My aging Acer Predator 1440P monitor died during Hurricane Milton. Bought an ASUS 38" 4k monitor to replace it. Decided to upgrade my ASUS TUF 3080 12GB while it still has some resell value since it was struggling on the new 4K monitor. Now with the 4K monitor and the 4080S going on sale it was a good time for me to upgrade my GPU. I just dropped an ASUS TUF 4080S in my gaming rig at 4k. Loving it. Will probably upgrade to a 5080 when the 6080 announces. Subscribed.😀
I'm the same, it's what held me back from the 4090 plus the money, as that is more aimed for 4K with the performance boost over the 4080 super. I'm sticking to 1440P and rather have stability and frames over higher resolution and tbh, if your using a 27" monitor for example, you don't really notice the difference with higher res on smaller screens than like a OLED 55" TV.
@@yutoot49 it is a high quality item. never gets above 65 C gpu and vram temps. if you smash it on the ground it will break sure, but that would be kinda dumb.
Im looking to buy the OC edition of this card in my first PC build. Will it fit in a Fractal North regular ATX mid-tower case? I also have a big beefy Noctua DH-15 duel tower cpu cooler. I hope it fits.
Scroll down to "pc" resolutions in the Nvidia dashboard. By default it recognizes it as a tv not a monitor. Once you select the resolution there it'll let you do the HZ too. Make sure you're using a 2.1 hdmi cable
@@Onyx1776 not at all. Look at the 3080 vs 6950xt. The 6950xt has better performance because of its 16gigs. Not talking about Dlss or Far either. Pure raw performance will always be better long term.

I am gonna be getting this one myself, though i plan to stick with 1440p 120fps, this way, i don't have to worry about future games.

The OC has manufacturer built in OC. You can manually overclock this as well. I always say it’s not worth it.

What is the slot next to the hdmi slots, it’s a rectangle next to the bottom hdmi slot. There is nothing behind it, it’s just an open rectangle.
Anyone know if/why the HDMI is limited to 60hz? My LG OLED doesn't have a display port, via HDMI I can only get 60 fps...?

Either or the 7900xtx with 24gigs will have longer lasting better performance for future proofing.
