. It was such a disappointment. Their show Three Body Problem has a pretty cool premise. I don’t think I’ll watch it though because I just don’t trust those two.
While I didn't hate the last season of the show, I do agree that it was rushed. The basic premise of the ending I thought was OK, but I thought it was poorly executed. It could have been so much better, I agree with that.
I’ve always been on the “I don’t hate how it turned out, but that was WAY too rushed and not fleshed out” boat. I think the majority of the endings would’ve been a little more understandable with the correct amount of time & care put into the landing of the plane. But alas!
Yeah the bones of the ending are good, and probably how the books will end - which is why, book purist I am, that I like it. The development was too quick however and due to things from the books they omitted, a lot of the ending doesn't make much sense.
SAME. The last season was so underdeveloped and rushed. I still remember when someone on social media leaked the major plot points in the last season before it was released. While most of it were acceptable and actually made sense (at least to me, having read the books), the dialogue quality noticeably declined as compared to the earlier seasons.
It needed a feature length back story on the rise of the night king and his reasons for marching on the south, his true loves remains being entombed at Winterfell...turning the villain arc on its head.
We should have been looking forward to the final season by now , one which JON SNOW takes out the night king after a multi-season white walker invasion . The only good thing that came from S8 was that it cost DandD a fortune and that Star Wars contract
Game of thrones was the series every one wanted too watch on the day it aired to not get spoiled the next day or even a few minutes after the episode ended . It didn't need any mini episode but maybe a minie series about Robert Rebellion would have been nice
They could do 5 minuite anthology videos for street soldiers/minor houses pov for all the rushed battles like the prologue pov set ups to the books. And film 25-30 of those. Dorne, Brotherhood without banners, Bells battle, Golden company, Euron,Reach houses, iron bank, Varus, LF would have benefited a lot from that.
yeah, inconsequential bonus stuff which wouldn't need a lot of involvement from the whole writer team and could be done at least partially during down-time could be nice. Maybe sprinkle them out in between episodes or seasons or something.
It seems like the writers stopped caring about the show altogether in the last couple of seasons. At that point, they should have given it over to someone else, and I don’t understand why they didn’t. I also don’t understand why the execs at HBO allowed the show to end so much sooner than it should have, and in such an unsatisfactory way. It was so popular you’d think they would want to make more seasons out of it, if only to get more profit from it.
I am just now watching season 8. I have so enjoyed benge watching each hour long segment. I have watched hours of interviews with the different actors from Game of Thrones on You tube videos. i have really enjoyed this show. I will hate to see it end. but I am glad I got to see more segments, instead of just 3 long two hour shows. you did a good job of reporting on how it got made. thanks.
They should have stopped at season 5 and told George we’ll start up again after you release the next book which might give us another couple seasons and then we’ll stop again until the last book comes out. Maybe that would motivate him.
The three body problem is one of the coolest sci fi stories ever written. I pray to god they don’t absolutely butcher it. I had no idea that was the show they were making on Netflix. I’m heartbroken 😂
@@chaosiscoming9184 no but many of them have move on too something else, and if they were available it would still make no sens to remake a hole new season 8,we cant just erase what we saw got from our mind sadly, for me the best solution if they wanted to salvage something from this mess is to make a movie where we discover that the night king didnt really die but he is still there inside bran du to the mark he left on him ,just like sauron and the ring if you want ,and from that go whit a final mysterie to solve by our beloved characters
Ok. It’s a bit of an assumption to say 3 movies would have been 6 hours. Think about Lord of the Rings. Each movie is 4 hours plus which would have made GoT 12 hours if they had followed that template, just one hour less than the series. However, which ever way they had done it still would have had the same problems. It needed another series as we all know.
