Watch the early UFC when there were no gloves. The fighters couldn’t punch as hard and were way more timid with their punches. If anything the gloves actually make the sport more exciting
An MMA career is already short, rarely exceeding 30 fights over like 10-15 years. Now imagine only being able to fight once a year because you're constantly recovering from cuts and broken hands. You'll have guys coming into the UFC at like 5-0, having 10 fights and then retiring. No chance to build a legacy or have a great career even if it's more pure.

Idk i think grappling is hard in mma its so hard to submit someone in comparison to on the street with no gloves. If its a crazy street fight where you have to worry about more than one opponent then grappling is almost not a factor besides takedowns takedowns are king then but staying on the ground is almost a no go but im not talking about that

Masidal recently put on a bareknuckle mma event and while it was entertaining, fight after fight with no stopping power and a barrage of decisions isn't going to sell to the masses. So the argument would be, why not throw palm strikes and elbows more then? Boxing has conditioned us martial artists to throw with incorrect techniques for bare Knuckle fighting. The wild leaping hooks in boxing would not work because you would break Ur hands and wrists too easily

Someone disrespected my girl like a month ago.. we fought, he slipped and I hailed punches on his head. My hands hurt like 3weeks, and my shoulders hurt AF. He didn't hit me but we both suffered. Can't imagine what fighters go through because our fight lasted less than 2mins and people stopped us

For a correct striker, the bare nuckle would benefit a striker. Strike would be faster, less telegraphed, and hit harder
