@@Rick-bi9fw not for wallace era. The scottish and english armys kit and armour at that time was almost identical. The facepaint came from about 1000 years prior. Pictish people wore it but at that time so did britons and germanic tribes etc...

The blue face paint was called wode. Theres a documentary about it called "Braveheart". Quite well done and only slightly off in a few points. The major thing was Wallace never actually rode a horse. His steed was the now extinct giant Highland hairy haggis.

William Wallace was a real person , he fought in two battles , one was the Battle of Stamford Bridge , which he won , and the other was in Falkirk , which he lost , he was captured after that and was hung drawn and quartered by the English to try and break the Scotish will .
