World Horse Welfare rehome more horses than any other horse charity in the UK, with more than 300 horses rehomed in 2014 and around 1,600 in homes across the UK at any one time.
Our horses are rehomed from our four Rescue and Rehoming Centres, which are located at Belwade Farm in Aberdeenshire, Penny Farm in Lancashire, Hall Farm in Norfolk and Glenda Spooner Farm in Somerset.

This is the greatest home for a pony I could imagine! This is exactly what horses and ponies were bred to do hundreds of years ago and I'm so glad to see she's keeping the pony in such a good shape and condition.

Yes I wouldn't buy a horse nowadays we have rescued a few over the years and I would always get a horse in need of a home first. I am talking to my sister about replacing her gelding who died last year and we will definately be rehoming a horse one way or another. I have had a look at your site and as my sister is based in the North East of Scotland I would imagine it would be your Aberdeenshire place we will be contacting. My sister has plenty of space and if I contribute for winter feed we have stables at her house. We still have two horses who'se pregnant mothers were rescued by our late mum and they presented us with the Friesian X and Shetland that we still have today and both lived out their lives without having to be separated from their last foals (mum rescued them because they had been over bred and both had foot problems but had happy lives till they both passed naturally). This is a lovely video about your pony and I really want to get a cob for myself so my sister and I can go camping in the Highlands before I get too old lol! I was wondering if you needed to get permission to trek in the Highlands as you showed or do you just plan out a route and go for It?

Plan a route, check some sections on foot beforehand. Check walking websites for descriptions. We use mostly Right of Ways but check with local landowners and keepers if we are worried about encountering a locked gate. Hope this helps.