My theory is that the ending of GoT is how GRRM wanted to end the series but he wasn't sure if he liked it so he tried it on the show first. When the fans didn't like it, he backtracked, which is why the books are taking even longer to release.
this is a legit and well known theory, but thing is, the show's ending, meaning Dany burning King's Landing down, Wight Walkers are fought in Winterfell and Bran on the throne are things which most people could absolutely live with IF THEY ARE PROPERLY EXPLAINED AND WRITTEN
Sounds like they just wanted to do movies. I would of respected them a lot more if they just told HBO they we're tired of writing this and they didn't want to produce below quality episodes. A clean cut is better then what they did.
I gotta be honest, I’m so sick of people complaining about Dany going mad. That was probably the only realistic thing that happened. Not only was her dad mad, she was arrogant and blinded by her sense of entitlement to the throne. What was completely butchered was Jon refusing to take the throne, after he spent 8 seasons going from an ashamed bastard to a reluctant leader who chose to lead because he wanted what was truly best for the people. Then they throw him back over the wall, completely ignoring the several subplots involving Jon, most notably him being the true heir to the iron throne. Not to mention him being resurrected from the dead. The fact that NOTHING was done with those two things made the entire show a bit pointless, especially when you consider how much of the show centered around those two storylines. Then there’s how easily defeated the white walkers were in the end, I mean what happened to the ice dragon, what happened to the sheer terror the dead were suppose to bring? Instead with one swift move it’s Arya, not Jon, the Night King’s series long formidable foe, that defeats him?? I mean this is a lesson in tanking character development in 60 seconds.
Cinematically, I don't think there was much wrong & it was stylishly done in episodes. I kinda foresaw that you could only conclude such a sweeping vista & panorama of a show by burning it all down, including the Iron Throne. It is what the Romans did with Kings in the end: they're too despotic and irredeemable to continue. It is a "Song of Ice and Fire" and so ice & fire had to both recede in the winter of the Long Night before spring could bloom. *My one sadness is how they betrayed Daenerys as a character, but perhaps that is the tragedy of playing the Game of Thrones? You either win or you die as Cersei said. She couldn't win in Westeros as she had in Essos like a beloved liberator and breaker of chains. The series ended as how it began in Season 1 with House Stark and the next generation trying to do better than their forefathers.
Meh, I think the complaint about a theatrical trilogy film is insane. Lord of the Rings is probably one of the hardest source materials to pull off and was done successfully. GOT could have absolutely been completed in a 3 movie trilogy. And you’re assuming each film would have been 2 hours long, LOTR uncut is like 3-4 hours long. The issue with GOT season 8 isnt so much that it felt rushed, it’s that they completely tanked key storylines like the Prince that was promised and introduced a bizarre twist that saw Jon in exile and bran on the throne. The show didn’t feel rushed, it felt like they got a whole new set of producers who never saw the first 7 seasons and came in and did a completely new show.
I really don't think the blond queen had any good reason to go mad. She had many years and tribulations to prepare herself. Or are we just gonna blame biology?- Seems an easy way out.
She didn't. Her turn to madness made no sense in the show. Her hurting innocent civilians stood against every single action she's taken in the show. She was always about saving innocent people's lives and not hurt civilians during her quest.
This issue is so complex. I think actors wanted to be done, ATT tried to take over, no more source material, Dave and Dan loosing their touch all contributed
but that whats makes game of thrones, game of thrones there's actual consequences to actions and characters you once hate can become characters you love later also killing every main character would've been so much better as long as it made sense like cersei getting killed by bricks really let me ask you this would you rather see again for the first time brick death or cersei watching her family being torn limb from limb from the dead as she helplessly watches cause she ignored jon and danys warning your gonna tell me brick death is better then that ? gtfo
George could have just finished the damn books. I'm just sayin'. What is the opposite of "rushing" the ending. We don't really know how to compare B & W 's ending because we still don't have the real ending. As much as B&W f'd this up, George did as well.
