Sure, if your only counting face shots. In the clinch perry was going crazy and scoring a lot of body shots which is where i think prople are getting confused about how it was scored. If you land 10 body shots in 10 seconds and the rest of the round your opponent lands 9 face shots you still win the round.

I’ve fought several bare knuckle Lethwei fights while training as a Farang in Koh Samui Thailand. What most don’t understand is that a normal boxer, fighter, etc is accustomed to fighting and training with gloves on. It’s the complete opposite with Bare Knuckle Sports you cannot just jump into it and expect not to destroy or get your body destroyed by someone who has already conditioned their body and limbs to extreme hits. You have to develop your bone density in your hands, knuckles, and especially wrists. It’s also completely different and extremely difficult getting hit and keeping an extremely tight guard. You have to stay tense the whole entire time especially when striking or you will destroy you’re hands on you’re opponents head. I admittedly could not hang with that extreme style of fighting but I am so glad I got to experience the opportunity to fight more than 1 legitimate Lethwei Match in my Life.

I agree from a traditional boxing standpoint BUT I have to say Perry controlled the ring the entire time. I don’t know if that’s as aspect the judges use. Also thought during the initial rounds at least MVP got a lot of dirty shots to the back of the head and hands to the face. Perry may have pushed or head butted MVP as well. I think they scored it in Perry's favor just due to knock-down early in a first round. However I would say MVP was causing more dmg and controlled the fight. His dodging abilities and movement seemed to me superior over a Perry.

He was backing up the whole fight though. Its easy to look good when ur on the defense not taking as much risk as Perry. If the league rewards fighters like that with a win, it can cause a domino effect making most of the fights boring. Like we Are seeing with wrestlers in the UFC

After hearing about this fight and finally getting around to watching it I was very surprised to see how it was scored. I thought MVP won 4 out of 5 rounds. I feel like Mike got a real gift with the draw but he definitely made the most of it in round 6
id say mvp won 2-3-4 he got dropped round 1 and was gassed round 5. he should’ve won the decision but he had nothing left in round 6 his punches had no sting to them and he could barely lift his hands

I think the draw was reasonable. Mike took the first round with a knockdown, mvp took the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, and mike came back for the 5th. The real determining factor was that mvps knockdown in the 2nd was ruled a slip, which was a bad call imo.
How is he skinny, that MF is muscle pure, he is not a beefcake, he is focused power. Just his long limbs are probably more powerful due to the leverage they give, thats why his taekwondo long range style suits him so perfect, to get his full leverage out.

I’ve fought several bare knuckle Lethwei fights while training as a Farang in Koh Samui Thailand. What most don’t understand is that a normal boxer, fighter, etc is accustomed to fighting and training with gloves on. It’s the complete opposite with Bare Knuckle Sports you cannot just jump into it and expect not to destroy or get your body destroyed by someone who has already conditioned their body and limbs to extreme hits. You have to develop your bone density in your hands, knuckles, and especially wrists. It’s also completely different and extremely difficult getting hit and keeping an extremely tight guard. You have to stay tense the whole entire time especially when striking or you will destroy you’re hands on you’re opponents head. I admittedly could not hang with that extreme style of fighting but I am so glad I got to experience the opportunity to fight more than 1 legitimate Lethwei Match in my Life.

I think the draw was reasonable. Mike took the first round with a knockdown, mvp took the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, and mike came back for the 5th. The real determining factor was that mvps knockdown in the 2nd was ruled a slip, which was a bad call imo.
