- HRH The Princess Royal understands the problems that charities are facing currently in the horse world and does her bit to free up space for those horses in desperate need of rescuing and rehabilitating by rehoming World Horse Welfare's horse, Annie. The Princess hopes that others will follow her example and rehome rather than buy a horse when there are so many horses in desperate need of homes right now.

The Princess Royal is to be admired for her leadership in the care of abused horses and the re-homing of them, which does by adopting a horse.
Just love the concept of re-homing horses and bless Princess Anne for being a part of a wonderful endeavor. 🥰🇺🇸
The Princess Royal is her mother's daughter with her love of horses. She was an Olympian as is her daughter, Zara. Princess Anne is remarkable.
Very much respect PA, she is a true horsewoman since birth and the hardest working member of the royal family. People give her short shrift because she isnt as “popular” or glamorous as the younger generation but she is very determined, down to earth individual.
The horse is lovely, HRH even more. She seems down to earth, gracious, and kind.
The Princess Royal is an honorary title given to the eldest daughter of a King or Queen (in Anne's case, the only daughter). In her daily life, Anne is not much concerned with being royal, and in fact she decided her daughter and son should not be given royal titles because she didn't see that doing them much good in the modern world. As you can tell from the video, Anne is a down-to-earth, practical, straight-forward lady. She also is the hardest working member of the royal family and she is a fashion icon (you can find that on the internet too).
Just like her mother, Anne is lovely, calm and gracious. Nice horse!

Princess Anne is a horse woman all her life. Good for her for doing this as she proberly has a herd of horses with royal pedigrees. God bless them, I hope they have a good life together.

It is too bad Americans don't seem as familiar with the Princess Royal as they could be. She is an enormously hardworking lady, keeping a killer calendar of events, obviously intelligent and educated but also surprisingly witty at the most unexpected times. She also knows how to give a good speech; God knows she gives enough of them!

The Queen & Princess Royal are my favourite 'Royals'. Their love of horses is evident, and is, I believe, a delight to both of them. Princess Anne was a very gifted rider, who won a silver (I believe) medal in the Olympics many years ago. Her daughter Zara takes after her, & is also a medal winner in more recent Olympics. Horses care nothing for wealth & status. One has to earn their love & respect. Once earned, they give their all. wonderful creatures.
Princess Anne has much experience with horses. Wonderful looking mare will have a good life. And her words were never truer.
How wonderful that the Royal family support such organisations. A very big thank you to The Queen for supporting Battersea and Princess Anne for supporting the WHW.

I am Irish but have to say that Princess Anne is a wonderful person. as we say here, she doesn't suffer fools gladly!! Her deep love of horses is so evident and proof of a fundamentally good human.
Princess Anne is a gorgeous soul! She is wonderful and I am a fan. I remember as a girl watching her riding in competition on television.
Im not a royalist by any stretch of the imagination, but The Princess Royal has not only my admiration but also respect. I'm the same age,and have watched her gracefully grow older.

Very much respect for Princess Royal. Down to earth, and with enough compassion to adopt an abandoned animal, quite possibly not her first such action.
I love rescues like this.... I’m a foster for kitties and I contract with each new owner and in that they’re not allowed to rehome them if situations arise and they can’t care for them so by contract the animals are always welcome back to me or I assist in the care. I’ve only needed to take back one male as I tried to rehome him again and he showed very stressed behavior and I brought him home twice and realized he’s happy and at his best with me so he’s mine forever.
Princess you are beautiful inside and out. Thank you for giving her a great life.

It's sweet to think of the Queen, Princess Anne and her daughter Zara all having such a strong common interest in horses and riding. And Zara made her mother and grandmother so proud by winning a silver medal in the Olympics.

Beautiful example set by the Princess Royal! Lovely mare, and lovely work by WHW.
She looks frighteningly similar to a Welsh Cob x mare I used to ride! Same colour and same markings, also something of a rescue case, but the mare I knew was a mere 12.3hh. I wish that Australia had equine charities like WHW; you do such incredible work. And these success stories are so wonderful!

I have a welsh cob too! He's a 15hh gelding named Flynn. He's a liver chestnut with a blonde mane. What I love about him is that his registered show name is Willow Bran Bow Danielle 😂
Nice horse, lovely big eye and nostrils, and head set, neck. from what is seen of the body/legs when walking, looks like a real good horse.
Rehoming a horse is a viable option, as you get more information about the animal than from the dealer,really doesn't know the horse at all. Like buying a horse, it's not likely to find the right one the first time;but WHW will be able to contact you when something suitable becomes available.
I've rehomed a rescue filly :) x

The British Royal Family is fascinating. I've known people who worked for the family in several capacities, and people who knew people, and the consensus is the family while being royal also is a real family not much given to airs. Look at the tour scheduled and you will be amazed and how hard they work and how much they travel and all the good causes in which they are involved.

If I lived in the UK or where ever world horse welfare is I would definately rehome a horse from them.
I'm an American avid horse lover and rider. I would prefer to adopt a horse, rather than support another horse breeder. Unless you are breeding endangered breeds, we don't need any MORE horses. Enough are being slaughtered due to overproduction so, why support another breeder? Adopting is much better and, I wish I could get one of WWW's adoptable horses! Like they say, it frees up a new stall, and, they do everything for and to the horse needed to give them the best chance at a new life!
Id wish America had world horse welfare. Id adopt in a heartbeat.

She seems very down to earth, to me. I don't know what she's like behind closed doors, but nobody's perfect... we all have our little idiosyncrasies, so I'm not judging her.
I know a family who owns 3 horses they are very caring and I love watching them ride they recently added a horse to the field so now they have 4 horses