I just got done with a re-watch of the entire GOT series. One of the biggest things I noticed was that Daneris' decent is actually not sudden, she actually shows authoritarian and fascist behavior very early on. She's always wanting to do the fascist thing, while being counseled out of it by Jorah, Selmy, and others. She's power hungry and will accept nothing less than being the supreme leader. People just didn't realize it because she's pretty, and because the people she started out butchering were bad men.
No, it was absolutly sudden. In the books perhaps if that is the road that will be taken by George then it won't be sudden there, but in the tv show it did not make any sense. She's not showing anything that other characters in the same positions of power hadn't shown themselves including Jon, Arya and Sansa or any other well liked characters like Tyrion. She showed compassion to civilians and harsh attitude to her enemies and to slavers and that has been her consistent behaviour until season 8. She had compassion and goodness in her throughout the show.
@@rpgadventurer32She was a bit conflicted with herself many times, it went well when she listened to the advice of Tyrion. When she didn’t it went bad very fast! She talked about breaking the Wheel of all Houses of power, yet she demanded when meeting Snow first time he had to bend the knee because of her heritage and held him captive despite he was there on invite to talk! Soo there is a small stain I say, not perfect at least.
They should’ve stopped the show after season 6 and just waited for the books to be finished before finishing the show and just made HOTD instead and picked back up again when the books finished
@@tyrannozilla maybe who knows, I don’t think people hated them or wanted them fired before season 7 and 8. Maybe if the books were done it would’ve ended way better
Any production company that hires these two idiots are in for one hell of a nightmare. Honestly, this is so disastrous that you could probably make a pretty awesome documentary on this. "The fall of Game of Thrones and the writers who did it." Screw it. HBO Could come out with that one themselves. It's really amazing to me.... It's amazing to me how much of a phenomenon this series was shaping out to be, then falls flat on it's face, dead in a ditch. That's really incredible that you can be that incompetent to come out with that outcome.
I'd rather have seen the Night King and his White Walkers win the day. They walked in to the Godswood like bosses. They should've won. Instead these badasses were beaten by a teenage girl?!
Jaime should and other important characters should have died in the north. We should have seen a 1v1 Jamie vs night King. And 1 v 1 Brienne vs night King.
TBF, calling Arya at that point just a "teenage girl" is disrespectful and objectively wrong, given the skills she learned and feats she accomplished by that point.
@@SynthwaveDuck Mary Sue's don't suffer for their skills and don't need to train. None of that is true for Arya, she suffers greatly and isn't an immediate master.
Agreed. Strange as it sounds, we should be thankful that it ended as (well as) it did, and although I feel the same way most do about the final season and the two seasons prior to a certain extent, I still rewatch A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms from time to time. It's unusually upbeat and hopeful for a GOT episode, and it's one of my favourite from the entire show. I also appreciate the tension in the build-up to both The Long Night and (ahem) The Bells. What follows, not so much, though.
I actually think a movie or trilogy of films could've been cool. Seeing GoT on the big screen would've been hype and could have gotten MCU numbers. In addition, I believe the Others' invasion of Westeros could've made it to Kingslanding in this version due to cinema's grander stakes. The White Walkers would've been the final conflict instead of Cersei vs Daenerys
It depends on what a "snackable" episode is. If they mean a 10 minute youtube style episode, I would be down for that for some of the side quest stuff. There was a lot of stuff that happened off screen that could have seen a 5-15 minute "mini" episode. Side characters. The stuff going on with Gendry while he was "rowing" or what was Beric up to. The journey for Barristan Selmy, the decision and journey from Kings Landing to Essos to meet up with Dany. Some of the negotiations between Varys, and the Sand Snakes, or more of the Sand Snakes consolidating power after they killed Doran? etc etc, lots of stuff.
As someone who liked the ending, I definitely agree the final season should have been two of them, one for the Night King and one for the politics and Danny's decent
The show went into noticeable decline the moment they had no more books to mine. They were hacks and con men. More episodes from these clowns would have been even more painful.
