I love the Chekov's Gun joke. Because that is exactly what Chekov's Gun is: introducing a gun meaning someone will get shot. So, for all he is wrong about acting, he gets something spot on... by getting it wrong 🤣
i love how half of these things are completely faked, like the button was actually made of fondant, but sometimes there's no other way than to act something than to genuinely do it
I sit through every minute of this just to watch Dennis say that immortal line "Is it me you're looking for?" Totally worth all the bumps and bruises from all the other mishaps and mashups....brilliant.
Filming for the Nativity Story special was done under very strict Covid rules and restrictions, I am amazed that they managed to get it filmed. They had a socially distanced reduced studio audience of around 75 people supplemented with a virtual audience watching.
@@norishimogawa6125 Probably what they refer to as “Noodle Incident”, it’s when they refer to something that’s never actually happened in the franchise’s canon but just mentioned, like all those Family Guy cutaways

I'm directing a "Goes Wrong" type of show and, while I already had immense respect for these guys, it has increased tenfold trying to do crazy things with my actors and have things go wrong safely and in a specific way. It's so ridiculously hard.
Oh. My. God. I have no idea what I just watched but I almost died of laughter! 🤣 Never heard of this show (?) as I am not British but I totally looove it! I want moore!
The group who perform it are the mains from Mischief Comedy! Definitely check them out! They have loads of shows currently in the West End, on UK tour and had some on Broadway (not sure about at the moment). So they do large shows not just tv. They also do improvs.
In 90 Degrees I wonder how the cast manage to perform in this scene with one set made at a 90 degree angle on its side, and the other scene made upside down without any nose bleeds.
from what the actors said about the scene, it was actually kind of complicated. They were only allowed to film for like one minute at a time so that they could be safe, and they had to take blood pressure tests and such to make sure they were okay. They also had to make all of the normal safety precautions and the medical precautions

It really helps to see it in context, especially when each episode has its own particular set up and running gags. Also, over the course of the season, you can see some development of the relationships. For a while, all the episodes were on Amazon Prime for free. Right now, you can watch for free if you get the Broadway HD trial. Or you can spend $9.99 to see the entire season 1.
I would make this video but it would just be the entire first season christmas episode. Loved it so much that I screenrecorded it the day that it was set to be taken off of BBC iPlayer and now I have it saved on a USB drive for when I feel sad.

3:45 has anyone (OU?) done a cut of all these moments from their various works (going back to The Play); when some noise in the background ("unplanned" of course) has to be shouted and (I think) mostly sung over… and in the middle of the dialogue/song the noise cuts out and they go back to normal?
I made the mistake of introducing most of my family through The Nativity, which is probably the weakest episode of the show. Luckily, I introduced Dad through 90 Degrees and we watched them in a different order, so he really liked it.
The skill it takes to deliberately act badly whilst acting the part of an actor who is genuinely trying to do a good job, I adore Mischief Theatre!
Their attempts to react naturally to these mistakes are really bad though 😆
It's all acting regardless.

I mean to give Dennis credit, “Toothpaste, 1.69” is the only play they’ve done all the way through with no mistakes.
