Nice beautiful day man. I was fishing this past Sunday the outgoing tide was absolutely ripping out. I won’t say where but close to you. Caught 1 snook on a DOA shrimp. Cast up current let it float by in moving tide twitch twitch he nailed it. I credit your channel JC for improving my skills over time. 👍🏻
Good times JC! The big jacks have been in and out of the pass nonstop for the past month or so just chasing bait around. Keep at it, I’m sure you’ll find some other good fish around there. Tight lines
Man I know alot of people consider Jack's a trash fish but I'll catch em all day long!!! You'll have a sore shoulder for sure but dang they're lots of fun!! Especially a big one like that!!!
About 35 years ago I encountered a school of them fishing in JBay back in NY. They were only a couple of pounds but what a fight. I could only imagine what hooking up to a big one must be like. I heard the GTs fight even harder pound for pound.
I have not fished in FL sense the 1990's I was born in Brevard County in 1957 live on the NC coast we can't catch jack up here I miss FL fishing hope to get back there someday soon.
I remember one time I was on pompano pier and a big school of amberjacks come thru. They must have been 4 to 5 ft. long every one of them. They were smashing everything in the water. Then they were gone before you could even cast at them. Crazy
That ladyfish would have been no problem for a great blue heron. I've seen them eat big gophers, snakes, ducklings, and even baby alligators. After all, they're dinosaurs.
That’s a nice Jack !!! He was a big boy!! And the bird 😂 was like what we get I’m ready to eat 😂😂. I love the animals!! Sometimes they can get in the way. But it’s their turf lol.
Hi jc can you tell me what rod and reel were you using and the name and size of the yo zuri lure you mentioned for the jacks appreciate you help thanks.
I just lost my Penn battle II 4000 with Penn 8’ surf rod ti a boat snatching it out of a set rig so after a lot of research and considering I listened to JC and got a Penn pursuit Iv with an ugly stik big water. Bass Pro had the combo for $99 Which would be 130+ separately so looking forward to a nice budget setup.
Thanks for asking the number one question on this channel. You are not alone. I don't reveal locations 99% of the time out of respect for local angling communities. Thanks for watching.
Woke up one morning, and overlooking the ocean saw schools after school, went down and casted, Bluefish, caugt 3 2-4 Lbs, burried in moist sand, crimped barbs a caught/released probaly 30, asked people passing by if they wanted some fish, weird look at me but casted and they walked away whith fish everyone
Shore fishing is too good right now. The kayak takes a lot more work to get on and off the water, cleaned up and stored. Shore fishing, grab a rod, tackle, cooler and go.
I'm pretty sure brackish means a mixture of salt and fresh water. Usually you'll find on an outgoing tide that the water isn't as clear. Also after large amounts of rain the water is stained from all of the land drains that pour dirty rain water into the inner coastal water ways.
Definitely edible. I like them batter fried but I've also heard if you bleed them, skin them, and cut out the blood line you can treat them like a really lean steak and use smoky flavors. Supposed to be really really good on the grill
@@biologicalhunter520 yep & it works & i cooked them scampi style it was delicious bu i cut off the last 1 inch of the tail too that end meat is very strong just like on tuna fish just try it

JC that cart she has is at SAMs and it’s nice for the beach and chairs etc I use it for my rods and rod holders when the kids aren’t going with me.

Got some good shots in there

I love the channel. Always a good job. With all due respect 🙏🏿 please stop perving. We can all see it J.C.
Hey JC, don’t they say it’s bad luck First fish first cast you had great videos buddy maybe I’ll see you on the point of spring from Chicago area Ted
Old Fred thought he could eat that Jack how funny.
I know where you are haha. Beautiful area over there!
Love the video. I could right a book on the tourist interactions. I give them good info usually but it’s all in fun. Thanks.

Keep your eye on your line, and your mind on the fish. :) :) :)
Great videov
Catching 🐟 'you to' lol

I’ve been catching Pomp’s on the Fort Pierce Jetty
What is that rod your using?
Nice channel! What is your setup, besides the reel that you provided the link to, as in rod and braid strength?

Like my bud says , THE TUG IS THE DRUG! Don’t care what species it is as long as it’s ripping drag. well done on the pomp set up
Where did you catch that jack?
Thanks for asking the number one question on this channel. You are not alone. I don't reveal locations 99% of the time out of respect for local angling communities. Thanks for watching.
@@RadReelingFishing I'm from fort Myers. I'd like to fish with you
What beach?
Woke up one morning, and overlooking the ocean saw schools after school, went down and casted, Bluefish, caugt 3 2-4 Lbs, burried in moist sand, crimped barbs a caught/released probaly 30, asked people passing by if they wanted some fish, weird look at me but casted and they walked away whith fish everyone
I am to close to the beach to not be catching fish like that. Bass is fun but that has to be a rush
When we gonna see you in a kayak again . 😊
Shore fishing is too good right now. The kayak takes a lot more work to get on and off the water, cleaned up and stored. Shore fishing, grab a rod, tackle, cooler and go.
Question for you : if the water is brackish does that mean the tide is coming in?
I'm pretty sure brackish means a mixture of salt and fresh water. Usually you'll find on an outgoing tide that the water isn't as clear. Also after large amounts of rain the water is stained from all of the land drains that pour dirty rain water into the inner coastal water ways.
What part of Florida do you fish??
hanks for watching. SW FL, but I don't reveal locations 99% of the time on this channel.
Nice jack. Too bad no pomp
Living vicariously through your videos from SE PA. Amazing stuff as always. Will you be doing more kayak videos in the future?
Thanks for watching. Yes I will be. Right now shore fishing is excellent and a lot easier than kayak fishing.
@@RadReelingFishing Thanks for the reply, JC! Hope all is well with you and yours and keep up the awesome videos!
arent those juacks edible every one throws them back??
Definitely edible. I like them batter fried but I've also heard if you bleed them, skin them, and cut out the blood line you can treat them like a really lean steak and use smoky flavors. Supposed to be really really good on the grill

Scared me JC with that thumbnail...I thought that was you in a bikini for a second 😬
What happen to your autopilot
It's in storage right now. This is a great time of year for shore fishing. Shore fishing is a lot less work for me than kayak fishing.
You know eat thes fish
I'll give you a cart like that ladies. I got it free.
Gotta hookum to cookum salaam peace
Women asking about the camera... Thinking it's all about them or men with cameras are 👹. 😆 Get over it lady 🤣 he just fishing.
Seem a little tired in this video. Did you stay up all night playing music?
People are so annoying. “What’s the video camera for?”…. Obviously recording video