The problem is they weren't adapting the material correctly. I get they couldn't put everything in the show but they cut way too much stuff. I think George would've finished the books by now if the show runners didn't rush to the end. Seeing how badly the show ended and knowing he will probably never see his ending on screen has left him unmotivated.
the only think i hated was the fast elimination of the white walkers and the night king. in the finale of season 2 you could see the army of the dead walking south. i always imagined the finale of the series with white walkers entering kings landing. was frustrating that they never came further than winterfell.
Fact 1 : If game of thrones were never made, we would have received complete A song of ice and fire series by now. Fact 2: But if it was never made I could have never came to know that something called A song of ice and fire exist in this world.
6:04 how tf did George want 14 seasons and books not done still till this day ? The writers would’ve been burnt out and it would’ve been the same problem unless George himself was going to write the later seasons 😂😂

And that is what should of happened! My understanding is HBO would've been happy to let someone else take over, but D&D didn't want that to happen, and that's absolute bullshit. They wanted all the glory without putting all the work in, and they rushed out those last two seasons like a bad trip to the toilet.
Yes. It was loosely held together crap.
Absolutely correct
Well they got the glory they deserved. I refuse to watch anything they are involved with.
D&D should have handed off the show to someone else that could have done it right. HBO & George should have demanded it.
Agreed. It's too bad there wasn't a signed agreement saying they had to make at least 13 seasons if the show kept doing well.
@@calvinm1866yes, then they could have included all the plot lines, too. Arrogant scardy-cats.

What in the hell were D&D thinking? I need like a 10-part documentary explain to me how in the hell such an exceptional show could turn into what it did. Maybe in 10 or 15 years we'll get the real inside scoop on what the heck was really going on behind the scenes.

Unless it was already in the books, they were awful when it came to pay-offs. Just had no idea how to do it.
Clever.

For me, it's always been how quickly the white walkers ended, all the build up for such a rushed ending.

I can't believe anyone wants to hear anything Dan and Dave have to say about anything after what they produced the last few seasons of GOT. I'm surprised they even have a job. Movies would have obviously been worse than what we got, but there is no going below zero, so it probably wouldn't have made any difference.
Put the blame where it belongs. Martin had seven years to finish the final book but he was too busy playing celebrity. He STILL hasn't finished it in fact. The show ran out of source material for the finish!
This. He still got away with it.
Your right, wtf he needs more then 10 years to write a promised book and still hasn’t delivered‼️
So yall know he gave them the the ending he wanted and the events before it, d and d blatantly disregarded that and left grrm out of everything
@jackwitt7430 I know but still they could bring in more magic not just for the convenience of the plot.
Battlestar Galactica and Lost used webisodes to great effect. But they were used to fill out corners of their settings that the main show had no space for. Not as a substitute for the actual hour long TV programs!
What D&D did the last season of GOT was horrible, but if they had done anything like what you talked about it would have been catastrophic.
Show went downhill after season 4 already. Season 7 was already garbage while 5 and 6 was still decent
@@meawiyaothman7872yeah honestly. If they weren’t going to make an as accurate as possible version of the show, season 5 and 6 were still mostly solid.
The community of people who love these things eventually get what they want but not from the commercial channels but from those who love it too-- Blessings of the Seven Upon You.
if they wanted to leave so badly why didn't they just leave and give the job to someone else
what they did was selfish, and they deserve all the critisism
Nah, the actors were exhausted as well
That would be have been a train wreck. 13 episodes already wasn't nearly enough. Had they stuck to their original plan with HBO, they'd have done 10 season with 10 episodes each. That would have been 27 additional episodes with which to properly wrap up plots, character arcs, etc. It would've been so much better.
At this point I just hope to see a "remake" in another 15 years or so.
EDIT: Movies could have been far superior to what we received.
In 15 years I will probably be dead. Please get this done before then.
