This is my first time hearing Mr. Radcliffe sing, and I'm very pleasantly surprised! He sounds great and his character voice for Finch is absolutely adorable.
A lot of you guys in the comments are being extremely rude. Daniel is an amazing actor and performer and you can't base his ability off of a minute long clip. He is definitely one of the most talented people in show business today and his whole track record will show you that.

@eyescandeceive I agree, people seem to forget that not all actors from other countries can perfect accents since there's always that hint of their regianal tone in their voice. I can hear it in Dans' and I'm British myself haha I love him anyway and he's great :) been a fan since I was 6 when I first saw David Copperfield on BBC (he was a kid back then lol) and when Harry Potter came out I was extatic. Now, seeing him here in song and dance just reminds me how far he's come and how far he'll go
His voice goes higher when he's doing an American accent for some reason.

He's singing using an accent that's not his own. His voice will sound different
@HugglepuffOboeGirl remember that he had to learn how to speak in an american accent for the show. I agree, it did sound pitchy at points, but when I laid my eyes on him when they sang brotherhood of man, I was speechless, and it impressed me at just 10 years old!

I just finished watching the 1960's movie so it's a nice comparison. I'll agree Daniel didn't do as good of a job as the others, but hey, it's a pretty good break to get after making movies that he'll be branded for life with. I thought he did a decent job.
I'd recommend listening to the audio only version. Less slow pace and I actually prefer Daniels version. Not sure if you'd heard it or just this but I'm gonna assume you probably did lol

I feel like his singing voice for this is to fit a role, and not his real singing voice. I wonder what it really sounds like.

@PivotProDD Broadway is notorious for hiring really good singers and REALLy bad singers who also happen to be good actors. These two fall into the secon category as this show was fantastic (despite the so so singing).
It lacks the energy of the movie. Radcliffe's always a win, though.
I love Daniel,but it seems that he's forcing his singing out. The dances he does are very impressive(especially since this wasn't his original acting department).His acting is flawless(as always) and I'm very impressed.It takes alot of courage to preform on stage after being a big movie star.
I disagree with you. I think Darren needed more practice. He's good, but his voice wasn't as strong on stage as I thought it would be. He sang the songs a lot softer than I imagined he would... which doesn't really suite Broadway IMO. I was surprised that Dan's voice carried better onstage because he isn't as much of a singer as Darren. So while Darren is the better singer of the two, I think Dan's voice and acting suited this role better.

sorry but i disagree.. i think darren was so much better that you cant even compare the two!
He's talented, surely. His voice teacher should be indicted though; there is no reason for him to sing so unsupported and unengaged with his body. There is a much better voice in there; it hasn't been found yet