Imagine reviving the series olders? 👀
A vertically shot series sounds like a horrible idea. Do they not realize these phones can turn sideways? 😅
🤣
Imagine the hole plots of the last 2 seasons being brought to us in tik tok form we live in some dark times😂😂
After all the years it is still painful to watch this two 🤡🤡! Not possible for me to watch a interview with them.
Agree. I think even having normal 10 or 11 episode seasons would have made a huge difference.
If they didn’t want to see the project through to the end, why didn’t they QUIT
Game of thrones was the series every one wanted too watch on the day it aired to not get spoiled the next day or even a few minutes after the episode ended . It didn't need any mini episode but maybe a minie series about Robert Rebellion would have been nice
This show could've been ranked #1 for decades to come, now we'llthink what if...thats the tragic part
Even as bad as it could have been, I am so glad that they didn't do movies.
We need an animated series or something to fully adapt the books. I would've loved to see Dorne done justice and Lady Stoneheart
I think there’s comics being made that are doing that… but I could be wrong, though. That, and I think it’s still adapting the second book.
This is like a “be greatfull for what you got, it could’ve been worse” 😂

Martin already told us we weren't getting a happy ending....what he meant was were aren't getting and ending at all.
Sounds like they just wanted to do movies. I would of respected them a lot more if they just told HBO they we're tired of writing this and they didn't want to produce below quality episodes. A clean cut is better then what they did.
No respect for RR Martin who let someone else finish his legacy book.
This isn't a revelation. This is something that it was talked about it at the time.
Martin cannot even finish his own novels, that's why they had to make it up.
Me before the video: There is no way it could have been worse than what they actually did.
Me after the video: Oh wow, that's actually worse...
This issue is so complex. I think actors wanted to be done, ATT tried to take over, no more source material, Dave and Dan loosing their touch all contributed
It could've been worse, such as killing every single main character left in s8.
but that whats makes game of thrones, game of thrones there's actual consequences to actions and characters you once hate can become characters you love later also killing every main character would've been so much better as long as it made sense like cersei getting killed by bricks really let me ask you this would you rather see again for the first time brick death or cersei watching her family being torn limb from limb from the dead as she helplessly watches cause she ignored jon and danys warning your gonna tell me brick death is better then that ?

They should've started with Aegon's conquest THEN they wouldn't have ran out of book material.
That was bullshit. See Game of Thrones Redeemed fanedit for how it really ended

Are u their D and D child?
13 hours didn't work, how the F**k do u think six hours would of worked -_-
What was so sad to me is it really didn’t even matter when it was revealed Jon was the true air
Nice work❤
It depends on what a "snackable" episode is.
HBO should have fired them season 6.
Im down to pretend it never happened.
They would've needed to have done them like the LOTR trilogy: 3 hr Cinematic release w/ 4 hr extended cut for home.
THIS DID NOT NEED TO BE SEVEN MINUTES LONG
I would just settle for them green lighting Snow.
the only think i hated was the fast elimination of the white walkers and the night king. in the finale of season 2 you could see the army of the dead walking south. i always imagined the finale of the series with white walkers entering kings landing. was frustrating that they never came further than winterfell.
Dude, nice af timing, ive been looking for a math resource ❤
At this point it doesn’t even matter, they butchered the ending…
In 30 years, i can see the series being remade
Fact 1 : If game of thrones were never made, we would have received complete A song of ice and fire series by now.
Fact 2: But if it was never made I could have never came to know that something called A song of ice and fire exist in this world.
I would strongly advise for an ending like the Dune series have, Martin wont finish it.
How did HBO or GRRM ever think these clowns were the right people for the job!? 🤦🏽♂️
6:04 how tf did George want 14 seasons and books not done still till this day ? The writers would’ve been burnt out and it would’ve been the same problem unless George himself was going to write the later seasons 😂😂
The fact that they were given free reign over 3 Body Problem after their chop job of Game of Thrones is terrifying.
Game of Thrones could have been a great movie. The two guys who did the show I would not let them do the movie
Thanks for the recommendation of Brilliant. I love it!
